Working on stuff/reading in a room together >>>>> going out easy.
i love the vibe of computer scientists and general stem people so much. they're usually not talkative and can have mannerisms others might consider odd (or even rude), but i love just being in the same room as them. working on solving a math problem, exchanging ideas, or just silently coding next to each other.
i cannot stress enough how joyful of an experience that is.
Classmates watching me in a college level stem oriented calculus class like I’m a wizard for doing multiplication on paper during a quiz
"You won't always have a calculator with you." Was an in hindsight funny as hell thing to say to a bunch of kids growing up at the turn of the millennium, but learning the traditional ways is extremely worth it. If for no reason other than it makes me seem like some sort of sorcerer every time I do math in my head in front of my coworkers.
