Dewdrop ralises when he starts wearing the new papa’s uniform and sees Aether in the era 5 one, that only he and Mountain remain active from when he was summoned. He goes to Mountain, and they remember all they’ve been through.

After putting on his new uniform for the first time, Dewdrop walked out of his room, and saw Aether, still in the Impera one, since he hadn’t made it to the new era. It suddenly hit Dewdrop, he and Mountain were the only ones remaining from when he was summoned.
He hesitated once he reached the taller ghoul’s door, but his had knocked on it without him even realising it. Once Mountain opened it, he let Dewdrop in without further questioning. “Hi, firefly.” He said quietly.
Dewdrop looked up at him and smiled softly, “Hey, big guy… You do realise we’re the only ones left from Terzo’s era, don’t you?” He asked.
Mountain nodded. They could both remember, all those years ago, when Dew was still a water ghoul, both fleshly summoned ghouls, they clung to each other, didn’t let go until Omega walked up to them with Terzo and used his quintessence to heal the wounds that the pits had caused them. And even then, they stayed close together, connected instantly, even if they rarely showed it.
During those first months, they shared a room, slept together as a form of familiarity from their previous home. They rarely went further than that, but when they did, it was gentle, only as a way to feel closer to each other.
When Copia became cardinal, they finally managed to be able to sleep in their respective rooms. But they still ended up together some nights. During said tour, they shared bunks when going through cold places and sometimes just out of habit.
When Copia became papa, after Aether left them in the middle of the tour, Dewdrop could only go to Mountain for comfort, feeling like only him could make him feel at home, even if just for a few minutes.
And now, here they were, back in each other’s arms again.
