OMG your schools really don’t teach u that?! Imean... those are the things I knew when I was like 12. Not cus I’m smart (actually I’m dumb as an oak) but those are really things that everyone should know from school.
Never forget to remind high schoolers who have shit to say about LGBTQ+ and how it conflicts with biology that their public education system is manipulated by govt standards and if they had the chance to take college biology/sociology/history classes they would learn that sex and gender are not the same thing!!!
While on that, they would also learn (presented by a college sophomore):
•America has done some rly shitty things to other countries.
•Black history is way more extensive than they were previously taught.
•For that matter, all POC history is way more extensive than they were previously taught.
•Many historical figures were gay/bisexual. Those sexualities were not invented in the 80s.
•There are also historical figures who were probably trans or preferred to present as another gender.
•Abortion is not literally stabbing a full grown baby. It’s almost always taking a pill that forces a VERY early miscarriage.
•Gender roles and racial stereotypes are social constructs. Biology does not determines certain genders or races do certain things.
•80% of genetic variation occurs within one’s own race. You likely have more in common genetically with someone of a different race than someone of your own.
•The War on Drugs was literally created to target black people. Yes, the government has done many racist things.
•Not all weight gained is unhealthy. It often depends on where it’s gained (so yeah, if you have fat thighs you’re probably still healthy).
•Literature being taught to you is not specifically selected to be queer or feminist. Lots of famous literature just happens to be that way.
•Native Americans had entire cities built before white men came. They were not basically woods-people.
•Islam says nothing about terrorism in any scripture. “Jihad” means conversion, but peacefully.
•Not every Islamic country is oppressive towards women. Many are very lenient.
•Christianity and Islam have so many similarities that their extremists have about the same values.
•Anti-Semitism is a thing that goes back centuries, and did not start with Nazi Germany.
•The singular “they” was actually accepted in Medieval times. People didn’t try to make it solely plural until the 19th century.
•AAVE is a legitimate dialect and formed while American English was still evolving, so no, it’s not just “bad English.”
•White people’s ancestors, who were primarily Norsemen, did not first discover Christianity. They were pagans who learned Christianity from the Romans.
•The Romans had nothing against homosexuality and had a few emperors who fell in love with men (see: Hadrian).
•Eastern religions, though very different from Abrahamic, still have more in common with Abrahamic beliefs than you’d think.
•And finally: college does not indoctrinate you. They are free from the bounds of education put by the government and are allowed to explore more histories. If you’re truly as anti-govt as you say you are, accept college education!!!!

alright, so... Right now I’ve just read a reportage about how some group of young people had beaten shit out of two gays that were just holding hands together.
For the first: We are living in a culture, that si more comfortable with two men holding guns than holding hands.
Second: This world is... We are more comfortable and better accepting men who are killing little children than men who love each other. That si NOT okay.
As a Bisexual teenage girl living in Czech republic, I’m afraid. I’m afraid for somebody to know that I belong into LGBT, and informations below are the reason why.
In our school, is absolutely alright when somebody is calling the other fa*got, sl*t or wh*re and everybody thinks it’s alright. I’m afraid, not so much from students (I can actually defend - I’m strong), but of the teachers. hey, u stand? I’m afraid of the teachers to know that I’m into guys and girls! teachers! T-E-A-CH-E-R-S!!!
That is not alright at all!
and Finally: Homophobia is a problem, and it’s a problem that whole society has. We need to stop it! More education, more discusions, more acceptable people in this world! Yes, we still have these primitive problems, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t be better!

[stabbing + hurt protecting someone else]
“Geralt!” Jaskier shouts, clearly as a warning, and Geralt feels a spike of mingled irritation and fear at the sound of the bard’s voice. He’s supposed to be a good fifty yards further away, out of danger while Geralt fights off the remaining, larger-than-average kikimore warrior. Whatever might be behind him, Geralt can’t actually look away at the moment, pressed up so close to the kikimore trying to hold back the beast from his throat.
There are footsteps that he doesn’t really process, a strange voice shouting in surprise, sounds of a scuffle, the smell of human blood and the scent of fear and pain as a breeze carries it past. Fear and pain and someone he doesn’t know, and Jaskier.
He grunts and manages to leverage just a tiny bit more strength, just enough to push the sharp legs back and shoot an igni off into its maw. It’s just enough to tip the tide, and within moments the creature falls amongst its fallen brethren. Geralt doesn’t pause to catch his breath before whirling around, sword at the ready, and finds Jaskier much too close, holding an unfamiliar short sword to the neck of a man on the ground, both men breathing heavily.
“I get the sinking feeling, Geralt,” Jaskier says with faux brightness, “that this gentleman was hoping to wait until you’d killed the kikimore and buried a knife in your back!” Geralt snarls, stalking towards them, and Jaskier removes the sword so Geralt can haul the man up. Geralt doesn’t want to admit that he probably could’ve been snuck up on, but between the potion he had to take at the start and the toxicity buildup from the venom, he’s not at his best.
“Get out of here,” he all but spits in the man’s face, and the man cowers, and once Geralt puts his feet back on the ground, he flees. Geralt grunts and pulls out a vial of White Honey to cancel out the toxins and potions. “We’ll have to leave town,” he grumbles, already mentally making a note not to pass through here again if he can help it.
“Oh, yeah, that sounds good,” Jaskier says, and Geralt frowns - his voice is a little too wavery than it should be, even if scared, and Geralt turns to look him over immediately, suddenly realizing that the sharp blood smell hasn’t faded.
“What happened?” Geralt snaps, his eyes spotting the slowly-growing, uncomfortably-large red stain on Jaskier’s thigh and cursing.
“Oh, you know,” Jaskier says, his voice fainter than ever. “Just a mild stabbing.”
And then his eyes roll back in his head and he collapses.

Ok so we all know that, in the movie, Miles had a special sort of stare that would make people back down when he wanted to go through with something, like with the “Let’s hunt” scene, so let’s take it a step further.
I like to think that colonel has his special death stare that he uses to win arguments or intimidate people into doing his bidding, and then even uses it on Spider when they argue. It works first couple times but then Spider learns to mirror it, and with down-turned brows like his it becomes quite easy.
So now the kid uses it as a defence mechanism. When he feels threatened he’d use the stare to make whoever threatens him to back down or to intimidate humans into letting him go places he might not be allowed in. Basically using it to his benefit to survive amongst humans.
And then, weeks after the Sea Dragon incident, he argues with Jake.
Jake grabs his arm.
Spider instinctively looks him in the eye.
And a shiver runs down Sully’s back…
…like he’s seen this gaze before.
