Selina helps her recover physically/emotionally, all while not realizing that Holly's doing the same to her. Holly becomes a bright sister-figure and encourages Selina to be more optimistic and have fun.
Let's see how Selina often neglects herself if it's for Holly's sake; how she wants to see her grow up better than she did, have better chances for normalcy.
