@pengintoppa I finished the thing! Here’s my drawing of characters that have influenced my development for your art project. I ended up over-working it and spending way too much time on it and I’m not happy with it and and and and and and and *stage hook*
So, the characters I chose to draw are Kirby (sweet boy) from his various self-titled games and Ezio Auditore da Firenze from Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. Kirby has been a non-judgmental companion for me since I was a wee lass. I would be on the playground at school and pretend that he was at my side, whispering under my breath to talk to him. He would be there with me when felt I had no one else. In short, his friendship carried me through a lot of rough times.
While I have had Kirby with me since I first started playing Kirby: Nightmare In Dreamland in elementary school, I didn’t “meet” Ezio until high school when I played the three Assassin’s Creed titles that follow his story. My mental relationship with this character is complex, but if I could summarize, I’d say that his own story of growth helped me come to some terms with my depression and personal identity.
