so you know how the history of chokers were from french women who wore red ribbons around their necks in protest of guillotines. what if we were to start wearing black chokers in protest for BLM? like we all just start wearing all kinds of black chokers. I think that would be super neat.

DC protests have continued for 2 months nonstop against police violence and for Black Lives. Despite having a population greater than Vermont or Wyoming, DCâs statehood remains controversial among Republicans who canât keep control of the government without multiple forms of voter suppresion.
The media giants wonât tell us this, but there are protests happening all over the US. With the coordinated BDS (Boycott, Divest, Sanction) movement, large corporations like Sbux and Wackdonalds are feeling the hurt - collective action Works.

I found this via Instagram yesterday, Feb 14.
A screen grab of an Instagram post, titled: âGolden Gate Bridge Briefly Blocked by Activists Calling for Cease Fire in Gazaâ
Post credited to kqednews and reads: âActivists calling for a ceasefire in Gaza blocked traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge this morning around 7:30 a.m. Traffic was closed for about 20 minutes and reopened by 8 a.m.
Israel is preparing for a military offensive in Rafah, a city and location of a border crossing at the southern end of Gaza where Palestinians are seeking refuge but unable to leave, prompting warnings by President Joe Biden to not proceed without a plan to protect civilians.
In the Bay Area, protestors had previously blocked the Bay Bridge in November to draw attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.â
The image shown is taken from the Golden Gate Bridge, where 4 activists are wearing masks and holding a large banner-sign that says âSTOP ARMING ISRAELâ, behind them you can see traffic lined up.
Original post here.
An easy way to protest Israeli products that actively support the genocide in Gaza. This is something you can do.

Similar to the March for Our Lives a year ago, students will leave their classrooms again today across the US, joining students from over 100 countries around the world who have already marched, begging their elders, to work to leave some of the world behind for them to thrive with.

While there are many issues that plague every generation, this generation sees themselves shook with the idea that they might not even have a chance to survive as more data shows that the deadline to save the human racesâ existence on the planet is just getting closer, and closer. While the declining health of the planet has been an issue for decades, and the ignorance of facts behind it are baffling, the students and youth really are doing everything they can to keep it on individuals minds and are seeing growing victories from lawsuits against their governments, the growing vegan and vegetarian movements, and bans on single-use plastic. Looking at the map above this is a growing movement and my only hope, the only hope is that others get out of their way: in political office, in corporations, and the ridiculous online bullying older people think will impact the younger generation.Â
PS--if none of the 16 marches planned in New Zealand occurred, you have our deepest sympathies and understanding. Whether blocked by the lockdowns or just needing to be at home with those you love, stay safe.Â
Proud of this uncle.

RincĂłn is a popular tourist spot in Puerto Rico.
this is RincĂłn, PRâthereâs been protests against construction next to the coast
Itâs a project that takes away a beach from RincĂłn. Itâs a proposed bike bath thatâll take up a large portion of the coast (at least a mile)!
I like cycling and mountain biking, but hereâs a question, does a bike path need to take away a mile of Beach Reserve?
this building project takes up part of a Marine Reserve and popular surf spot! (I apologize if the pictures are blurryâthe car was driving by, not stopping)
below are some pictures of the said beach
Would you take this away, for a bike lane?
how to riot/protest safely!
cover your face! masks are important, not just to cover your mouth but your face so your unrecognisable. face glitter can also help as it blurs your face in security footage. also, if you have dyed hair, wigs! hiding your identity if rioting and not protesting is huge if you dont want to be sent to jail. TEAR GAS! milk will help your throat, water to clear your eyes and nose. if they start with tear gas, RUN. your life is still a priority.
GOOGLES! bring googles! cover as much of your body as possible, rubber bullets hurt much more on bare skin. if you wear contacts/glasses, WEAR YOUR GLASSES. DO NOT WEAR CONTACTS. be mindful of small business, just because you want to protest doesnt mean you have to destroy innocent peoples livelihoods. hide all piercings. as i said earlier, masks! preferably those blank white ones as one with lots of patterns will get you recognised.
PLEASE! EVERYBODY STAY SAFE! look out for each other and donât be scared to make friends with other protesters, youâre sll here for the same reasons.
The governmentâs worst fear, a queer disabled man with an axe and only his dignity to lose. Fight for the weak my friends.
