Okay so X is seen as some sort of god like being in this piece, it's shown by the fact he's the only one with outlines and has a more sharp artstyle meanwhile Four's figure is softer and blends with the background because he's not the important one here.
X's figure is defined, clean and sharp meanwhile Four's figure is messy, undefined and smudged. However in the places where it's the other's colour palette it's different
Four's eyes are sharp and defined because it's a part of X while X's paw pads are less defined and splotchy because it's a part of Four.
This can signify a lot of things; the connection between a god and their follower, the purity within the sinful and the sin within the pure, and more
Another point on X's figure, his entire style is different. The shading, the technique, the rendering. It's all different from the rest of the piece
It could be to signify the difference between the godly and the normal, it could be to show the importance of his figure. it could be because his image is defined, others around him have defined his image as a god like being while Four has no real image built around him
