“Tremblay, what have you done this time?”

Logan knew that Cecilia, his manager, was being sarcastic, but her eyebrows still raised warily as he stepped into her office. She was fairly new still, and Logan liked her a lot. Martin had recommended her upon his retirement two years ago, and she had been nothing but efficient and helpful- but Logan couldn’t deny that he did cause her a little trouble. He winced internally at the memory of the time he had gotten into a brutal fight with an L.A. Kings player who’d said something about Leo, who was out with a hamstring injury at the time. He’d implied an unsavory way in which Leo could have gotten that injury, and Logan had immediately lost it.

He had woken up to a message from Cecilia saying Impressed, but really? with some photos attached that had circulated Twitter. They weren’t anything incriminating, just annoying, but they had required he attend a conference regarding his ‘attack dog tendencies’, as Finn so loveingly called them. Needless to say, however, Cecilia had not been impressed, and he had bought her some really nice chocolates as a thank you for clearing up the misudnerstanding.

He closed the door behind him. “Hi, Cece, how are you?”

She brought her shoulder-length micro-braids up in a twist. “Depends on what you have to say to me Logan.” Her voice was serious, but her expression was teasing. “Have a seat, hon.”

That was another thing that Logan liked about Cecilia. She was no-nonesense, but she was unbearably kind. Her wife, Leanna, played for the New York Sirens, so she was knowledgeable not only about the hockey world, but about how to exist as a queer player within it. Sometimes, if Logan was particularly lonely, he would ask them to go out for a beer, or Leanna would cook for them in their apartment. It felt good to have friends here in New York- even if they sometimes just reminded what he was missing back in Gryffindor.

Which was why he was here today.

He sat down in front of her desk, looking at the picture of her and Leanna when the Sirens won the Walter Cup the previous year. It made him smile and remember that first Stanley Cup he had won with his boys, just about seven years previous. He remembered the parties, and the handshakes, and the hugs from his parents and sisters- but he mostly remembered feeling high and in love on top of it all, the newness of it all. He still felt like that- he’d definitely felt that when they had gotten married two years previous.

And that’s why now he felt it was time to end that feeling of separation, of sadness. The day after they lost in the Conference Finals less than a week ago, he had called to set up a meeting with Cecilia. His boys were still sleeping when he left, and he had left a note saying he was going to meet up with the team for a final good-bye before they all went their separate ways for the summer. In reality, he had nervously driven here, to Cecilia’s office, hoping he was going to be able to convince her to free him from the box that had weighed down on all their shoulders for years.

Logan looked up to Cecilia. “I want to leave New York.”

She didn’t even flinch, just folded her hands on her lap and nodded for him to continue.

He took a deep breath. “I just- I appreciate everything the Rangers have done for me. And, ouais, d’accord, it could have been a lot worse.” He sighed, suddenly nervous. “And I am… grateful it hasn’t been worse, but- but I think it’s time for me to go.

“I really just,” he started again, then realized he was tearing up. He wiped his nose on his sleeve. “I really miss my husbands. And we made a plan together three years ago that, at the end of mine and Leo’s contracts, we would renegotiate together.” Logan looked at Cecilia, trying to look sure of himself. “So I want to go back to the Lions. Or- or I retire.” He rolled his eyes. “Mais, non, I won’t retire.” He squinted, though, thinking. “Second option is Leo coming here. Which is… fine. But if that’s not happening, then I retire.”

To his surprise, Cecilia just smiled. “I was hoping you’d say that,” she said. She shuffled around in her desk, pulling out a file. “Leo called me last week, and basically said the same thing.” She raised her eyebrows at him. “Although, he didn’t threaten me with retirement.”

Logan flushed with a small smile. “Non, don’t tell them I did that. I think that was just in the moment.”

She laughed. “And I don’t know why it’s a threat to me exactly, but you especially made it seem like that.”

Logan cocked his head, smile challenging. “Well, me retiring means you lose a salary, non?”

Cecilia just snorted. “Tremblay, I’ve got plenty enough clients. You’re not that special, sorry.” She settled down, her expression turning soft. “In all honesty, I’m happy you came to me. No offense, but I can only take so much more of your sad eyes looking at my wife and I in our kitchen cooking you dinner when you have a perfectly capable chef for a husband waiting for you at home.”

Logan laughed, then sat up straighter, suddenly. “What do you mean- waiting for me at home?”

Cecilia grinned slyly. “I had the privilege of having a chat with Arthur Weasley the other day.” She took out a piece of paper from the folder, sliding it over to him. “He’s excited to be welcoming you back for training camp in August.”

Logan just stared at her for a second, then at the papers. There in front of him was his name, a number with a dollar sign- he didn’t care what it was, honestly, they had plenty of money. But he’d been waiting for this moment for so long he didn’t know what to do with himself.

He looked back up at Cecilia. “I thought- I thought it’d be a lot harder to negotiate this, if I’m honest.”

She just shrugged. “Trust me, I’ve got my magical ways.” She leaned over, resting on her forearms. “But I think it’s time that you call your boys. Or, better yet-” She looked at her watch, then nodded at the door. “I’ve got a couple of guys out there waiting for my next appointment, if you want to let them in.”

Logan’s eyes widened, then he bolted out of his chair and ripped open the door. Leo jumped slightly in the chair he was sitting in- he made it seem so small. Finn, beside him, was gripping Leo’s thigh in surprise, then furrowed his brow when he saw Logan. He stood. “Lo? Baby, what-?”

But Logan was just laughing, walking over in a couple strides to grab Finn’s neck and bring him down for a hard, happy kiss. Finn made a noise as he relaxed into Logan’s hold and wrapped his arms around his waist. Logan pulled away when he felt Leo’s hand on his hip, turning to kiss him, too. Logan was squished in between his two boys, warm and happy and finally going home.

“Lo,” Leo said against his lips. “Lo, Logan, sweetheart. What’s going on?”

Logan pressed one more hard kiss to his lips before pulling away. Finn and Leo were both flushed but still surprised, gripping him hard around his waist and hips as they looked down at him. They looked so funny to Logan in that moment that he had to just laugh.

Finn, smiling confusedly, just squeezed his ribs a little bit. “Lo, baby, what’s happening?”

Logan leaned in to look in his eyes, noses brushing. “Looks like number ten is going to be back on Gryffindor ice.”

Leo made a choked gasping sound behind him and Finn’s eyes widened.

“No,” Finn said, mouth splitting into a smile. “No fucking way!”

Logan was nodding, then Finn was gripping his face hard and pulling him into a deep kiss. Leo wrapped his arms harder around Logan’s ribs, lips against his neck. “Oh, Lo,” Leo whispered, voice a little shaky. “Oh, God.”

Logan broke away from Finn, who just pressed a few sloppy kisses to his face, laughing, before he turned to Leo. “Ouais, ouais, soleil.”

“Oh my God,” Leo said again.

Logan realized that Leo was crying. “Sh, sh, soleil,” he shushed, pressing kisses to Leo’s red cheeks. “Don’t cry. Sh, non, don’t cry, c’est bien.”

Leo laughed. “I’m not sad, God, no.” He kissed Logan hard and short in that way he only did when he was deliriously happy. “I’m just so happy, Lo. Oh-”

He stopped himself, wrapping his arms around Logan’s waist to lift him into a hard hug, Logan’s feet leaving the ground. Logan laughed as he looped his own arms around Leo’s neck. Finn came up behind them and placed his hands gently on Logan’s hips, coaxing Logan’s legs around Leo’s waist. He began to press hard kisses to the back of Logan’s hair and the top of Leo’s head, which was resting in the curve of where Logan’s shoulder met his neck. They were all smiling hard into each other’s skin and laughing a little.

“Fuck,” Finn said giddly. “Fuck, ten. This is so good, what the hell.”

“Ouais,” Logan said. “Ouais, I’m coming home.”

Leo whined a little into Logan’s neck and Logan shushed him again. “Sh, sh, soleil.”

“Sorry,” Leo said, pulling back. Logan wiped away the tears on his rosy cheeks, and Finn leaned around briefly to kiss his lips. “Sorry, it’s just- it’s just been really hard without you.”

Logan nodded in understanding. He’d thought it would be harder on Finn to be apart, especially considering the beginning when Logan left. He knew that he had partially manifested Finn’s worst fear of one of them leaving, but they’d moved past that ages ago. To all of their surprise, including his own, it had been Leo who had had the most difficult time with the separation. He frequently didn’t sleep well and would sometimes get into these funks where he would be sad and nostalgic for days. It checked out, Logan guessed- Leo had always missed his home more than most people, more than Logan or Finn. And just when they had established a home together in Gryffindor all those years ago, Logan had been traded to New York. For him, within two years he had left one home and had one taken away from him, or at least for the nine months of the year that they played hockey.

Logan and Finn had gotten a lot better at dealing with Leo’s times of spaciness. Normally, he needed to be held by Finn and to call Logan. Finn would read to them, or he would fall asleep to Finn and Logan’s talking. Leo just loved their voices- Logan could relate. He took numerous videos every time he came home and savoured every voice message they sent him, just to rewatch or relisten to them constantly when they were apart. It had gotten easier once Finn had retired and he was able to visit on weekends or travel with Leo to New York, but it definitely stung that Leo was at the mercy of the NHL schedule and his time with Logan was more limited.

Now, though, hopefully Leo wouldn’t feel that way ever again.

They were interrupted by someone clearing their throat. Logan looked over Leo’s shoulder to see Cecilia standing by her office door with her arms folded. Her eyebrows were raised, but her eyes were teasing. “Not that this isn’t sweet, boys, but I believe it isn’t official under Mr. Tremblay signs some papers.”

They all laughed.

“Sorry, Cece,” Finn said, helping Logan down from Leo’s hold. They followed her into her office. Finn took Leo’s hand as Logan approached the desk. “We’re just excited, I think.”

“I know,” she replied, placing a pen on top of Logan’s contract. “Been a long time coming, huh?”

Leo shrugged. “Yeah, but you understand how it is more than anyone.”

She nodded. “Yeah, the constant traveling and being apart does take its toll on anyone.” She reached out to ruffle Logan’s hair playfully. “But this one called me all stubborn the other day, so I figured I could do something about that.”

Finn snorted. “That’s one way to describe him.”

Logan tisked his tongue, but signed his signature to the dotted line. When he was finished, he looked up to find everyone else smiling at him.

“Well,” Cecilia sighed. “Looks like I’ll be seeing a lot less of your face around here, Logan. Phone calls only.” She narrowed her eyes. “Unless you cause any more trouble.”

Finn laughed, wrapping his arms around Logan’s waist and pressing a harsh kiss and a bite to Logan’s sharp jaw. “Don’t worry, Cece. He’ll be very good, promise.”

“Finn,” Leo chastised.

But Cecilia just laughed. “Okay, O’Hara. You can continue that at home.” She walked around her desk, and Logan met her for a hard hug. “I’m very happy for you Logan.” She pulled back and put her hands on his shoulders. “And any time you’re back in the city, you’re always welcome over for dinner. All of you.”

“Merci, Cecilia,” Logan said. “Thanks for- for everything.”

She just patted his shoulder softly. “My pleasure, you know that.” She turned to Leo and Finn. “Come here, you two. Then you be on your way- gotta pack up that New York apartment, I imagine.”

Leo and Finn hugged her with bright smiles and a ‘thank you’ each before she was ushering them out the door.

“I’ll get this contract processed ASAP, Logan, and then I’ll call you when it’s finalized.” She stopped, resting her body against her office door. “But as far as I know, you’re all good to go back to Gryff.”

“Merci beaucoup,” Logan said, hugging her once more. “À bientôt.”

“Nos vemos,” she replied, stepping back. “Off you go boys. Give me a call when you’re back in the city.” And with a final wave, she closed her office door behind her.

Now in the silent hallway, Logan turned to his two boys, who were looking at him expectantly. “Quoi?”

Leo raised his eyebrows. “Seemed like a fun meeting with your team.”

Logan rolled his eyes. “It was going to be a surprise.”

Leo took him under an arm as they started to walk. “And what if it hadn’t worked out?”

Logan shrugged. “That wasn’t going to happen.”

Leo snorted.

“Non,” Logan said. “I wasn’t going to let it happen.” He briefly took the hand Leo had over his shoulder and kissed the back of it before letting it go limp against him again. “I’ve spent enough time away from you. Not anymore.”

Finn just took his hand and pressed a kiss to his cheek. “Agreed, ten.” He grinned. “Feels so good to call you that again and have it be true.”

Logan laughed. “I thought I always was your ten?”

“Well,” Finn said. “You’re a ten outta ten, if that’s what you’re wondering.” He winked at Leo. “You, too, sunshine.”

Leo just blushed as they entered the elevator and he pushed the button for the parking garage. “You think you’re so clever, Fish.”

“You surely thought that last night when I-”

“Finn.”

Finn was still laughing when the elevator doors opened for them. Logan walked to his car, then realized they were following him. “Where’s your car?” he asked.

Leo kissed his head. “We walked to breakfast then took the subway here.”

“Hey Le,” Finn interrupted, taking Logan’s keys from him. “I’ll drive, if you wanna blow Logan in the backseat.”

Logan straightened as Leo spluttered. “Finn!” Leo whisper-shouted. His eyes were wide and a bit admonishing, but his adorable cheeks were flushing steadily. “What is up with you today?”

Finn smirked at him and kissed his cheek. “Don’t pretend like you don’t like it.” He chirped the car to unlock it. “Besides, I’m just basking in the love.” He paused. “And if you give me a show and blow Lo in the backseat, maybe I’ll blow you when we get home.”

Logan hummed. “Maybe?”

Finn winked. “Definitely, baby. I’ll blow you both, if you wanna go again, Tremz. Maybe do a little bit more than blow you, if that’s what you want.”

Logan blinked hard. “Ouais. Ouais, yeah, let’s go.”

Finn opened the back door, and Logan gently ushered a blushing Leo into the backseat and closed the door behind them.

Leo shifted as Logan followed and they buckled themselves in. “You’re sure lucky that these windows have shades we can put up, Fish.”

“Counting on it, butter.” He climbed in the driver’s side, adjusting the rearview window. Logan could see his brown eyes in the reflection. “Let’s get going boys. Gonna be a long drive with the midday traffic. You might as well make the most of it.”

Logan smiled at Leo’s flushed skin and Finn’s sharp grin as he leaned over to kiss Leo. Their mouths moved together and he could tell Finn was watching them in the mirror with the way he started cursing. Leo’s body was warm, his hands were working on Logan’s shorts zipper, and Finn was praising them from the front seat- Logan was so high on their sounds and their bodies he almost didn’t know what to do with himself. And, best of all, underneath the teasing words and the heated touches, there always was the love. The beautiful, soul-encompassing love that his boys gave him all day, every day, whether together or apart. But now, that distance was being crossed, hopefully never to part them again.

Logan smiled against Leo’s mouth, reached for Finn’s hand to squeeze it. He couldn’t wait to go home.
