This story was written by the super talented and amazing @utterimmolation

"A Chance at Redemption."

The first thing Horus noticed was the quiet.

The Warp whispered, barked, *screamed* to him constantly these days. It was harder to hear himself anymore. The Gods told him secrets and truths, but his own thoughts became quieter and heavier. He was so much more nowadays, but there was a tiny gasp buried deep within that dared to murmur that he had only diminished.

He's gotten used to pushing that doubt away. The Gods assure him of the righteousness of his path, his legacy, his drive to see the False Emperor dashed from his ostentatious chair.

But here, on one of Etheria's twelve moons, standing across from his lone sister, his head is shockingly, disconcertingly ~~mercifully ~~, *quiet*.

The siblings study each other in silence for several moments. This is one of the least developed moons of the dozen, which is no doubt why Adora had chosen it. He briefly wonders if she had rigged it to blow or perhaps intends to repay him and his Sons in kind for Istvaan but dropping nuclear armaments from orbit but dismisses the idea. Adora can be surprisingly ruthless, but she would not dare risk damage to the moons and especially not Etheria and its people.

It is a character trait that makes her predictable but dangerous, much like Vulkan: their love of mortals makes them easy to maneuver, but strikes against them must be fast, hard and final, lest they rise again with greater and overwelming fury and unfortunately, that last part has proven remarkably difficult to overcome.

"You know why I am here," he finally breaks the silence.

Adora's mouth twists. "I do," she acknowledges.

"And?"

Adora takes a half step forward, her honor guard shadowing her every twitch, like children hiding behind their mother's skirts, unwilling to let her be parted from them. He hears Abaddon scoff quietly, his First Captain disgusted at the weakness he perceives.

Horus sees what it truly is. Love, beyond reason or doubt, beyond sense. The Sons of She-Ra love her, with such intensity that to lose her risks triggering a fury to rival that of Angron himself. Of course, perhaps that is not so surprising. The Slave of Nuceria hated so much only because he had once loved so fiercely and completely that its loss had stripped him of all humanity and rendered him little more than a beast.

"You come to me with a proposition. Let me give one instead: turn away from your Rebellion. Disavow the Chaos Gods. Disavow the Emperor. Disavow the butchers and sadists and monsters you've aligned yourself with. And stay here."

Horus blinks, surprised beside himself. An appeal to him hadn't been unexpected. An opportunity to be granted asylum had. "You would welcome me to Etheria?"

"You would have to pay penance. To even *begin* to pay for the crimes you've committed, the atrocities you've done... would take millenia. But you would be free and protected from both the Warp and the Emperor. I would stand with you. You could find redemption. Could help me build a universe of connectivity, communication...love. You could find peace." The Princess of Power slowly extended her hand. "You need only ask."

The voice that has been silenced and stifled for so long under the burning Gaze of Chaos is screaming at him now, louder than it's ever been. He is abruptly aware, for the first time in weeks, how grimy and heavy his armor feels, how hungry and thirsty and tired he feels. He...he cannot remember the last time he ate. Slept.

He looks past his sister, up at the distant glow of Etheria, and remembers the peace of the world. The smiles of children. The brotherhood of Space Marines, learning, training...living. He remembers being...happy.

He looks at his sister's hand, and his soul screams at him to take it.

He swings Worldbreaker instead.

It meets her golden shield in an explosion of rainbow Warp energy, and both Primarchs are pushed back several feet. Their respective sons stumble, and many fall.

Horus looks at her and sees only sadness and pity, and he feels a hate to rival that which he feels for his very Father.

Abaddon must give the order, as the Word Bearer ships and that of Etheria's fleet begin to fire at each other. Adora has her sword now and she's coming towards him but he ~~doesn't want to fight her~~ can't waste time now, not when the Emperor's gaze searches for him and Ultramar's fleets grow closer to reinforcing Terra.

He presses the teleporter on his belt and slams back into his quarters on the *Vengeful Spirit* only to fall to his knees as the protective aura of Etheria's territory disappears and the God's Gazes return to him with renewed focus and force. They see his doubts, his fears and they sooth him even as they shred at him for his impudence.

He does not know how long he kneels in his quarters, body, mind and soul wracked by agony. He only knows his fury is incandescent when a Son arrives to inform him the World Bearer fleet has been defeated and they are in-route to Mars. He dashes the Marine and two dozen serfs against the walls before the rages abates itself even slightly, and as he makes his way ti the bridge he promises himself this:

When the Emperor lies dead at his feet, he will return, with all of his forces, and lay waste to Etheria, until its seas run red, it's sky turns black and Adora's wife is nothing more than a new carpet before his bed.

More She-ra 40k ideas:

Catra is the perfect example of a Felinid, not anime cat girl but not full furry she's a perfect example of what I think a felinid would look/act like. Human reasoning and strategy with feline agility and physical attributes.

Catra would also take on a few Felinids recruited from either a local gaurd regiment and/or most recently conquered planet and train them to be Adora's and her own person bodyguards. Hidden in the shadows like assassins ready to flay whatever get past Adora's honour gaurd.

Entrapta would annoy, argue, and fight the Mechanicus so much that they stopped coming to help Adora's Legion and won't train their tech marines anymore. Entrapta is then stuck doing repairs(and upgrades when she wants) while also trying to teach the tech-marines. This leads to Adora's legion, the best equipped legion despite having no direct ties to the Mechanicus.

The Librarians of Adora's legion instead of being trained by magnus and the Thousand sons are instead trained by Glimmer or return to Etheria to be trained in the ways of Etherian magic. Thus leading to a very different philosophy and approach to the warp.

More ideas/stories/scenarios to come! 😊

Adora meeting the Emperor of Mankind(aka her "father")

Adora stood steadfast upon the grassy hill. To her back, the fighting force of Brightmoon's elite gaurd stood ready. To her side stood her friends the Princesses of Etheria along with master archer Bow and swashbuckler extraordinaire Seahawk. Upon her arm was her beloved, the feirce and formidable Catra.

They all studied what hung in the Etherian sky before them. It was what caused the call to action, what brought the entirety of the plantes' defences to this spot. A fleet of well equipped battle starships.

They hovered in Etheria's outer atmosphere. They had appeared two days ago. At first, they were specks on the horizon, but as they drew nearer, the Alliance of Princesses grew concerned. Entrapta and Hordak had engineered an "orbital scanner" to make out what Etheria was dealing with.

When they finally got a scan, a war council was called at once. Glimmer decided to ready her kingdom's forces and urged a preemptive strike. Adora quelled this idea at first but did ultimately decide to amass the armies. But they would only retaliate, not strike first. There was no way of knowing the newcomers' intentions. They could be friendly.

Adora thought back on her optimistic perspective. The imposing nature of these starships didn't exactly breed comfort for her.

She looked back on her troops, all awaiting her command. She then looked to her friends, who she towered over. It had been some time since the defeat of Horde Prime and the restoration of peace on Etheria.

In that time, Adora had begun to grow, and she grew taller, stronger. She found her form slowly evolving into a perfect mix of her shera form and her more casual Adora form.

Catra only came up to her waist, if that. Adora had begun to curse her matured size, but ultimately, right now, in the face of a probable invasion, she was thankful for it.

Adora's attention snapped back as bow called out a smaller ship desending from the sky.

It was an ornate ship, well crafted, and Entrapta swooned as it approached. It landed ceremonially a fair distance from adora and the front line. Glimmer gave the order to ready an attack. Adora held up her hand, belaying the order.

"Not Yet." She scolded her friend. " Let's see who or what we're dealing with first."

Glimmer pouted but complied, resending her order. Her eagerness to end a conflict fast and without considering the repercussions had burned her before.

A ramp descended from the ship. Out of the bowels of this magnificent beast marched two parallel lines of golden armoured soldiers, each one twice the height of any Etheiran. There were twelve warriors in total, each equipped with an oddly shaped spear.

Then He exited the ship.

A mountain of a man, dressed head to toe in the finest most meticulously detailed armour anyone had ever seen. Only his head was bare of any armour. His raven hair flowed like a dark river in the cool breeze. His face was structured like a statue. Every detail looked unreal. His eyes at first glowed with golden light but then softened as he approached.

Brilliant sapphire eyes met Adora's own. They looked familiar.

"Who are you? And what do you want?" Adora spoke plainly. She would not be disarmed by this stranger's show of strength.

The stranger did not speak for several minutes. He took in his surroundings, his assessed his potential advisories, and he gazed upon his...

"I am The Emperor of Mankind. And I am here to reunite with one I lost long ago."

He stared at Adora for an uncomfortably long moment.

"And who exactly are you looking for?" Glimmer broke the silence.

The Emperor, not even glancing at the small queen, answered. "I have travelled across the stars seeking that which was stolen from me. My daughter."

A quiet air conquered the space. It was interpreted by Adora

"Whatwasthatnow?"

The Emperor smirked. "I have come for you. My daughter. To reunite and bring you with me on my grand crusade to reunite all of our people. To save ourselves and create a new dawn for galaxy. One of peace and hope. Not unlike what you have accomplished here." He spread out his hands gesturing to the world around them.

All of Etheria stood confused. This was not what any of them were expecting. Adora was speechless. Her mind tumbled and turned at the revelation before her.

"Father?" Adora breathed to herself. "No." She said bluntly. Much to the Emperor's and everyone elses surprise.

The Emperor did not miss a beat. "I know how uncertain you must feel, but come let me show you." He extended a hand and approached Adora.

But before he got more than a few steps closer, Catra put herself between her dear wife and this giant golden lunatic. She snarled and hissed, drawing her claws, tensing her muscles for a leap.

At the sudden threat, the golden solders all levelled their spears at Catra. In turn, the soldiers of bright moon readied their glaves, the Princesses each summoned up their elemental powers. It would be a massacre.

But then the Emperor held aloft his hand and halted the shedding of unnecessary blood. His custodians returned to a calmer state and lowered their weapons. He did this all while keeping his true attention on Adora.

"I will not fight you, daughter. That is not why I came."

Adora mirrored his motion to calm her friends.

The Emperor then shifted his gaze down to the felinid warrior who enterposed herself between the two of them.

"I came to broker peace and, in all honesty, to ask for your aid." his un blinking eyes never left catra despite still only addressing Adora. "I seek no ill will."

Adora's hand gently rested on Catra's shoulder, causing her to break her staring contest with the golden god. She looked up to her wife. No words were exchanged as Adora's hand raised to cup Catra's cheek. Catra reluctantly nodded, and Adora returned the gesture certain.

Catra stepped aside, but her cold killing gaze never left the exposed head of the Emperor.

Adora stepped forward. "Let's say I believe you. Let's say you really are my father. That doesn't mean I should trust you. Not yet, at least. You gave me up. You weren't there when i needed you. And now that I've found my own way. Made my own family. You come and ask something of me?"

Adora's expression hardened, "If you really are my father, why now? And more importantly, why the Battlion? You say you came looking for me to broker peace. But you come with soldiers and tanks? Not exactly the reunion a daughter would hope for."

The Emperor chose his next words carefully. "My daughter. Adora. These guns, these weapons, they are not meant for you or your people." He gestured to the armada, "The road to find you was treacherous. Among the stars, there are very few safe havens and many enemies."

"These weapons, like your own," he gestured to Adora's allies, "are for protection and justice. To free the oppressed and safeguard the weak. No more blood need be spilt than is nessasary."

Adoras' face slackened a bit, but the Emperor knew he had to show her first hand his vision.

He offered his hand once more, "Let me show you, please." His face was pleading.

Adora looked back a final time at her friends, each of them showing their disapproval and fear for her safety. She looked now to Catra, who stood ready should anything unexpected happen. Adora could practically see Catra daring the Emperor to give her an excuse.

Adora's eyes returned to the large outstretched palm, then to his blue eyes that she matched the ones she saw every morning in the mirror.

She took his hand like she was tearing off a bandage.

The visions came fast. Adora saw worlds in chains and the innocent slaughtered. She saw worlds on the brink of collapse, but then she was shown these same worlds transformed. Green pastures littered with cattle. Rebuilt thriving cities. Smiling children and hopeful parents.

The Emperor knew what to show Adora. He had specifically chosen the worlds that openly surrendered without much of a fuss. Worlds where diplomacy outweighed the wars that would have waged.

He had elected worlds brought to compliance by Sanguinius, Horus, Fulgrim, and Guilliman. He avoided the pitiful shrine worlds of Lorgar or the fear infested steets that Curze would leave in his wake. He also made desperately sure Adora never knew of the worlds drowned by Angron in their own blood.

He showed Adora the efficient system of Ultramar, the peace of Prospero, and finally, the jewel of the Imperium, Great Terra.

Then he showed her... the incident. Adora received flashes of the desert woman screaming, acting eradic. Adora couldn't hear anything, so she watched as the woman ranted and yelled. Eventually, there was a flash of light, and all the children and the woman were gone.

Then he showed her curated peaces of his own memory.

Adora saw herself and her brothers in test tubes. She watched the embrieos grow. She watched as they were all born. Swaddled by a woman wrapped in traditional dessert fashion.

The lab was in shambles, and scorchmarks stained the once muted chrome. It wasn't his fault. She betrayed him. She gave up Adora and her brothers. But he would find them and reunite his family."

Adora let go of her father's hand with a gasp. Tears followed down her face. She looked back up to the Emperor.

"You see now, Adora? I mean you no harm. I'm sorry I could not be there to hold you up. I'm sorry it took so long to find you. But I do want you to know how proud I am of you. You have succeeded where lessers would have failed." He made a grand sweep gesture.

"You brought peace to this world. You healed it. You did what was necessary but never compromised the people you held closest. You chose to save them, and that is all I can ask of you."

Adora now looked to the Emperor with admiration. But she still had a few queries she needed answered. "I have brothers? What are they like? Who was that woman? Why did she do that? Why did you both make us?" She began to cry

Catra was at her side in a moment. "Hey, Adora. It's okay. Im here, breath." Bow and Glimmer were not far behind. Eventually, her whole entourage was with her.

The Emperor to his credit was far more intrigued by his daughters compaions than he initially been. They genuinely cared for her, and she held her position of power out of love and loyalty.

Adora wiped her eyes and steadied herself. She then took on her serious tone and spoke in no uncertain terms.

"I want answers to who that woman was, why she did it, who my brothers are, you get the idea. You will leave Etheria untouched and their government in order. Finally, my friends are coming with me. This is non-negotiable," Cheers and shouts of agreement come from the princesses and others. "We do everything together, and even if I tried to leave without them. Let's just say I wouldn't be able to.

"If I go with you, if I join in your crusade. If I go and help all these people who are hurting. I want three things in return."

The Emperor nodded. 'Finally,' he thought, 'the negotiations.'

The Emperor stayed silent for a long time, considering the wants of his daughter. He looked across at the mutated inhabitants of Etheria. Of the very warp Infested environment they stood in. But he did let Lorgar keep Monarchia.

"Your requests are reasonable. Each shall be granted so long as you forswear your loyalty to me and the crusade. That you will do what is necessary to save the worlds that need you. To bring peace, prosperity, and unity to this galaxy."

"Then I guess I foreswear it."

"Very well. I shall return with your legion in a fortnight," he looked to Adora then to her companions, "Ensure you are all ready by then."

He marched back to his ship, and Adora called one final question to him. "What do you mean 'my legion'?"

The Emperor stopped at the end of the ramp. He look over his shoulder, "I made each of my children a legion to aid them in this crusade. Made from your own genetic code. They are as much sons to you as you are a daughter to me.

Without another word, he casually ascended the ramp fallowed by his golden warriors. Adora and the others were left speechless and confused once more as the ship returned to the heavens.

( First, thank you for reading all the way to the end!!!!

I am super open to criticism, I know I'm not the strongest writer, and I hope I captured enough of each of the characters' personalities. Please let me know hat you think. In either a reblog or comments!!!

I wanted to age up the SPOP crew just a little and progress their individual lives some. Also, yes, I did take some liberties with Adora/She-ra's form .

Finally, I apologise if you feel I misrepresented either property, I love them both so much, but it has been a little bit since I've sat down and watched shera in its entirety. I prob am gonna do that soon, but who knows. Depression a bitch.)

Here is what I think Adora's relationships with each of her brother Primarchs is like...

Horus - so starting strong, I would think Adora would get along really well with Horus. Unfortunately, I believe that is more a testament to Horus' many masks skill. He would know adora values friends and assessing a situation from every angle of a situation while getting advice and others' opinions. I feel Horus would treat her very similar to how he treats Sanguinius or, more likely, Dorn. When it comes to the heresy, I see Horus going to her and promising her that if he wins, his Imperium will become far more tolerant to peaceful xeno races and reinstate the use of psykers, Adora won't buy it. She's heard these ultimatums before.

Sanguinius- I imagine Adora would be decently close to Sanguinius, but definitely not the closest. They are both decently kind, but I feel besides some tiffs and playful banter/jokes, they really aren't that close

Konrad- Adora despises him with all her heart. Ever since they met, adora wanted nothing more to put him down like a rabid dog. Adora fought for someone like Konrad she knew his evil, and she and her sons would not even dare crusade in the same systems as their maniac cousins and the Night haunter

Lion el Johnson- Adora would probably have a similar relationship to him as leman does. Definitely won't say anything against him but won't seek to spend unnecessary time with him.

Guilliman- Adora would like Guilliman, though she would find him boring. She can't argue with his results and definitely wouldn't mind being in the same room or fighting alongside him. Honestly, I can see Guilliman getting annoyed with Adora after a while.

Leman- I totally see them being very close! Honestly, they he might be her favourite brother, at first anyway. They have very similar demeanour, they both prefer to fight to settle an argument, and they both enjoy cracking jokes as much as cracking skulls. I also feel they would be the ones to spar the most, though not with swords. I see them taking quick jabs and headlocking each other. Though, after Prospero burned, Adora would feel truly betrayed for she loved Magnus as well. She could never look at leman the same way again. She won't turn to Horus' side, but now she keeps leman at arm's length.

Mortarion- Another she would hate. Not as much as Konrad, but still. Morty is too bitter, and his unter vitriol towards psykers goes completely against Adora's close ties to magic, and the sorcerers of Etheria would put her in uter opposition to anti-psyker rhetoric.

Magnus- Magnus would definitely be one of the brothers she sees the most. But not due to their closeness. Magnus would be most fascinated with Etheira's understandings of the warp and would most likely have long deep conversations with head sorceress Castaspella (Yes, that is her name live with it) and Queen Glimmer. Adora would side wholeheartedly with Magnus during the council of Nikea. She would rage against her Father's blatant hypocrisy. And she would try to comfort Magnus in the aftermath.

Lorgar- Adora may be put off by Lorgar's fanaticism, but she wouldn't outright hate him. Just be kinda uneasy around him. She would feel pity for what happened on Monarchia but not truly grasp it. She would be more upset at her father than she would weep for Lorgar

The Twins - I honestly think these two just don't interact much. Adora is a very straightforward and most times brash. Alpharius/Omegon just wages war and behaves so diametrically opposed to how Adora and her crew do those things. Honestly, their nature might remind Adora of Double Trouble and the manipulations of Shadow Weaver.

Corvus- Another I think they would get along fine, but I feel Corvus would deem Adora a little too optimistic. (To be fair, I don't know enough about Corvus to make a statement on this, sorry 🥺)

Dorn- utter ambivalence. She literally has no real opinion on Dorn. Besides, he is good at what he does, and his dry sarcasm goes right over her head.

Perturabo- She would start by seeing Purty as a victim of their father's plan. they wouldn't really interact much, I think. Adora is not a crafter. She's a fighter, a leader, a symbol of unity. She is quite good at making battle plans, but she isn't really a super tactical genius or anything. Eventually, she'd see perty as the spiteful man-child who she just pities.

Angron- She fears him. Maybe if they had met before the nails, it would be a different story. But I could also see an interesting dynamic instead. Adora's powers encompasses the ability to not only heal but restore. She restored life to the Fright Zone and purged Horde Primes' concensus. She brought Catra back to life. So, while I don't think she could heal Angron but I bet she could sooth his pain. Give him relief. It might then cause a very toxic codependency, but I'm okay with that. Cause tragic grimdark.

Vulkan- Another of her favourite brothers, his kindness, and humanity would truly link them. Joking with one another and enjoying life! Their love of their sons. Truly, I think they will get along with each other swimmingly.

Fulgrim- Fulgrim is too fancy for Adora. Adora is not a formal or dressy person. She doesn't really get art. She does value combat and fighting, but she was taught to fight dirty. She isn't one for fancy words. Honestly, Fulgrim's search for perfection and flowery words would remind Adora too much of Horde Prime, in my opinion. I feel a perfect example of this is the Princess Prom episode.

Ferrus Manus- eh, I think this relationship is the same as dorn. They don't really have a lot in common from how I see it.

Jagathai- I feel they would get along decently, but same as Corus, I don't know enough about the Khan to really even make an educated guess.

I'm open to any opinions or your takes! I wanna see if people agree or, at the very least, have their own perspectives!!!

Okay time to delve deeper into my madness

So here is my theory and supporting evidence/inferences

Adora/She-ra is one of the lost primarchs!

Okay so as I previously established, the portal technology deals both with time and space.

This is important for later, but for now, it means that time when Etheria is trapped in "Despondos" (The in-between reality and non reality) moves very different than realspace.

So when Hordak first slips through reality. I imagine this is during either the age of strife or at the tail end of the dark age of technology(DAOT).

Im guessing this because Horde Prime makes mention how he fought the First Ones, and their understanding of mixing magic and tech was challenging for him to combat. Which then makes sense with DAOT humans mixing Warpcraft and Tecnology.

Now I'm more inclined to believe Horde Prime with Hordak began their conquest during the age of strife because of another peice in this twisted puzzle.

Mara. The og shera and the one that trapped Etheria in Despondos.

Now Mara does this because she found out all the terraforming her and her people were doing was covertly making Etheria into a mass warp weapon/engine.

For those that don't know, Etheria is particularly conductive of magic, which the locals learned to harness in their own ways. All pulling and manipulating the same well of magic to perform different tasks and spells. Alot like how the warp is channelled and manipulated to serve the Psykers' needs.

Now, the first ones/DAOT humans realised Etheria's highly "warp sensitive" nature and realised they could utilise this. So they colonised. They integrated themselves into the world.

We see this in the "ghosts" of the one town which we're actually holograms of the first one colonisers.

But they didn't just want to study that, oh no. They do as humans often do and want to weaponise it. So, they begin crafting and terraforming the planet. They make the elemental runestones that the Princesses utilise to obtain their certain powers.

That is only the secondary function of the rune stones. The main function we find out in season four and five is that they are all focal points to channel their related magics through and supercharge the weapeapon. Now, the weapon, as it turns out, is the planet itself. The weirder of the sword of protection should've then been able to target and trigger the weapon to fire along with the ability to move it around.

To me sounds alot like a necron world engine or a large scale weaponised forge world.

Mara wasn't really having this. And I believe when Mara finds out why they built this "weapon" and crashes the ship is when the cybernetic revolt was happening. I mean look at light hope.

Light Hope is a sentient AI who fell in love with Mara and so disobeyed her programming, but at the point where we find out Mara was hiding Etheria to protect the universe we see light hope fighting against herself to help Mara.

So we have my rough timeline. "How does this all factor into Adora is a Primarch?" Great question! Now, we actually get to my biggest evidence.

So we learn that when Hordak kinda secsessfully opens a portal back to realspace a baby adora comes through causing the portal to break from the strain.

It's explicitly said and shown that Hordak himself never goes through the portal. Never reaches through or goes but returns. No. He opens the portal and Adora COMES THROUGH.

Adora was an infant, so it wasn't like a toddler wandering around and stumbling through. No, she was swaddled and everything. No parent reached through or came in and dropped her off.

Just a little swaddled baby adora just pops out of the portal and it collapses.

That's the objective cannon facts of the show. Then, as it turns out, despite perfectly replicating his experiments over and over, he couldn't reopen the portal the same way. So, one thing I would wonder besides (plot) would be how he got it to work. Then I realised he had to have help from the other side.

Enter Erda. When she scatters all 20 of the baby primarchs. She does so by casting them into the warp and letting the metaphysical winds take them where ever. So this is where I dawned my first theory hat.

What if Hordak's portal only worked because of Erda, at the same time, opening a rift and yeeting her children through. Thud Adora, the token female primarch, ends up coming through a portal to a place where she'll be safe from her father. Thus, when she enters Etheria, the warp rift aiding Hordak's portal closes due to its duty being complete.

Part 2/?

Okay, so also, one of the things that truly got me into AU crafting and Warhammer40k in general is my own wild head cannon. U wanna hear it? Of course you do. Okay, here is something I totally believe is cannon and u can prove to me otherwise.

She-ra and the Princesses of Power takes place in the WH40k Universe!!!!!

Okay, so allow me to elaborate.

So first off, I was a Shera fan BEFORE I was a warhammer fan, but after I really started to get into warhammer, something clicked.

I was painting some of my first minis when, for background noise, I decided to throw Shera on for the umpteenth time. Then I started to notice it.

Shera is a Scifi x Fantasy series, so there is already a precedent for the two to flow well together. But then u start getting into the workings of Etheria's Archeo-tech.

So let's start with who settled Etheria. We see through holographic projections/recordings along with our two confirmed First Ones in the series (Adora and Mara) that First ones were clearly human or close to humans.

Suspending a little disbelief, and it's not too far a jump to claim that the First Ones were humans from the dark age of technology. Further proof is in the show how powerful and advanced First Ones' tec is! Also, it is extremely valuable as only two to three people can work/manipulate it properly. (Two of those three are hyper intelligent geniuses)

Let's move on to one of my bigger points, the portals.

During season three, Entrapta and Hordac work to get her to retrofit Hordac's tech with First One's tech. This taps into the planetary magic and the integrated (for lack of an in universe term) warp engine. Unfortunately the portal becomes unstable and fucks with time and reality.

Eventually, after removing the "key" from the portal, the planet returns to realspace.

Oh did I forget to mention that up until that point the entire planet and it's moons we're in a nebulous in-between dimension that could only be accessed by a cataclysmic event on the inside or a freak anomaly from the outside.

This then lends credence to my main argument/ claim Adora, She-ra, Princess of Power and guardian of Etheria is a primarch!

Part 1 of ?

Eventually, after removing the "key" from the portal, the planet returns to realspace.

Oh did I forget to mention that up until that point the entire planet and it's moons we're in a nebulous in-between dimension that could only be accessed by a cataclysmic event on the inside or a freak anomaly from the outside.

This then lends credence to my main argument/ claim Adora, She-ra, Princess of Power and guardian of Etheria is a primarch!

Maybe I’m just too late to realize, but Jason Grace (PJO) and Adora (She-Ra) are actually really alike. They have similar backstories, personality traits and goals! Maybe someone have already written this, and done an analysis on them, but here is mine!!!!

Jason and Adora:

Both of them are blonde individuals who were taken in and raised in the military since they were small, are their mother figure’s (Hera, Shadow Weaver) favorite child, and are purely seen by their leadership skills. At the beginning of the story, both of them were kidnapped by the “enemy” (who they learn are actually good guys) and joined forces with them to save the world from evil (at one point or another in the story, both of them were forced to fight their previous allies - fighting Romans/soldiers from Camp Jupiter, The Horde).

There are a lot of expectations and pressure on them, since both of them are seen as “important” and “dutiful” people by their position in society (Jason being Jupiter’s son, and Adora being She-Ra). They’re constantly trying their best to not let their friends down, constantly trying to act and be like how everyone wants them to be (a warrior/hero/leader/etc.), and has intentionally tried to sacrifice themselves, but to no avail (both of them were stopped by a brown-haired “friend” of theirs - Leo, Catra).

Both of them are also connected to magical horses, each have a magical weapon, and each have a childhood friend that was seen for a while as the “enemy” by their allies (Reyna and Catra). As well as, both of them likes to have a sense of purpose, has felt out of place with their new allies, has a hero complex, and feels like they alone are responsible for the well-being of others (Jason, due to the promise to look after the lesser gods, and Adora, due to the abuse of Shadow Weaver).

I didn’t mean to write this much, but it’s insane how similar they actually are!

Should I add something???

I’ve finally (pretty much) finished my She-Ra dress!

It’s taken me 3 weeks, partially because of personal reasons, but I’ve finally got it finished!!

I’ve Finally (pretty Much) Finished My She-Ra Dress!

It’s not perfect and there are some minor errors that are already bugging me but I’m proud of myself for making it a reality🙂.

I’ve Finally (pretty Much) Finished My She-Ra Dress!

(Forgive me for the no-makeup face, but I really didn’t have the energy yesterday and my skin was being kind to me for once, and it’s time I stopped feeling ashamed of my spots and what my face naturally looks like.)

To attach the cape I decided to use gold ribbon rather than sewing it on, as I wanted to have an amount of freedom as to getting the dress on.

I did make a few changes design wise, although most of them were for the logistics of wearability, since I’ve made it using cheaper materials, and because we’ve all come across that one cosplay that is NOT convention-safe or practical in its original form.

Hopefully I’ll be able to take nicer photos of it in a few days ☺️.

It’s happening ✨

It’s Happening ✨

So far I’ve almost finished the base dress which I will then sew the gold sections onto.

Before I do that, I am going to take the dress in at the waist a little more (as it is slightly too big (my mum thinks it’s fine but I hate things hanging loosely around my waist)).

I’ll also make the cape before I do the gold (so I don’t have to change thread 😅).

For fabric I ended up going with cheap-and-cheerful economy satin. It’s a little shinier than I wanted, but crepe-back satin is £7.99 a metre (x115cm) and this stuff is £2.99 a metre (x150cm), which I think explains it.

I could have also turned the fabric inside out to use the dulled side, but I wanted the shine for the gold and didn’t really want shiny stuff on the inside next to my skin😖.

For the back I only opened it up to the braline, because I don’t hate myself that much and quite frankly I can’t go braless.

I’ve also been taking some footage of the making of this dress, so that I can make myself a little “the making of” video 🥰.

Adora’s Future Ball Dress

Adora’s Future Ball Dress

I’ve decided that one of my next sewing projects will be this dress.

Adora’s Future Ball Dress

Whether this is a good idea or not, only time will tell.

However, I was wondering if any other cosplayers or sewers had any advice as to what fabric would be best.

Right now I’m thinking crepe-back satin as it has a gentle shine, a nice texturised finish and would look right for the gold sections.

However, it also has a one-way stretch to it, which I think could be helpful in a dress like this, but having worked with it a couple of times now I know that it’s a little bit volatile 😰.

There’s also the matter of needing a lining in order to get the sweetheart neckline.

I also plan on only making the back open down to the braline as I want to have as much comfort in this as possible.

Anyway this might sound just like ramblings and thoughts but I was wondering if anyone had any fabric ideas or thoughts ✨

Season 5 - Adora’s Sexuality Arc

So forgive me if other people have already done this to death (I’ve been meaning to write this for a couple of days but iron deficiency has left me exhausted), but I just wanted to talk about the way in which season 5 handled Adora’s sexuality.

The way in which it was handled was both so subtle and so explicit at the same time and I’ve never seen something handled in such a mature, natural fashion.

From just the small glimpse of their world we’re given, homophobia doesn’t appear to be a thing that exists. However this doesn’t mean that it’s all clear-sailing for any of them when it comes to sexuality.

In Adora’s case, she was raised in an environment in which she was expected to excel and lead, without any real regard for her own wants and desires.

Season 5 - Adora’s Sexuality Arc

Needless to say, it didn’t set her up with the best support system. Despite Shadow Weaver essentially being her mother, it doesn’t seem likely that even Adora could have gone to her about anything that might have been going on in her head.

Even upon leaving the Horde, Adora’s emotional needs still aren’t met. Despite building herself a good support system (or rather the support system built itself around her), she still struggles to act selfishly in any situation and no one around her can empathise fully with what she’s been through.

Even into season 5, Adora describes herself as a “punch your feelings out” kind of person.

Season 5 - Adora’s Sexuality Arc

Which indicates that she doesn’t really talk about her problems and instead chooses to get on with what she believes she needs to do.

To me, this gives the impression that Adora had never really thought about her sexuality before and had never been able to think about what, or who, she wants. (Even if some of the looks she gave girls throughout the series tell a story of their own!)

Central to the season was Adora’s inconsistency with her ability to become She-Ra. At first, it might have seemed that She-Ra would come to her when she really needed her, but quite quickly throughout the season this is put into uncertainty.

However, there is one variable that is usually present when she is able to transform into She-Ra; Catra.

Unsurprising? Yes.

Season 5 - Adora’s Sexuality Arc

The first time she was able to transform again, it was out of her need to protect Catra. And, in many ways, this was her first real selfish move. After all, many Etherians really wouldn’t be too bothered if Catra made it out alive, given what she’s done in the past.

Even Bow and Glimmer, who trust Adora, probably struggled to understand why she cares so much for Catra, despite everything she’s done to them. That is until they see her holding her.

Season 5 - Adora’s Sexuality Arc

I feel like this is when it began to click for both Bow and Glimmer. That Catra is Adora’s sense of stability, and that she holds an important place in her heart.

The entire season, Adora is constantly asked what she wants, and she’s never able to give a complete answer. It’s always “I need to do this.”, never “I want to do this.”.

For a while with Catra back in her life, her abilities as She-Ra return, but Shadow Weaver is constantly there to stick an unwanted spanner in the works.

Whatever progress Adora might have made in figuring out her feelings towards Catra begin sliding backwards as Shadow Weavers words sink in. Even if she doesn’t trust Shadow Weaver, her word is still something she grew up on, and for her mother figure to tell her she’s confused, it certainly adds to her feelings of self-doubt.

It is clear by this point that Catra already knows how she feels about Adora (even if she might not know how to process it) and so this separation in understanding further expands the rift between the two of them, which leads in turn to She-Ra drifting further and further away.

During her struggle, we see Mara tell Adora that she’s also deserving of love and that she shouldn’t self sacrifice so much.

But even that doesn’t truly reach her in the way it needs to.

It isn’t until Catra’s confession that we get to see Adora finally allow herself something.

Season 5 - Adora’s Sexuality Arc

The kiss between them wasn’t just magical because of the love behind it, but also because it displays the moment that Adora accepts her own wants and needs. And it’s through that level of love and self-understanding that She-Ra returns.

Season 5 - Adora’s Sexuality Arc

This scene shows a different kind of confidence than has previously been seen in earlier seasons. Whereas before her confidence as She-Ra seemed a lot to do with her physical strength, this confidence seems to come from within.

From self-content.

And for someone like Adora, who always seems to need to be doing something for a greater cause, her calmness at the end of the war is a perfect conclusion to her self-acceptance.

Season 5 - Adora’s Sexuality Arc

And then, at the end, she has Catra, and she’s not ashamed by people knowing. She finally allows herself to be selfish and in love.

(Sorry if this makes no sense, it’s really late and I should be asleep 😴 but I just thought that the series handled this really beautifully.)
