honestly wasn't expecting the Minecraft movie to be gay porn with barely a plot but.... I mean I'm not complaining....
Changing my rating to 7.5/10 actually. Still positive, but does Jack Black need to announce everything? His actions felt much more dramatic than hey needed to be. He's still fun, but idk. Also it is best to watch in theaters for that audience hype.
So I just saw the minecraft movie. Here is my honest review. WITH SPOILERS
I THINK IT WAS GOOD. The theater hype really helped with people consistently cheering at Steve quotes and influencer cameos. There were some funny moments, and I do like the characters, though Henry is an easy favorite. The plot is good. I liked seeing what they did with what they had. The creativity with Henry using real objects on a crafting table was really cool! There's a good message about being creative despite the struggles. The romance subplot feels unnecessary, but it was kind of funny (not really). And I like the end credit scene. If you want it to be nearly identical to Minecraft, go watch something else because this is set in the game, but has it's own unique story. Anyways. 8/10

The trailers and such are where I get my idea of Steve and Alex from. Because as much as I adore buff Alex and Steve who would obviously be quite strong from cutting trees, building, mining, fighting, etc all the time..
there's something so endearing and funny about this soppy, wet cat of a man that things never go quite right for and his (thankfully) not as pathetic and more spacially aware partner, Alex.

Was in a Minecraft mood, so I went and did the Steve and Herobrine.
I sometimes see folks draw Brine as either the exact same as Steve, just with white eyes, or as much bigger and more buff looking. I’ve come across some who draw Brine as more slight, or less beefy than Steve (who canonically punches down trees), but it wasn’t enough for me. So MY dumbass made Steve built like a brick house, and Herobrine as some short twink of a gremlin.
They’re best friends, Your Honor.
They also fuck, but I can’t show that. Yet
Anyway, i hope y’all enjoy. I had fun making this one, and I’ve been able to get a portable drawing tablet, so I can do more doodles on the go, instead of having to wait until i get home.

Some things about this AU (main):
They are all in a war that lasted for millions of years (inspired by transformers, obv)

I redesigned the main three! Felt like they needed a second pass so here we are. Under the cut are the lore details for them, so if you're interested hope you enjoy! If not, see you in a bit :)
Herobrine is a unique kind of builder, one that was born in what is essentially creative mode. He originated from the void, and remained there for a long, long time. Only kept company by the one other who inhabited it, though she didn't do much to soothe his loneliness.
He eventually made it out of the void, but he was rejected by creatures on the surface. In a howl of despair and an emotional out pour of energy, it was him who caused a lot of chaos in the world. From the zombie infection, to the pillager's existence, to the creation of the two bosses and a lot of other mobs.
Afterwards he fled and disappeared. Time passed and he became legend, known as Herobrine, or the prince of monsters. Presently, most are unsure if he was an actual person or was just a created myth.
Steve was taken into and raised in a village. It was at a time before builders were widely accepted, they had a poor reputation around that time, so he had to hide features of his appearance such as ears and hair to blend in.
He passed for a long time, but eventually he had died in front of the other villagers. Which was no problem, as he could just respawn, but other villagers couldn't do that- So if he were to return to the village after they had seen him die, he would be outed. So he left the village, to believe he had died.
Alex was born in the nether and taken in by a piglin tribe. The piglins didn't mind her species as much since they didn't really know the reputation the builders had, and if they did it wasn't really that important. They feared NOTHING.
She was raised specifically by a piglin brute, the chief of the tribe. She never left her tribe until Steve came around, she probably wouldn't have otherwise.

Here's my take on a few things, mostly Steve, Alex and Herobrine with a few mobs thrown in there for good measure
