I must say I'm not pleased by the amount of Ozpin bashing I'm seeing during vol 9. This ain't the show's, fault, it's the viewers not understanding shit.

Specifically that the leader speech that Ozpin gave Ruby and fucked her up (and the same Ruby gave to Jaune, fucking HIM up in turn) is one that he also applies to himself 100%. We saw the consequences of that in vol 6, now we're seeing the consequences for Ruby and Jaune now.

THIS all might not fun that is 100% ozpin seeing how someone's unresolved trauma gets passed on to their student/child/protegee when it hasn't been understood & acknowledged as such is so so interesting to see it's great writing fandom's tendency to villify adults who are STILL suffering from said trauma because the '''bad''' lessons they taught their protegees is a standard they also hold themselves to it's fucked up for all of them it's the whole point toshinari yagi let adults fail & grow without painting them as malicious & irredeemable in the process
