Headcanon about one of my favourite duos : Kunikida and Dazai!
1- Kunikida makes Dazai's lunch and makes little notes in it
2- Dazai braid Kunikida's hair
3- Once Kunikida cried because he thought Dazai died and when Dazai came back Kunikida slapped him, hugged him but he was like "I didn't miss you but let me hug you"
4- Kunikida has written for his type of woman "is not Dazai" when he realised Dazai fit almost everything Kunikida wrote.
5- Dazai is born some mouths before Kunikida, so when Dazai pass his birthday, every question Kunikida ask (even the one who are like "where's the water?"), Dazai answer "You're too young to know"
6- Dazai tells every little drama to Kunikida each time he hears one
7- Kunikida always praises Dazai when he does something, like taking a bath, eating or just taking care of himself.
8- Kunikida is Dazai's n°1 hater but defender at the same time
9- Kunikida always remind Dazai to change his bandages
10- Dazai gasped and was frozen the first time Kunikida was sweet and not grumpy
11- Dazai learns new insults from Kunikida almost every week

16- Kunikida made Dazai promises to kill him if Kunikida change how he is. If Kunikida commits murders for his own pleasure and that there's no way to bring the old Kunikida back, Dazai will kill him.
17- Also, Dazai trust Kunikida a lot. He already did certain actions because Kunikida told him to do them, and he knew they weren't going to be bad actions
18- Kunikida always knows when Dazai is bad. Like, Dazai is a genius and all, but Kunikida always asks "Are you okay?" When Dazai doesn't feel great. Kunikida may well not ask how Dazai is doing for days, but when Dazai is really not well, he asks him. He has an instinct.
19- When Dazai is drunk, Kunikida watches Dazai's drink and holds it. And when Kunikida thinks Dazai drank enough, and he refuses to let him drink.
20- Dazai once got into a fight because someone was talking shit about Kunikida. Dazai threatened him to torture him until death if he talk bad about Kunikida again. Kunikida dragged Dazai away to not make it worse…

Asagiri, plz, if Dazai is chosen for the port mafia, make Kunikida sad and worried. Make him fight to get Dazai back. I miss their duo so much. I really want Dazai to feel that he's missed by people. Kunikida isn't even aware that one of the detectives will go to the port mafia, he was at the hospital at that time. I want when Kunikida learns that Dazai is gone, I want him to scream, to scream for the first time against all the detectives, even the most respected one. I want him to go get Dazai even if Fukuzawa forbade him. Why? Why would Kunikida do that ? Because in his ideal, no one suffers. I wish Ranpo would tell him about Dazai's suffering, I would like Kunikida to stand in Mori's way. Because he won't let Dazai get hurt by anyone. Dazai will finally feel like he has a place somewhere. Someone is waiting for him. That he has his place in the agency. Even if I want the whole agency to be worried, I would like Kunikida to be the major character to be concerned abt Dazai. And maybe we'll learn more abt Kunikida's backstory.

Headcanon about my favorite duo in BSD : Ranpo and Yosano !
1 - Their trust in each other is on another planet. Yosano can go so far as to put her life in danger being sure to survive if Ranpo said she would survive.
2 - Yosano has always been feminist, as far as she remembers. So she always talked about her ideas of equality etc to Ranpo, and since Ranpo was a mama's boy, he agreed. Which made her happy to find a boy who was respectful like Ranpo.
3 - Yosano used to have a lot of nightmares of the war when she was younger, Ranpo even changed rooms to be with her to reassure her.
4 - Yosano once did a full face on Ranpo.
5 - They once exchanged their clothes. Ranpo was wearing Yosano's usual ouftit, and Yosano was wearing Ranpo's usual ouftit. It actually fits Yosano, but not for Ranpo…
6 - Ranpo bought her medical books when they were younger and she was coming out of the war, so she's not forced to rely on her ability.
7 - As long as Ranpo is not seriously injured, she refuses to torture him for healing. She just can't. She will heal him like a normal nurse would, and can't use her ability on him.
8 - Ranpo knows how to use makeup and take good pictures because Yosano force him.
9 - They both roast each other, public or not.
10 - Yosano used to rely on him a lot when she was younger. He was her savior, so she used to get stressed whenever he wasn't around. But it got better after a year, and she didn't rely on him that much.
11 - They know each other like the back of their hand, just like when Ranpo said "the danger arrive in 10 seconds", to give the other detectives time to hide before she arrives to ask who wants to accompany her for her purchases.
12 - They gossip like 294628 times a day
13 - Yosano explained medicine to Ranpo, and Ranpo said it's too confusing
14 - Both Yosano and Ranpo came to the conclusion that the agency is just a bunch of mentally ill persons
15 - Ranpo used to carry Yosano's bags. Don't think he enjoyed it
16 - Yes, Ranpo can give her his life, organs or whatever, but no, he won't give her his chips.

I bought Ranpo's ramune because Imma Ranpo kinnie.
I saw NO ONE talking about this scene in the season 4 opening.
Let me explain. Both of them are alone. There is not Fukuzawa or Dazai after them. They are both the only ones having this type of scene, and in their scenes, no one is with them. Like how they feel. Ranpo feels alone in this world he considers as filled with "monsters" he just can't understand. And Yosano felt alone in this war, because she was the reason it kept going, and she was alone facing it because no one understood.
Ranpo opens his eyes, while Yosano closes her eyes. During approximately the same period (I think I'm not sure), Ranpo's life started from total hell and went from heaven , while Yosano it's the opposite. And you can even see it from where they are positioned! Ranpo is at right while Yosano is at left.
Plus, it somehow strengthens their friendships. Because no one is there except them. It shows that, even though they are opposites they complement each other.
Or maybe I'm just overreacting the scene like those english teacher who overreact to what the writer means-

So huh basically I was thinking about who will be taken in the port mafia. And I know it may sound weird or anything but this can be Ranpo. I know that he will refuse working with the port mafia, but Fukuzawa never said "Don't take Ranpo". Mori has the right to take Ranpo away, and Fukuzawa couldn't have a word to say, and since Ranpo obey to what Fukuzawa told him (most of the times…)
First, Ranpo is the pillar of the agency, one of the main reasons why it is still standing. The mafia is the enemy of the ADA, what could be better than taking the pillar and the very reason for its success for yourself ? Firstly, his intelligence can be used in the mafia, but also his experience in the ADA. He was the first person to work there with Fukuzawa. The mafia may also very well threaten Ranpo to cooperate (like threatening to harm Yosano, Fukuzawa or anyone). This will be destabilizing for the ADA, and will only help the situation of the mafia.
Those are my 3 AM thoughts…

Making a BSD characters (without drawing bc I suck at it) based on real authors : Victor Hugo !
I NEED him in bsd. He fought for human rights, for the abolition of the death penalty, for poor people, for children who were forced to work young, for women and single moms (who were treated as h0es if their husband left them)… He stood up to the king and wasn't afraid to say it. He even asked for a painter to represent Napoleon (the king) as a fearful bird fleeing from Victor Hugo.
- Victor Hugo would join the ADA, and this is for sure. But first, he won't be a very nice person… Not necessarily in the port mafia, but probably in some things as bad. Because before being so kind and courageous, Victor Hugo was far-right, so he agreed with what Napoleon said. But he changed and he became a nicer person, and he helped many people.
- In the BSD universe, Victor changed after seeing someone dying in front of him. A little boy named Gavroche (Gavroche is a little boy in one of his books). Gavroche was singing the song "It's Voltaire's fault", before dying. It was something that changed the way Victor saw things, and he decided that no one deserved this. (This is not how the IRL Victor Hugo changed)
- He's someone very brave and courageous. He's not scared of dying or whatever.
- He will be in his twenties
- He will try to teach Kyoka and Atsushi things. Like maths, science ect. The IRL Victor Hugo wanted the education to be free, so it won't be surprising if he teaches kids that couldn't have access to school/education.
- He always hums the song Gavroche sang before he died.
- He will TOTALLY be against Mori, he will hate him for sure. He can't support these types of people.
- He will be serious and calm, but he will always have a gentle smile on his face.
- He will, randomly, buy things for the people in need (food, drink ect…)
- He will love creating little stories in his head, and he will share them with Ranpo and Yosano.
- His ability would be "Wretched" (One of his most famous books.) This will allow him to curse someone. (Because the people in this book have very very bad life. Jean Valjean, Fantine… They're not cursed, but it felt like they were.)
- He will get along with Kunikida and Fukuzawa
- Victor will remind Dazai of Oda
- He will totally be called bby by the fandom-
- His birthday is the 26th of February

Headcanon about Dazai because why not ??
1 - Dazai once tried to sell Kunikida's notebook for 500$, because this man is broke.
2 - Dazai knows Kunikida's notebook by heart, he can even recite it.
3 - Dazai often dream about Odasaku, and how things could have been very different if Dazai arrived earlier.
4 - Dazai actually ignores that Ranpo knows Odasaku, and Ranpo never tells him because he genuinely feels guilty.
5 - Dazai really wants to be a father figure for Atsushi, or at least a brother figure. Because he wants to know how it feels to be proud, even if he needs to be proud of someone else.
6 - Dazai is tried to steal Fukuzawa's wallet.
7 - When he was young, Dazai dissected the insects he killed
8 - He's scared of dogs and spiders, but he's too proud to admit it.
9 - Dazai also sucks at offering gifts, he always says "Why do I need to offer you a gift ? I'm already the best one you can have."

11 - The reason Dazai became attached to Kunikida was because he and Oda share the same sense of justice, and neither Oda, neither Kunikida wants to see anyone die because/in front of them.

Headcanon about my favorites BSD characters (and also my highest kin) : Ranpo Edogawa.
1 - No one in the ADA want to watch a movie with him, he always end up spoiling everything and say "It was too easy to guess, why don't you understand?"
2 - He hates dark chocolate, he thinks it's not sweet enough. That's why as soon as we offer him some, he gives them to Fukuzawa, Yosano or Kunikida.
3 - He often blames things on others. Is there no more candy? He will blame Dazai. Even if he knows that it's bad, he's used to doing it, so the ADA just don't care anymore.
4 - He always smells like chocolate or candy, which is one of the reasons why Atsushi can always find Ranpo when the detective is lost.
5 - He dislikes being complimented on his physique. Because for him, the physical does not create a detective, and will prefer to be complimented on his intelligence.
6 - He actually dislikes playing chess, except if there's something to win (Like chocolate, candy…)
7 - During the important events, while everyone in the ADA drinks wine except minors, Ranpo drinks his ramune in silence.
8 - When he was still in his police academy, he blew up a computer in technology because a friend bet him that he wouldn't be able to. But none of these two expected the computer to ACTUALLY blow up...
9 - No one in the ADA saw him cry. He said "Everyone relies on me, if I cry, there's no hope."
10 - Dazai is actually surprised that Ranpo still has hope for humanity. I mean, Ranpo knows EVERYONE's backstory. He knows how cruel humans are, and they were even cruel to him. It's something Dazai could never understand..
11 - He's actually good with kids, but since he's not patient with them.
12 - Ranpo is like shazam, when someone doesn't know the song, they ask him and he gives the titles. Even if sometimes he gives the wrong titles on purpose because he likes seeing them annoyed.
13 - Someone already told him "I love you but you're autistic" and the person walked away.
14 - The weirdest insult he received was "your mother drinks pasta water". And the person was really serious. Ranpo just ended up laughing.
15 - When he was still in school, Ranpo commented on every argument. For example, a girl and a boy were arguing, the boy told the girl "b*tch", then Ranpo would say to the girl "he insulted you of a b*tch" even if she heard it correctly.
16 - Due to that, his teacher once asked him if he wanted to be a journalist. He answered "No, why ?", and the teacher told him "Because even if there's nothing to say, you still talk"
17 - He and his mother were very close, and they understood each other. He really felt like he was understood by her, and when she died, he called her number constantly hoping that one day she would pick up. He was in denial for a very long time. But he could only hear his mother's voice through the answering machine. He called her number to hear he voice, even with the answering machine, when he didn't feel great.
18 - Ranpo once started a fight with someone who said "I want to have ADHD and autism so bad"
19 - He once made his P.E teacher cry, but she deserved it so he don't feel guilty right now.
20 - Ranpo is BAD for gifts. Like, really. He's always stressed when someone's birthday is close or when it's Christmas.

The recent bsd chapter is crazy good and I never would have expected Asagiri to take a sudden plot twist relating to how everything has a connection in the story. Asagiri is cooking
I think it is hilarious that when Dazai left his little villain perch in the mafia, he couldn’t quite shake the innate urge to be a menace and his only outlet is tormenting select coworkers at the ADA (Kunikida) to feed the evil little monster at the back of his mind that does a delighted little victory dance every time he manages to make Kunikida’s blood pressure rise and it is hilarious to me that he actually gets twitchy when he can’t get a rise out of Kunikida and starts foaming at the mouth bc he needs his evil fix for the day
kunikida had the most wild time in dazai’s entrance exam like imagine being under the stress of working at a dangerous detective agency AND doing math tutoring at the tender sensitive age of 20 years old and suddenly your boss throws a guy at you who is the BIGGEST walking red flag and has no recorded background or history and just happened to meet a really important government guy at a bar and land a job at your workplace and is obsessed with suicide and tries to kill himself at work and has detailed knowledge of the human organ trafficking business and your boss is like “well, he’s your problem now, if he gives you bad vibes just shoot him in the head if not I want to know if you’d recommend him as our newest employee. okay bye”
