i watched a video essay baout midori today, saw the artstyle of the work its based on (shoujo tsubaki) and was reminded of fanart i saw a while back for lychee light club. i read the whole thing just now and theres a special thanks to suehiro maruo, the artist of shoujo tsubaki at the end. ive had the most fulfilling experience seeing these works of amazing art come full circle.
also, i really loved lychee light club. bit weird that theyre so young and the amounts of explicit content and gore, but the manga was a banger. artstyle, story, everything worked fantastically.

The show soon started. Shichi and Midori sat down in the front row.
A blinding ligth shined up on the stage and the freaks rose from the red and white curtins. Out steped a young girl a bit older then Shichi and Midori. Her haid was snow white eyes black soraunded by a thick line of mascara and she was dressed in a ligth pink balerina dress.
With her was a boy with black hair and simaler featurs but was wearing a vibrent blue suit. They qickly preformd a dance and then ran of the stage.
Midori was looking with amaizment and shock Shichi was claping her hands together and chering for the duo.
There were vibrent red ropes above the stage loosly dangling. On the ropes apperd Kanabun. Shichi was locking at the boy with amazment whale Midori was getting mcfucking war flashbacks.
In a hart beet the show saw over adn Shichi draged Midori to the backstage. Of corse Midori did not tell her that this the circus she use to work at.
In the back stage they finaly got to see the freaks that were preforming a while back. Shichi was looking around the tent as if she was waiting for someone. 'What are you looking for?' said Midori turning her head to gaze apon her new friend.

'That's sad' said Midori.
'What aboust you?' asked Shichi. Midori took a deep breth before opening her mouth.
'Not a long time ago my mother died of illness, so i joind the cirus. I was introdused by meny wird people a muumy man, a sanke woman, a boy girl and meny more. They were all assholes. One day a dwarf joind the circus, and i guess i fell in love. I and the dwarf ran away together but he left me.''
'Do you have eneywhere to go?' Shichi asked. 'Not eyeymore' replayd Midori her eyes wondering around the bar.
'Well you can stay with me if you promise to help me find my brother'. 'Deal' said Midori turning her attention to the girl next to her.
With that deal made they walked out of the bar and the two girls now found them selfs at a small house.
'This is whre we will be staying' said Shici grabing Midori's hand and leading her in the house.
Walking thru the house the floor sligthly creeckd sending shivers down Midori's spine.
'It's nigth we better g to sleep said Shici whale taking out a spare blanket she had lying around.
'Well goodnigth' said Midori, turning out the ligth.
The next morning Midori was waken up by Shici. 'You over sleepd, Midori. Hurry up and get out of bed. With saying that she left clean cloths at her bed.
When Midori was out of bed se and Shici left thru the door and Shici lead Midori to where her brother was known to last work at.
As they got closer to the era witch was a shollow cicrus tent Midori sudely frose but her legs were still walking tourds it. The two girls enterd the tent and sat in beetwen the croud. Soon the show started.....

She was sitting on the side of the road crying her eyes out. After Midori left the circus with the dwarf, he left.
'What is gonna happen to me now?' Midori thogth to her self. As the sun fell and the moon shined Midori wanderd Tokyo all alone. Her eyes started to feel havey and tierd. Walking down the street she saw a bench on witch a ligth poole was shining on.
With out thinking Midori sat on the bench looking up into the sky half asleep. Midori then felt a gentle tap on her sholder. Midori's eyes meet the stranger. 'Hello there, are you from around here?' said the gentle voice.
Midori's sleeping eyes lookd the stranger up and down and then begain to focus her attention on the mysirios strangers face. 'I was' replayd Midori. 'Woud you like to spend the nigth with me' the stranger ciriosly asked.
Midori thogth for a moment before agreeing.
The kind stranger grabed Midori's hand and lead her to a big croud. As they walkied throu the croud Midori togth to her self on where is this un-known person taking her.
They walkd in to a bar and it was finaly ligth enoth to see the stranger's face.
The stranger was a girl, a varey pretty girl around Mirori's age. she had ligth green eyes, pale skin, long black hair and was nicly dreesd in a navy blue school uniform.
Midori and the girl sat down. 'My name is Shici Saru, what's your name?' Midori lookd the girl in the face and said 'My name is Midori..'
'How did you get lost?' asked Midori. Shici sigth before saying ' my parents inrold me in a vary strict school on the other side of the cuntery. Evry one there was an asshole so one nigth I escaped. I wanted to find my family who live her in Tokyo.' She pasud for a moment. 'When i got to our old house nothing was there. I heard that the house burnd bown and my parents died but only my brother survived. So i'm traing to find him.''.
That's sad said Midori.

i was thinking of writing a sequel to shoujo tsubaki where midori's life gent better and gets adopted
