As a gay man, I have to say I’m very offended with the infantilization of queer people and queer stories in the IWTV fandom, bc it looks like we only matter to you when it’s cute, sexy and funny and that it’s bullshit, Interview with the Vampire iT’S A HORROR SHOW with bad people doing bad things, and that it’s GREAT, we need more shows like this, that treats us with the same complexity as any other show with straight characters. WE CAN BE COMPLEX, MESSY AND VIOLENT just like any other person.
People, especially cis het white women, need to STOP fetichizing queer men, WE ARE NOT YOUR BABYGIRL. we are complex people. Ep. 5 was great, it was hard to watch? yes, but that it’s great television, give them an Emmy, you honor, THE ACTING, THE WRITING was amazing. Jacob, Sam and Bailey… we love you.
