“hi! welcome to komo-” when he whirls around, bright, customer-service smile ready to dazzle someone with his wit & charm, he wasn't expecting you to be standing there, basked in the light of a winter afternoon, staring thoughtfully at the menu above his head.

calm down, thoma, it's just y/n- my god, it's y/n! wait- put down the cup before you fucking drop it & make a fool of yourself.

his suddenly shaking and sweaty hands set down the mug he was cleaning on the counter with a clink, opting to set his hands against the familiar grooves & dips of the cashier screen instead.

“hi, um, welcome to komore teahouse! how can i help you?”

he flashed you his best grin, although he doesn't really have to try, as he realised his jaw is starting to hurt from how hard he was smiling once he spotted you.

“wow, thoma, i didn't know you worked here. do you run this place by yourself?” you smiled back at him, and he swears the room suddenly got brighter, you can't do this to him- he'll go blind!

so that's why ayaka gasped and suddenly dipped into the backroom, she must've spotted you from outside the window... she's never going to let this one go, thoma.

“i'm the only one out here right now. usually there's other people too.”

he replies, face heating up as you lean forward to get a better look at the menu. when you draw back you watch him fumble with those really gorgeous eyes he could get lost in... focus!

“anyways, i can, uh,” he stammers, attempting to find something to do with his hands. is it too awkward to pick up the mug again? or should i just keep it like this? am i gripping this too hard?

“can i get your coffee? i mean do you want drink? want cup? i-... thirsty?”

you laugh, and he hears wedding bells & angel choirs (even if you are laughing at his expense).

“calm down, thoma, i'm not going to eat you.”

you puff out your cheeks as your eyes scan the menu again, and his heart almost jumps out of his chest, and he's pretty sure you can hear the comical BA-DUMP, BA-DUMP of his heart wailing & screaming and doing cartwheels.

“how about that one?” you point at the far right display board, and he can already see the curly script of ayaka's handwriting in his mind.

how does our barista see you? get them to choose a drink based on how much they like you (or not)!

“the one where i have to choose something?”

you laugh at his horrified expression, “yes, thoma, the one where you have to choose something.”

you lean on the table, hand steepled as you place your chin neatly upon them, eyes fluttering in pretend innocence as you stare up at him.

“how do you see me?”

THINK CAREFULLY, DUMBASS. THIS CAN RUIN YOUR RELATIONSHIP FOREVER.

“maybe... the chocolate mocha latte?”

ARE YOU STUPID?

he sees your eyes flicker over the board, no doubt trying to figure out what a chocolate mocha latte means. he watches as your face stretches from confusion into a cat-got-the-canary grin.

“maybe?”

“uh, no, you are.”

he flashes you his signature smile- the one grandma coos over and everyone in a five mile radius swoons over. might as well die on this hill.

CHOCOLATE MOCHA LATTE - I WANT YOUR SMILE TO LAST FOREVER.

“well, thoma,” you muse, seemingly unperturbed by his basically-a-love-confession answer, “i'll give you... a caramel expresso.”

a caramel expresso? but that's... he whips his head around to make sure he's not imagining it. but as he suspected, in pristine white chalk looped across the board accompanied with a crude drawing of a coffee cup-

“i love you?” he splutters, surely, you must mean something else-

“i love you too, thoma.”

you laugh as he turns as red his apron, eyes widen as he gapes at you, “how did you know?”

“about your pretty obvious crush? ayaka had enough, so she told me. but i guess i hid my end pretty well,” you cheekily smile at him, and lean forward to press your lips against his cheek, and he splutters, the normally all-competent & head-screwed-on-straight thoma reduced to a simple tomato, and even more adorable, it seems.

“so?” you question, but all you get in return as a series of frantic incoherent noises.

genshin boys as break up tropes

albedo: the “i left because the longer i stayed, the less i loved myself” trope, because you were tired of always feeling like the way he looked over at you had grown into a sense of repulsion rather than love.

childe: the “i know what’s good for me and i knew it wasn’t you” trope, because even as he flees the scene with a cruel smirk and leaves you to take the fall on the moist dirt with blood on your hands — in the distant gleam of flashing red lights and faint shouts echoing in the tranquil woods…you still think he’s a good person.

diluc: the “i love the memories more than i love you” trope, because at some point, the both of you had realized you only dragged the relationship on, with the basis that the person in front of you was the still the same one you swore you remembered in your head.

kazuha: the “there are some things that you just have to walk away from, no matter how much it hurts” trope, because you hate that you would never bring yourself to love anyone more than the destined wanderer, and he hates that he would never find it in himself to love anyone the same way he loved the you that wished to settle down.

gorou: the “and i waited, and i never complained — because i figured you’d love me” trope, because he finally realized that the biggest mistake wasn’t falling for you, but for thinking that you had fallen for him too.

Appreciates you especially if you tried so hard to pull for him. He really did his best in order to come home but he’s such a generous person to others and let them come home to you first before himself--such a gentleman, huh?

Oh! You have a Staff of Homa or Deathmatch? Are you going to-

Black Tassel… alright, well at least it gives him a lot of HP! It doesn’t matter that it once was from Zhongli or maybe Hu Tao or you specifically built it for him. He doesn’t really mind because you puting him in your team is just enough for him to be happy.

If you level him up to 80 or 90, he’d be extremely grateful, but to be honest? Whatever level you have him on, he will still do his best whenever you put him on your team and remain loyal to you til the end. The additional power and strength are just bonus points to him.

Helping you is his pleasure, he takes absolute delight in having to assist you and your team in any way he can.

When you don’t place him on your team, he’s a little bit sad but he doesn’t brood over such negativities and is just here to help… that’s it, basically.

Take him to Mondstadt every once in a while! He gets homesick as well, of course, so he will appreciate you if you take him there. You’ll probably see him with the dogs or cats around the square near the fountain, or maybe greeting the vendors and trying to meet the others whom he hadn’t seen for a long time. Where’s his mother anyway? He should try to find her.

When you or your team is in danger he would probably switch to himself on his own accord. You’d sometimes think this is a glitch but he does that most of the times, especially since he was beginning to have feelings for you.

You probably will see your foods increase when you look so closely, or even your fishes that comes from Inazuma. The culprit? Of course, it’s him. There’s no one else who can cook a lot and also catch fish for you like that.

Your teapot house oh Archons. You were just muttering how you like things this way and that in your teapot but you just couldn’t find the time and the next time you log in, he already did it for you.

Your smile makes his day so there are probably times he crits better when he feels energized by your positivity! You’ll find yourself praising him and this continues on until the end of the fight.

When you realize it had been him all long and that he became self aware, he won’t try to hide it from you and would just go along the flow, basically.

I could imagine actually in the Dream of Bloom event, you will find a couple of extra flowers on your inventory, probably one each day--he did that too.

𝐃𝐈𝐋𝐔𝐂, despite his stoic and grumpy disposition, is quite affected by your lack of attention to him. He knows it's immature, but he wants you to smother him with your love. Diluc's been touch-starved for so long, and he's practically gotten addicted to your affection at this point.

So he'll do what he does bestーstare holes into your soul until you look at him. By the time you do, you nearly jump out of your skin. Diluc looks ready to commit homicide at a moment's notice.

When you finally give him a nice kiss on the cheek and hug him close, it's hard to tell the difference, but you can see the happy sparkles in his eyes. There's no visible smile on his face, but the way his eyes light up is enough to give away how happy he feels.

𝐙𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐋𝐈 may seem like he's not affected by your sudden lack of affection, but it later clicks in his head that you haven't given him your daily torrent of kisses. In fact, you haven't given him that much of your attention at all.

He surprises you when he suddenly just hugs you from behind, his arms practically swallowing your frame. The thing is, he refuses to let go, breathing in your scent, and let out content sighs, his deep voice slipping out on occasion with each breath. It's his way of being clingy and mopey.

You finally sit on his lap while you pepper his face with kisses, and tell him how handsome he is and how smart he is, and endless praises fall from your mouth, lovingly baby-talking him, and Zhongli eagerly eats it up with a content smile.

𝐃𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐈𝐅 has been touch starved for so long, and once he got a taste of your affection, he became addicted, wanting more of your kisses, but being too shy to ask for even a simple cheek kiss. So it quite obviously affects him if you haven't paid him any attention.

He'll stare at you, not breaking his gaze for anything, and won't stop until you turn to him. When you're walking about, he'll come from behind you and embrace you, tightly. He'll stay quiet for several moments, basking in your presence to fill up his attention gauge. When he does eventually speak, he softly asks you if he hurt you in any way, and you have to reassure him that he didn't anything wrong.

His stoic face, similar to Diluc, doesn't give away his feelings, however, there is a small smile upon his lips as you pepper his face with kisses while playing with his hair and letting out the occasional praise of how cute he is, of how handsome your Dainy is, and so on. He'll refuse to let you go for some time after that.

𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐔𝐓𝐄 𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐀 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐄𝐍, 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐁𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐄𝐆𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐃

𝐊𝐀𝐄𝐘𝐀 is a stinky and cunning bastard, he'll often talk, with you right there, about how mean and neglecting his s/o is, not giving him kisses or hugs, leaving him all alone and brokenhearted. You're so close to smacking him for being such a stinky smooth-talker.

He can and will blow hot air onto your ear, and pull away with a smug smirk as if he didn't just fluster the hell out of you. He'll continue this behavior, along with poking and prodding at you like it's nothing. Hell, Kaeya will even do the ' I'm not touching you ' just to see your reactions.

When you crack and eventually hold him close, Kaeya will have a very smug smirk as he hugs you back while ruffling your head. Don't try him, he'll just turn the tables on you. He knows damn well what he's doing after all.

𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐄 is quite the touchy and handsy young man, always having his hands on you, not caring who is watching. He loves having his hands all over you and is constantly giving you kisses as well. So he doesn't take it too well when you stop paying attention to him.

He can and he will drape himself on you, whining about how cruel and heartless you are, and clings onto you. He rubs his cheek against the top of your head as he squishes you close to him. Childe is acting likeーwell, a child.

When you get tired of his whiny ass, he will refuse to let you go, demanding payment for making him go through that hell. You deadpan at his demands, but go along with it as you ruffle his hair and press a kiss on his nose, while he eagerly smiles and soaks up the attention.

𝐓𝐎𝐇𝐌𝐀, similar to Childe, is also quite the touchy and physically affectionate man, loving the feeling of your skin against his hands. He loves holding your hand as well, as it lets him keep you close to him. Tohma also loves giving and receiving kisses as well, so you know that he's going to act offended should you not pay attention to him.

Tohma will act like a damn widow, fake sobbing and whining about how his s/o isn't giving him the love he deserves, and how they've neglected him so much. If you don't want the entirety of Inazuma to hear his whines, then you'd better drag his ass back inside. Even then good luck, since he'll continue to be a drama queen about not getting your attention.

You finally had enough of his whiny ass and kissed him, hard. Tohma was frozen for a very long time, even after you've pulled away. Then it slowly clicks in his head, and he starts getting redder and redder and hides his face in his hands. He refuses to look in your eyes and ends up being the flustered one instead.

𝐃𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐖𝐎𝐍'𝐓 𝐋𝐄𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐕𝐄

𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐎𝐔𝐂𝐇𝐄 is such a brat about your affections; he'll hiss at you to quit it and swat you away, but later attempt to cling to you as you're busy doing your business. He may act like a brat but he's your brat, and he's the only one who gets your kisses. So he's pissed when you stop paying attention to him.

He'll give you the death stare the entire time you're not paying attention to him, and you're just deadpanning while he burns holes into your very soul. Archons forbid you to pay attention to anyone elseーhe's practically seething. Scara will march right over, and yank your hand and slap it onto his head.

You're pretty irritated because of how moody Scara is, but you just go along with it and begin to rub his head. His once irritated face has now turned into one of soft happinessーit's almost unnerving. But he's like a cute kitty, so you'll let him get away with itーthis time.

𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐊𝐒 𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐒 𝐔𝐏𝐒𝐄𝐓

𝐀𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 is such a sweetheart that melts under your touch and kisses, and he lives for it. He also loves returning these affections as well, wanting you to know how much he loves you as well. But you really must not know how much he craves your affection because if you stop your affections, he gets antsy.

Aether is understanding if you're not in an affectionate moodーwork does take a toll on people so it's not far-fetched that you haven't kissed him in a while. But he starts to overthink, concerned if he did something wrong that upset you, and it starts to echo around his mind. So he begins to become more and more worried and has the saddest face everーlike a sad puppy.

You feel so bad that your lack of attention and affection hurt Aether in this way, so you spend a nice majority of time reassuring him and pressing comforting kisses all over his face. He's such a kind baby.

𝐀𝐋𝐁𝐄𝐃𝐎 isn't as physically affectionate or just affectionate in general as some would like, but you don't mind. You like giving him a kiss before he's off to his lab, and another to his cheek when you come to visit. He hums whenever you do so, as it feels nice and he appreciates the gesture.

At first, Albedo isn't all too bothered without the presence of your attention and affections. He does have the habit of staying up in his lab for extended periods of time after all. But if it continues, even with him being physically present, then he gets a bit salty. Not in a rude way, but more so that he just wants your attention after all that harsh lab work, and you're not sparing him a glance.

He's pretty blunt about it too, but even you don't fail to notice to subtle hurt look in his eyes. He's satisfied with your frantic answer that you didn't mean anything by it, but he won't leave until he gets your attention. You award him with a sweet kiss that lasts a few good seconds then pull away and smile.

𝐗𝐈𝐀𝐎 isn't all that familiar with affection, especially that of the physical kind. Particularly the hugs and kisses that you've introduced him to. Of course, you make sure that you're not pushing the yaksha beyond his limits and gauging how comfortable he is. He doesn't say it often, but he enjoys the gentle brush of your fingers against his cheek as you kiss the tip of his nose.

At first, Xiao just thinks that your lack of attention is just due to you being a troublesome human and seems to brush it off. But the longer he goes without your affection or attention, the more his thoughts begin to blame him. Xiao begins to wonder if he said something particularly harsh that hurt your feelings and begins to think that it's all his fault that this happened.

When you noticeーno, see how down Xiao has become, you worry that his karmic debt has become too unbearable today, so you begin to worry and fuss over him. When he finally tells you that it isn't his karmic debt, but rather, he thinks that he's pushed you away because you haven't paid him any mind. You blinkーonce, twice, before hurriedly reassuring him that it isn't his fault before you hug him close and kiss his forehead.

Xiao's pretty cute when he pouts like thatーcomplete with his blushing too.

𝐊𝐀𝐙𝐔𝐇𝐀 is such a sweet and kindhearted man, quietly accepting your physical affections with a soft blush adorning his cheeks. If you didn't know any better, you'd think that he'd almost purr, like a content cat. He rests his head on your chest as you play with his hair and whenever he wants to be embraced.

The ronin isn't visibly upset by the lack of your attention, as he keeps his usually emotionless expression on. But to those who know him best, they can see that after some time that he starts to look a bit dejected and sad without your usual kisses. He just looks like a dejected puppy at this point.

But he won't idle around, so he'll stride up to you, and softly ask if he did anything wrong, or if he hurt you in some way. You blink before you apologize for accidentally neglecting him, and offer to make it up to him. He perks up excitedly at the thought of getting lots of kisses and head rubs.

He's such a cutie.
