Macaque's fur
I’ve got a little headcanon based on what I’ve heard about the 2000s cartoon (haven’t watched it yet, so feel free to correct me if I’m wrong). From what I gather, Macaque has white fur in that version, right?
Now, I’ve seen some LMK fan artists depict him with white fur too, and that gave me an idea—what if we mixed those interpretations?Not like combine the colors or have one side be white and the other black I mean in the way like an artic fox's fur works
So,When Winter is approaching Macaque starts to Shed his shorter,black thin fur to a long white coat.
And since SWK doesn’t do that, the first time it happened, he absolutely panicked, thinking Macaque was terminally ill or something. While SWK’s over here Having a Panic attack, probably speaking in Incoherent sentences and freaking out, Macaque is there, super confused, like, “???”.
Eventually, Macaque figures out what’s going on, sits Wukong down, and explains everything to him. Wukong's like, “Ohhhhhh, so I was panicking over nothing…” Macaque would probably tease him about it later
