Last time, on Kisame Week 2024

Hidan and Deidara fucked up.

And now the conclusion:

Panel 1: Kisame hunches over and thinks hard about the pirate captain's question. He has a dark green thought bubble around him. It's full of equations and formulas and a grid and other thinking hard meme stuff. In the background, Sasori and Kakuzu deal with Hidan and Deidara. Sasori is in full puppet mode ready to fight the pirates. Kakuzu extends his arms to throttle Deidara and Hidan. Sasori: "I'll go defend the ship. FOR THE PRECIOUS FUCKING SECURITY DEPOSIT." // Kakuzu: "I'LL HOLD THE IDIOTS." //// Panel 2: Kisame looks up. Kisame: "oh wait!"

Kisame holds one hand over his heart and the other out in front of him. Hearts and star bursts radiate around him. Kisame's face is scrunched up with tender emotion. Kisame: "a pirate's favorite letter!" "*sniff*" "it be the sea."

The Pirate Captain takes off his hat and holds it against his breast over his heart. His eyes shine. His crew stand just behind him with tears in their eyes. One blows their nose in a pink hanky. Two have their arms around one another's shoulders. Captain: "Aye, lad." *sniff* "That it be."

Kisame and the Pirate Captain stand side by side on the stern of the Akatsuki ship. Their arms are around each other's shoulders. Their backs are to us, and they look out over the vast ocean. In the background, Kakuzu, Sasori, Hidan, and Deidara are in a dingy. They face Samehada in the form of a giant sea monster. Deidara and Hidan are tied up with ropes. Sasori bends over Deidara, who is crying in fear. Kakuzu hoists Hidan over his head to lob him into Samehada's open mouth. Hidan: "wait Kakuzu srsly KAKUZU WAIT"

It's time for my final entry for Kisame Week 2024! It's Day 6 @kisames-corner

Prompt: The Shape of Water

Kisame answers the pirate captain's question. The water gives him its greatest gift: friendship.

(Don't worry about that other stuff in the background)

The Akatsuki's ship has met a pirate ship. In a small panel on the right, the pirate captain greets them. Captain: "Avast ye lubbers! We be pirates! Answer our questions, and we'll let ye go free. Get them wrong, and we'll send ye down to Davey Jones' Locker! (that means we kill you.)" // In a small panel on the left, Sasori and Deidara watch the newcomers. Deidara is surprised while Sasori is bored.

The pirate captain holds up one finger. Captain: "Question one! WHAT is a pirate's favorite chemical element?" // Deidara thinks hard and Sasori is bored. Itachi and Kisame watch with mild amusement.

Sasori: "...argon" // Deidara: [enthusiastic and loud] "ARRRRR-gon!" // The pirates and their captain nod approvingly at the answer. One claps. // Sasori: [in an aside] "Itachi please tell me this is genjutsu." // Itachi: [giggling] "sorry, no" // Sasori: "fml" // Hidan and Kakuzu are in the background. Hidan tugs Kakuzu towards the scene. Hidan: "Kakuzu! Real pirates!" // Kakuzu: "no."

Kisame Week 2024 continues again @kisames-corner with Day 4! (Yes it's September. We will not mention this fact again.)

Prompt: Pirates

What better day for it than International Talk Like a Pirate Day.

Are the Akatsuki up to the task of a pirate quiz? Will Sasori's last nerve survive this much idiocy? Will Hidan get to see the 'real pirates' up close? The world may never know.

Hoshigaki Kisame from Naruto lying in a hammock on an old timey ship below deck. Beneath him is another hammock with a dressed up skeleton in it. Kisame's saying to the skeleton "...and that's how I learned why I should always pack plenty of laxatives."

Kisame Week 2024 continues @kisames-corner and here's my thing for Day 3! We will not discuss what day it actually is.

Prompt: Two can keep a secret if one of them is dead

The Akatsuki crew found this skeleton in an old barrel on the orlop deck. Hidan insisted on keeping it and Deidara insisted on decorating it as a mascot. Konan insisted they get rid of that biohazard. Now.

But when the lads started pouring out their problems to "Ol' Bonesy" instead of her, she decided to let this one slide.

It's Kisame Week 2024! @kisames-corner I'm actually posting something on time!!! 🥲🎉🥳

Day 1 - Neon Lights

Kisame and the rest of the Akatsuki are taking some time off and going on an adventure. On a ship! A ship adventure!

And they're starting off with a bang, sailing under the Southern Lights!

Edit: I brightened the image a little because woooah it looks way darker on a phone screen than it does on my monitor 😅 Now you can actually see Kisame better
