I felt the need to post this here, I wrote this in 2022 and posted it on Ao3, but I orphaned it because one of my friends found my account and I was like fuck this shit I'm out. But I wanted to reclaim it, so here it is on Tumbler for more of the world to see.

Description: Matt is very tired today, but his boyfriends have a surprise for him.

Matt was in the office quietly working (barely staying awake) when he got a call from Wade. The phone hadn’t even said Wade’s name twice before he answered.

“Heeeyyyyy sweetheart, love of my life, cutest person I’ve ever seen,” in the background Matt could here a quiet hey, but the voice held no malice. “Don’t get offended peteypie, anyway my beautiful, adorable, pretty, fabulous, smart, incredible boyfriend. Honestly I could keep going if you like?”

“Please don’t Wade.” Matt said covering his face with the hand not holding the phone. “What did you want?” He asked softly, the exhaustion of the day setting back in. “Whaaaaaat can’t a guy just call his super duper amazing boyfriend.” Wade said in his over the top dramatic voice. Not to be confused with his everyday dramatic voice. “No he can’t unless said guy is 2 seconds away from walking through this door to come and scoop me up and take me home so I can sleep for the rest of the year and have cuddles.” Matt said, resting his head on his desk.

“Beautiful? What’s wrong? It’s only 2pm and you sound like you want to jump off a 20 story building and not in a daredevil kind of way.” Peters sweet voice came from the phone this time. “Sorry. Just… stupid clients, stupid job, stupid life just want to go home be with you both, want sleep, want cuddles…” Matt started to ramble about all the things he wanted at that moment. Peter and Wade both listened lovingly, knowing this was a big improvement, (even if it was mostly his sleep deprived mind speaking) since it was so hard to get Matt to tell them what he needed or wanted.

“Sorry I rambled. Anyway what did you want?” Matt said.

“Don’t be sorry, we love hearing your voice.” Peter said, and even though he couldn’t see Matt, he could tell that he was blushing. “We ACTUALLY wanted you to come home, because we have a present for you.” Wade chimed in with a sing song voice. This immediately perked Matt’s interest, not feeling quite as tired anymore.

“What’s the present?” Matt mumbled mainly to himself, forgetting for a second that his partners could still hear him. “You’ll just have ta come home and find out!!!” Wade chirped excitedly. “But we both fully understand that if your to tired we can just give it to you after a nap.” Peter added quickly. “‘m not to tired.” Matt reassured them both. “Well then you better hurry home sweetie pie.” Wade said happily. “ALSO… I baked cookies.” Wade paused for dramatic affect. “Ok, ok, I’ll be home soon. Love you both.” Matt said, and just before hanging up he could hear them both say I love you’s back, making Matt smile.

Matt sluggishly put everything away, grabbed his cane and walked out his office door. “Foggy?” Matt said, half expecting him not to answer with how quiet his voice was and with the sound of the obnoxiously loud printer printing in the corner. “Yeah Matty.” Foggy answered, as he came into the reception room and walked over to the printer. “I’m going home now Foggy, because Peter and Wade want me back home for a ‘present’ and ummm you know…” Matt didn’t finish the sentence always a bit embarrassed to admit it. “That you consider them as your dom’s even though they haven’t put a collar on you yet.” Foggy finished, Matt only nodded sheepishly.

“Go on, get out of here then. We don’t have anymore clients until tomorrow afternoon and I was thinking of closing soon anyway.” Foggy said collecting the papers that had just finished printing and practically shoved Matt out the door. “And don’t think about coming in until ten tomorrow, if you come any earlier I will not let you in.” Foggy stated. “Fine, fine. By Fogs.” Matt said. “By Matt.” Foggy replied.

The thing was that Foggy was in on the whole thing that Wade and Peter were about to do, because the 2 of them came in one day when Matt was out to ask for his blessing. Sure they didn’t have to tell Foggy anything, but they found it necessary to tell him, because of how close the two are. And definitely not because Peter and Wade were slightly scared of a protective Foggy. No not at all.

Matt slowly walked into the apartment, slightly nervous, a little exited, but mainly happy to be home. As soon as he chucked his keys and folded up cane on the bench, Matt felt a pair of arms wrap around him and was being picked up bridal style. “Welcome home beautiful.” A familiar voice spoke. It took Matt a bit to process it all because of how tired he was, but when he realised that he was in Peter’s arms Matt immediately melted and made himself a bit more comfortable. Matt mumbled a hello, and he could feel the smile on Peter’s face as he walked them to the couch. “Hello my devil baby!!!” Wade greeted from his position in one of the arm chairs. Matt greeted him back while Peter placed him on the couch.

“Ok my devil baby,” Wade said, while clapping his hands together, “Do you want your surprise now or after a cat nap?”

“So it’s a surprise now?” Matt questioned, groggily sitting up.

“Well it’s more of like a question or an offer umm maybe a proposal.” Peter chimed in slightly rambling, earning a raised eyebrow from Matt giving him a bit of a confused puppy look. “Well, what is it?” Most of his tiredness has left his body now replace by curiousness. Peter and Wade shared a look, before Wade picked up a smallish bag from beside the chair he was sitting in. Wade got up from the arm chair and walked the short distance to where Matt was and placed the bag in his hands. Wade kissed Matt’s temple and quietly said, “I hope you accept.” Before going back to his seat. Matt was genuinely confused at this point, Wade was being quiet and gentle, and usually the only times he is both of those things at the same time is during aftercare, or if Peter or Matt got a very serious injury.

Matt cautiously opened the bag and carefully picked up the item. It took Matt a second to figure out what it was, but as soon as his fingers ran over the clip, his jaw dropped in shock. Peter and Wade looked at him hopefully as Matt realised that what he was holding was in fact a collar. Before saying anything Matt inspected it some more, he ran his hand along the sturdy yet soft fabric, his hand went over some very familiar bumps and did a double take. Braille. Matt immediately started to smile making the other two light up. There were two words written in braille one on either side of the collar on the left was ‘Wade’s’ and on the right was ‘Peter’s’.

“Yes.” Was the only word that came out of his mouth before Matt was getting squashed by Wade in a very awkwardly angled but lovingly crushing hug. “See my baby boy!! I knew our devil baby would say yessssss!!!” Wade said excitedly, nuzzling his nose into the nook of Matt’s neck. “Wade… can’t… breathe…” Matt said patting Wade’s arm, said mercenary scrambled off of him immediately. “Look what you did Wade, your going to kill him before he can even put the collar on.” Peter said shaking his head moving to sit on the other side of Matt.

“Would you like me to describe it to you.” Peter said softly, wrapping his arms around Matt and holding his hands. Wade placed his head in Matt’s lap as he nodded and leaned back into Peter.

“Well you already know it has braille on it because we really wanted for it to be yours.” Peter began in that soft voice that could always make Matt melt. “You can thank me for that because it was my idea, I also know a guy who know a guy who knows a guy that runs an amazing collar shop where you can get stuff like braille imprinted on the collar because most collar shops don’t do that.” Wade butted in. “Yes thank you Wade.”

“What else?” Matt asked sweetly. “Well the fabric is all red and the red is dark enough that it will go with your suit.” Peter said as he guided Matt’s hand across the material. “Yes yes yes yes. We also quadruple checked that the material wouldn’t suffocate or make you itchy in anyway shape or form.” Wade stated sounding very proud of that fact. Matt just couldn’t believe this, they went to so much trouble just for him, but it also made him think that they wanted something in return.

It must have shown on his face since seconds later Wade’s sitting up turning towards Matt and cupping his face gently. “Hey cupcake what’s wrong? Is this to much to soon? We can take a step back if it’s not what you want right now, we aren’t gonna judge if that’s the case.” Wade worriedly spoke. Out of him and Peter, Wade was definitely the most worried about this. “No it’s not that it’s just, you don’t want anything out of this from me?”

“What!? No. Matt we are doing this because we love you. We would never force you to do something you weren’t comfortable with.” Peter soothed him. Peter and Wade both new that this was coming from the trauma Electra caused, she did quite a few numbers on him. She is the reason Matt has collar scars on his neck the reason he needs constant reassurance in a relationship the reason he is terrified of asking anything from his lover/s.

The entire time Peter spoke Matt listened to his heartbeat and it only told him that Peter was telling the truth. Matt snuggled back down and asked Peter to continue. Peter and Wade shared another look but they both dropped the matter for the time being. Peter moved Matt’s left hand to the left clip. “This clip is black with two katanas on it in an x for Wade.” Peter then moved Matt’s right hand to the right clip. “And then the right clip is blue with a spider on it for me. And that’s it.”

Matt felt like crying, he was so happy. He also hadn’t failed to notice that Peter had subtly set his hands in a way that he could put the collar on. He carefully raised his hands making Peter let go, and gently clipped the collar around his neck. It felt nice, really soft, he felt reassured. Matt had a feeling he would get into a habit of running his fingers over the braille. But he didn’t get much more time to think before Wade started to pepper him with kisses making Matt giggle.

“Ok you two, remember Wade, Matt badly needs to go to sleep.” Wade and Matt both looked sad that Matt had to go to sleep, but since being reminded, Matt felt like he could quite literally pass out. Wade picked Matt up and took him to their bed. Matt sighed as soon as he was placed on the bed and snuggled close to Wade. Peter soon joined them pulling the blankets over them and then wrapping his arms around Matt’s waist. Matt was almost asleep when he realised something.

“What about the cookies??”

Wade, whispering : My time has finally come.

Wade : How is spring not everyone’s favorite season? The trees are PINK, guys!

Noise.

Deafening noise.

That's the last thing Matthew Murdock remembers. A sharp piercing noise that his heightened hearing had no problem picking up. It was deafening.

Matt remembers covering his ears, but it did nothing to alleviate the pressure building in his ear drums. His cowl feeling all too tight.

The ground was hard and cold, providing no comfort. When did he end up on the ground? Did he fall? Was he already on it?

The pressure lessens, as does the noise, now just a faint ringing in his ears. Matt can finally hear his surroundings again. Sirens are blaring somewhere in the distance.

Breathing in the air is heavier. The taste of chemicals is heavy on Matt's tongue. New York's air has never been this bad, Hell's Kitchen's air has never been this bad.

Something's wrong.

Matt jumps to his feet only to fall forward, bracing himself on a brick wall, his legs feel weak, and the ground unstable.

All of his senses are screaming at him. Everything is wrong. It feels wrong, smells wrong, and tastes wrong.

Where the hell am I?

Think, what happened…

As Matt tries to recall the events that lead up to the horrible noise and ending up here, he draws a blank. The memories aren't fuzzy, they aren't fractured. They aren't there. Whatever happened, however Matt ended up here, where ever here is, he can't remember.

But that's okay. Of course it's okay, he's Matthew Murdock, the Devil of Hell's Kitchen's, the Daredevil.

Breathing deeply, Matt focuses on his surroundings. The metallic scent of blood assaults his senses. Using one arm to keep himself standing, Matt uses his thumb to wipe away his blood. Broken nose, great.

By the way sounds echo and the stench of trash, Matt must be in an alley. The brick wall under his gloves is ruff. The comforting pressure of his cowl rests over his head, no longer feeling too tight.

So he's suited up, depending on where he is right now that could either be a good thing or seriously detrimental to figuring out where he is and what happened.

Other than the fading pain in his head and his broken nose, he doesn't seem to be too injured. And the pain in his head is hopefully just from that noise and not a concussion.

I need a plan.

Step 1: Find out where I am.

Step 2: Get home.

….Perhaps he does have a concussion. That's fine, nothing Matt hasn't handled before.

Matt pushes away from the wall, staggering slightly as he finds the fire escape. From the rooftops it will be easier to survey his surroundings and listen in on conversations below to get an idea of where he is so that he can make it back to Hell’s Kitchen, and his apartment.

Making his way up to the roof of what seems to be an abandoned six-story apartment complex without much trouble, Matt perches on the ledge, straining his ears to pick up on the sounds surroundings him. Sounds should carry easier up here than down in the alleyway, the smaller space making it harder to distinguish the direction sounds come from as they bounce off of walls and muddle together.

Up on the roof top, sounds are clearer. And they seem to be the only thing clearer. Somehow the stench of chemicals in the air seems worse than down in the alleyway.

Along with the chemical scent is the smell of rain, a warning to those unfortunate enough to find themself out and about to find shelter from the coming storm.

But before Matt can even begin searching for a suitable place to seek refuge from the approaching storm, a familiar sound causes him to jump into action.

A cry for help.

I'm literally counting down until @green-with-envy-phandom-event starts, so here's the last lineart I drew for it which really just represents how team yellow is going to be crowned champions this year :-)

See, people who kidnapped Spider-man typically ran up against a problem, eventually- how do you keep him down?

The thing that far too many people know about Spider-man is that he heals fast. Like, really fast. Videos of him taking hits that kill a normal person are everywhere on the internet. Even when he gets hurt, hurt bad, he’s back in the suit within a week. He can take a hit and he can hit back. His well-documented super-strength quickly rends most restraints to shattered pieces. So how do you keep him off his game? How do you keep him?

There’s one thing that everyone needs- mutant, enhanced, basic bitch human- and that’s sleep.

Every night at a hotel, team red would put on a movie to catch Carmen up on everything her childhood left out

There’s a fun game that team red like to play called suit roulette were they each traded suits for a week and have to fight the others villains.

Spider-Man’s villains are all highly concerned and keep asking if he’s ok cause Matt just isn’t talking at all and they are used to banter

Peter has managed to make friends with a bunch of Deadpool’s villains after chatting with them and promising not to kill them if they stopped being ‘bad guys’ because it’s ‘just not cool anymore’

And Daredevils villains are just all ducking confused at why the hell he’s not even fighting back (Wade is literally just standing there letting them stab and shoot him whilst chatting about his life- he’s using them as free therapy)
