Day 11 & 12 of Inktober 2023: Wander & Spicey Sayu and her friend wandered around and had some spicey snack.

Any thoughts on Light’s relationship with his mom/sister since we don’t see them interact as much? Or just cute Yagami family headcanons in general because I like to pretend they’re all still happy :’)

Aww yeah I think I have a few...

-I think Light naturally takes after his mom more than his dad, and that he probably looks and acts like her side of the family more. At his age she was probably very smart and pretty, and maybe even a bit sly and secretive and sassy as a teenager herself

-I think it was Sachiko's idea to name him Light, and that she put a ton of thought into his name and took some flak from the extended family for it because it was quite unusual, but she stuck to her guns

-I think Light genuinely feels very protective of Sayu and his mom, though he tries not to overtly reveal this to them a lot (as he's not the most demonstrative guy with his affections to anybody most times)

-I think Light and Sayu played a lot of Nintendo together growing up. And one of Sayu's favourite childhood things was wedging herself behind him in the computer chair when they got their first computer and watching him play games on there, too (Light was always keen to patiently explain his strategies to her as he went)

-I think Sayu was one of the only people Light actually felt close to and goofed around with a lot, since he always kept a bit of a polite distance with his school friends

-When Sayu was born Light wasn't the type to throw a fit about not being the baby anymore, but actually very excited to have a sibling, and took to being a big brother right away

-Sayu's crush on Hideki Ryuga means that Light has gotten way too familiar with his music by hearing it so much around the house. Light will often absent-mindedly start singing and humming his biggest hits to himself when he's working or studying, and then get annoyed with himself when he catches himself in the act (and Sayu will also tease him mercilessly about it if she does)

NSR ALIEN AU

So, a while back I made a thing of 1010 as Aliens, and i liked the odea of an Alien au. Soo i imma list some Head Cannons, and hope you all enjoy. Feel free to add some ideas in the comments or maybe even your own twists or things.

All NSR artists are aliens

Cliff (or Kliff i can't remember) is basically tinfoil had conspirator

Mayday and Zuke set off to not only bring back rock but expise NSR as Aliens

Every phase of each battle, the artists more alien traits start to show. And when defeated, theu are revealed ti be fully alien

Im not sure how to do about DJSS sikce guy was pretty unique already ^^;

Sayu, and her group, is probably from a water based planet, probably alot of fishy alien inhabitants, and with people enjoying the concept of mermaids, they managed to blend in

Yinu is probably half alien, half human, with her mother bejng an alien, and her father being human.

Yinu's mom probably landed on earth, lost and alone, and Yinu's dad helped her adjust to earth, and the fall in love and have Yinu

Neon J is probably a Space Captain, coming to earth, fighting in the war, then introducing 1010 (his sons i will fight to the death about this) as a robotic boy band, when in reality they are high ranking extraterrestrials, woth their dad being a captain. Neon J found life on earth, after war, peaceful, and wanted to keep his sons (1010) safe.

Eve is tricky, but I'll try. She lived on earth for a bit, adaptating like Yinu's mom. In later life, she got her skin condition, meeting Zuke he gelped her stabilize a bit, and Adapt a bit more comfortably. And she discovered her love of art while adaptating to earth (again she's tricky so i tried, leave your ideas in the comments)

Tatiana, being the first alien, she found a way to fit in, with her firey abilities by bekng part of a band. When she settled down, she left, but kept her true identity a secret, even from Kliff, but he found out (some how). And she started up NSR, finding out abkut the others along the way, and recruiting them

Anyone who thought I've abandoned this AU is wrong

Anyway, here's part one of my concepts for the NSR megastars for my PMD au

I'm putting my ramblings about them under a readmore if you're interested in reading them, but first I want to point out that the reason why DJSS has two pokemon is because I... can't decide which pokemon I want to make him;;;. So I'm putting them both up anyway and let y'all decide which suits him best (there are characters who I couldn't decide what to make them either, like 1010 and Neon J. You'll see who they are soon), and then maybe someday I'll do a final lineup of everyone.

1) DJSS Deoxys

Not only is deoxys a space-themed pokemon but it also has a similar build with DJSS, especially the defence form. They also both have orbs as part of their body (which are both technically heads since deoxys’s crystal is actually supposed to be its brain), deoxys’s “””ears””” are vaguely look like headphones and, of course, they both have “spaghetti arms”. But because DJSS is the first boss you fight in No Straight Roads I feel that making him a legendary/mythical might be too extreme.

2) DJSS Minior

The only suitable non-legendary alternative I can think of. Miniors have shells that can crack open, like how DJSS’s helmet gets cracked, plus Minior's core does look like his head sans the spikes. It's also a funny idea to turn a large and imposing character like DJSS into something tiny and still acting just as egotistical and arrogant. However, Minior canonically has a lifespan of less than a day once their shells are cracked open.

I could work around this by introducing a made-up device that prevents him from turning into space dust? Or just completely disregard it altogether and make DJ a special case.

3) Sayu popplio line

Pretty self-explanatory; Sayu is a mermaid and the popplio line are themed around mermaids. The evolutions also slot perfectly well with her form changes. Much like in No Straight Roads, Sayu isn’t real in the PMD universe either as she is an illusion created and controlled by Team Sayu.

4) Team Sayu

Remi being an artist gets to be smeargle, as well as Tila being a jigglypuff for both being singers, as well as similar colour palettes. Dodo is a shiny kirlia for having similar colour palettes and for their dancing. Dodo is also responsible for conjuring the Sayu illusion and controlling her with his psychic abilities, much like how he controls her movement as a mocap animator. Sofa is a porygon2 for both being associated with computers/virtual aesthetics, although it was hard thinking about how to make his skills work in the PMD universe. The reason why I thought he could influence Sayu’s environment is that he appears to have control over how Sayu’s stage looks in her boss fight as soon as he was introduced (i.e adjusting the lights) so he could be responsible for creating his own illusions using his virtual abilities to give Sayu an advantage.
