Piggybacking off of your post about writers: It takes five seconds to tap your account name and make a side blog where you can reblog fics if you read a lot and don’t want to clog your main feed. I was so glad someone suggested that in an ask somewhere else, because I have an unhealthy fear of being judged for reblogging smut (I know I shouldn’t, but I do), so I created a side blog that doesn’t mention my name where I can reblog and comment on works to help the author and share my enthusiasm for their work. I hope this helps others who didn’t think of this option before, it’s a win-win for writers and readers!

that's definitely a good alternative. it takes very, very, very, very minimal effort to tap/click the reblog button. if you don't like interactions, you don't even have to say anything or give us feedback. just REBLOG that shit. simple as that.

i'm so tired of everyone jumping through a bunch of hoops and loops as to why they "can't" reblog writers' works and support them. just say you don't want to and then don't complain when no one wants to give you free shit anymore lol

you wanna talk about why content creators are leaving tumblr and leaving you high and dry without material to fantasize over? let's talk about it.

hmm, lets see!

first of all, none of you fucking care to reblog our work. we are all aware of how tumblr's algorithm is absolute trash. writers have been BEGGING for readers reblog their works bc it's the only way our works can be seen and in turn, we receive the fruits of our labor via followers and exposure. but no, lets make MORE THAN HALF of the likes to reblog ratios consist of fucking LIKES. on top of that, we don't we shit on writers for wanting the absolute BARE MINIMUM aka a REBLOG bc well, they're not entitled to it aren't they? while writers aren't necessarily entitled to notes, answer this; do you work for free? do you bust your ass doing something knowing that there will be no pay off what so ever? that's what i thought.

secondly, you treat us like shit. you expect us to spit out content like we're a machine and when we don't get to it on time bc we have - idk - LIVES, you send the shittiest asks demanding for more content that you aren't even paying for. do you think people are gonna neglect their real life responsibilities to write for YOU and for FREE? absolutely not. on top of that, when we start writing for ourselves and our own spaces, we get push back. yea, not an effective way to encourage your favorite fic writers to give you more content to consume.

and lastly, YOU STEAL FROM US. each and every fic that a writer puts out has taken hours, days, weeks, or even months to write. that's lots of hard work and time invested into one single piece for you. free of charge. people put their fucking hearts into their work. and what do you do in return? disrespect them in one of the most hurtful ways possible.

so yea, i don't blame a single fucking person for leaving this shithole and NONE of you should be surprised. this is YOUR doing.

my favorite one of the paraclan npcs... god i love them all. especially gorsedapple and skyheart though, the parallels are really fantastic and i keep remembering that one conversation i had about the potential fidge kit parallel with ebonydawnsky because augh that was just so interesting. additionally gorsedapple's highest loyalty being his fellow oracles - his found family - above even his own biological family, is very touching and i feel kind of speaks to the kind of bonds that emerge in paraclan; these cats have so, so little, especially in intrapersonal relationships, and have been raised with religious dogma shoved in their face. to have the cats at the very heart of that, the oracles, deny it is just. AUGH.

that and ebonysky is hilarious and cute, and comfreystar is also a silly guy. he reminds me of this one character from my hyperfixation but don't ask because it's VERY messy and many times removed. i think it's just the blue coding in fact.

of the spirits? moonpath, probably, which feels like a basic choice to be honest. but want to protect crowswoop (and the wet cat vibes from both of them haha) is so interesting to me, ESPECIALLY, with the juxtaposition between moonpath's connection to crowswoop and lightstar's connection with fidgetfire. and she's just so.. i feel like she could blorbo. btw shes gay and in love with light’s wife

and swanpaw! mostly because of the silly hazel hijinks but also the fatherdaughter relationship between her and mist, especially with some lore in mind... she was just a kid (who god had serious beef with) and her death always makes me very sad conceptually.

god, i also love all the nouveau flame npcs. my favorites are probably bennett and vex though. bennett is no surprise i hope, i had a lot of fun writing him and i find his personality alongside his tiny role in season one to be very fun. i believe in the excruciating it's been changed to be icarus, but bennett was originally the guard watching the travelers who turtledove dismisses in chapter two! i treat it as canon because the idea of bennett feeling responsible for the death of someone he looked up to greatly is funny... i also find emmett's entire half of the family being dead hilarious and sad.

vex!! no real reason besides i felt super bad for her when they kick dirt in her eyes and she dies, but also my vexmarine headcanon is thriving... lesbians or whatever

it's no hot take to love pennystar and roofstar, my favorite npc is probably crosswalk though, she's just so cute and sweet and i care her a lot as an important part of the breakfast club and switchblade's story. pre-crosswalk it pissed me off that there was only four breakfast club members when there are five in the movie btw... by extension i also love crosswalk. also him being a loved guy who has this daughter is super cute to me too.

i also love pigeon-toed! rice and pigeon are super duper funny to me.

that being said, i cannot deny my kin bias for gatekeep, cardboard, and conekit. gatekeep being this very loyalist and so stereotypically alleyclan cat compared to cardboard who is more reserved but also one of miss' lackeys is hilarious. and conekit, bless their soul rest in peace, is such a gremlin who i really wish had more content / i'd made more content for. speaking of expect an npc toyhouse page from me sometime soon!

my favorite polix npc is far and away rocket. iykyk but also goddd rocketflame is so good 🔥🔥 gives doubleflame a run for it’s money too bad she died :P also she’s so silly and fun and her relationship with forest and stella is super cute. she’s THE polix npc also i love that she’s not super into crescendo

another fave is def sheep, tt ex is so silly and also they’re just. very. i also love geoffrey jeremy and jess. i’m adamant that geoffrey is jeremy’s dad and that minnow bowfin and guppy reminded him of his dad. speaking of, minnow!!! one of many “dead npc sibling who has two living littermates” and one of my faves. her subtle trans girl swag is IMMENSE. genetically if she was afab she would be a calico but she’s NOT. she’s TRANS.

He buys thoughtful gifts at least once a month just to show his love a little more. He makes time for all of their school plays and sports games and competitions. He brushes their hair even when they’re well past the age he should if they forget to, just because he can. He pays for their wedding and pretends not to cry when he sees how happy Teddy is. He drops off fresh baked goods and leftovers at their house when they move out whenever he can. He shows them how to fix their car and appliances and everything else. He teaches them how to do makeup and hair when they ask. He gives advice on anything and everything. He researches all of their interests so he can have good conversations with them. Eventually, he becomes the world’s greatest grandfather, doing everything he did for Teddy and still being there to help them alone (he babysits whenever he’s allowed because he loves them all so much).
