THE BEST THING MARVEL HAS EVER MADE
I walked out of the theatre way too obsessed with these two (three if you count alpine)
Avengers Tower Fics are so back y’all
I just want u to know that I’m not sorry
Also, why everybody hate that he pulled out a gun in the battle?! Like; Are we gonna forget the time Steve Rogers put 4 granadesinto a tank and let it explode (also w people inside)? Yeah yeah yeah, i know trhat they were nazis blah blah blah, but what about Black Widow? She also shooted and killed people w guns, and sometimes it wasn’t always only the “bad ones. But when John do, it’s bad, and When Steve kill the person, it’s allright? Like why? Bc he (Steve) is sexier or what???
There is SO MANY another reasons, some of them also makes sense, but no, we will hate him forsomething stupid like THIS!
this is the reason why people think fandoms are stupid. Hey! U can hate whoever u want (from the characters, not from the actors ofc) but please, please, PLEASE be fair when u are doing.
This fandom is so f-ing hypocrite. Just gross. Avengers kill people, y'all cheer and John kills the murderer who killed his best friend suddenly he's a bad guy. Go screw yourself!
4.) John has no respect for his power
Okay, in this time I just more and more understand the quote from Dr. Erskine, when he said;, A strong man, who has known power all his life, may loose respect for that power. But a weak manknows walue of strengt, and knows... compassion”
That’s the reason why Steve and Sam deserves the shield. they both were, at some point, the weak ones. Steve because of his physic before serum was daily teased and beaten, and Sam... Well, I mean - he is black (SJW here after 3... 2... 1...) and he is living in America. Do I need to say more?
But John no. He was just born with all privileges of a white, straight man in america 21. century. I’m pretty sure that he has no idea how it is, to being teased or underestimated just in case of your body/skin tone. Okay, that is one thing, and let’s be honest, it may wouldn’t be that BIG problem if he was just another America army soldier - okay, he would be just another strong white dick. But no when he is... when he has that shield, he’s no more just “another white dick”, he’s someone everybody is looking up on. What consequences it could has, if children will see HIM as Capt... I just can’t say it! He is NOT Cap. America!!!
anyway, he just doesn’t deserve the shield.
5.) He hasn’t compassion
Again I will take inspiration from the quote above. Both, Sam and Bucky (I almost have written Steve, I really need to stop reading so much stucky ff ;) had compassion for Karli and understood that she is just trying to help to the people in the camps. The way that she found to do it is another thing, but they understand that she is trying to help. And they have compassion with the people for who she does this.
But John no. For him, it’s just another mission, another person who he needs to fight. Why? Doesn’t matter, Government wants to. And when we are speaking about government...
6.) Just a soldier.
Steve Rogers always had doubts. And he wasn’t afraid to say them. When something was aginst his personal morals, he just refused to do it (ehm ehm Sokovia Accords). Because he understood that Captain America isn’t suposed to be ,,just a soldier”, he is supposed to be a person who will fight evil and discrimination. Even if it means to be at the “bad sideof the history”, he wasn’t afraid to do that and he was NEVER a government’s toy.
But no John Walker. John just no. He looks at everything like it’s just another mission, and has no quoestions. Never doubts. Never wondering if it’s againts he thinksit’s right. No, it’s just amission and his task is to fullfill it. And that makes him a perfect soldier, I agree, but to be honest?
For me it’s just a another reason why the shield doesn’t belongs to him.
please note: i do not have anything against wyatt russell. i just want to see john walker get beat up by sam, bucky and sharon <3
Keep reading
Yeah, therapy is Nice, but u know what is Faster and cheaper?
Well, again; I’m not a poet, but after I saw the second episode of #tfatws I just can’t hold back:
Twinkle twinkle battlestar, oh no wait, please stop the car
Shield doesn’t belong to you I think you already knew
Twinkle twinkle battlestar, You aren’t a hero at all
Because I just really like that passion with what we hate John Walker. I think - it’s awesome that even if we (mcu fandom) have diferent opinions on some things, we all united in opinion that John Walker doesn’t deserve to be Captain America. I love you all! I’m happy that we hate the same things!
this blog is now anti-John Walker. I hate everyone who don’t respect Steve Rogers’ legacy with the same passion!
Well, I mean... I agree. With all my hate and direspect for John Walker, I’m sincerely happy for Wyatt Russell to be in MARVEL and wish him almost that popularity that in these times have Sebastian Stan or Anthony Mackie 💖💖💖
I juts... ca’t agree more. I’m always searching for the good thing in every person and/or situation that i’ll find, but to be honest... I hate John Walker. with all my heart and soul. Oh God, i almost hate him so much that i do for the russos. And i tought that’s not even possible for me, but.... Aghr!!! Tha’s not even direspect for Captain America (Steve Rogers), it's spitting on his legacy!
plus some wise words I once heard from one co-nerd (i don’t remeber name, I’m so sorry): You’re not real MARVELfan unless u hate MARVEL.
1. “Ever jump on a grenade?” “Yeah, I actually have a special helmet for that!” Steve used his body. Steve expected to sacrifice his life when he jumped on that bomb, even when he was tiny and sick. Walker has high tech shit and a press crew following him around. It’s not remotely the same thing.
2. He’s the perfect American man. He’s hot, strong, perfectly athletic, blonde, and presumably straight. Steve Rogers was not like that when he was chosen to be Captain America. He wasn’t wildly attractive, he wasn’t already a war vet, he wasn’t even healthy for gods sakes. He was good, is what he was. That’s what makes Captain America, nothing else.
3. “I never new Steve Rogers, but he’s like a brother to me.” Bullshit. Bull. Shit. You didn’t know him. You never met that man once, he didn’t even know your name. Steve chose Sam as Cap, not you! You have no right to go on national television and proclaim that to the world.
4. He called Bucky an asset, just like Hydra did. Need I say more?
5. He canceled Bucky’s regular therapy because he needed his strength in battle. Steve Rogers never would have done that. He would have valued Bucky’s mental health over everything, he proved that when he showed Bucky Wakanda and help him regain his memories.
6. Sam and Bucky don’t like him. I trust their judgement.
7. His friend gave himself a superhero name. My dude. No.
There are many other reasons, these are just the ones I could come up with in a short amount of time. All in all, we despise John Walker wholly and completely.
“keep it- KEEP IT TIGHT. keep it TOGETHER. WALKER 🫵”
Thunderbolts* proving it really was the friends they made along the way
I love them dearly <3
Good Lord the way Sam amd Bucky's heart broke in disappointment when John murdered a man with the shield.Uff.
John Walker in The Falcon And The Winter Soldier.
Ok but Sam this episode was just incredible.
Consistently, when faced with difficult situations where conflict is easy, he chooses to communicate. This is something even Steve didn't do all the time (Civil War, or even when he meets himself in Endgame)--but Sam chooses to talk things through and deescalate. To try to understand the other party. To make peace.
When Walker shows up, trying to kill Karli and take Zemo, Sam says no. Karli is vulnerable and struggling with grief, and is fighting against a world that seems hell-bent on keeping her down; Sam understands her struggle and wants to talk her through it. To counsel her.
And that's because Sam is a counselor, but also because he's just a very empathetic person. He cares about people. He cares about Bucky even when Bucky has been harsh towards him (and Bucky begins to soften because of this); he cares about Sharon despite Sharon's bitterness (and Sharon helps them because of this); he cares about Karli despite her crimes and how dangerous she is (and she listens to him because of this). We are shown time and time again that Sam has a remarkable ability to unite people. To bring healing within the pain.
It's Walker, the gun hiding behind the shield, who consistently ruins this. He's angry, arrogant, and divisive, and he knows that he's not as effective as Sam, but he doesn't care. He wants what he wants, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to get it. His reckless actions ultimately end in the death of Lemar and one of the Flag Smashers. If he had listened to Sam, if he had waited, that could have been avoided; but he is one of only two characters who doesn't listen to Sam, who won't trust that Sam knows what he's doing. Even Lemar, Walker's partner, is willing to follow Sam's plan. The only other character that undercuts Sam's plans is Zemo.
Zemo does this because he has an alternate agenda, which we as the audience have been given glimpses into but don't fully understand. But Walker's agenda is clear. He wants to be the top dog. He wants people to respect him, to follow (read: obey) him, to think of him as Captain America. But no one does this. And his lax morals combine with his rage and ambition and lead him to take the super soldier serum. He's doing everything he can to outpace Sam, and in doing so, he bloodies and destroys the legacy he was supposed to uphold.
But Sam has never needed the serum. Sam, like Walker, was a soldier. Now, he's just a man, who knows how to fight. But unlike Walker, he also knows how to lay down his arms. He knows when to listen instead of shouting orders. He knows when to make peace instead of war. He's more than just a soldier, and that's why he doesn't need the serum, or the shield, to lead, to be respected, and to do what's right.
Because Sam Wilson is a good man.
Thunderbolts is better than the OG avengers and I think there’s a couple reasons for that. I know I’m stoking the fires with that one, but as an enormous fan of Avengers 2012 I always wanted something more from them.
Avengers 2012 was a true ensemble movie but its leaders, Steve and Tony, were defined by their conflict. Their differing personalities. The formation of the team was the point and their instability as individuals second to that. They had to get over each other to work together.
Thunderbolts isn’t really an ensemble movie. There’s an ensemble in it, but it’s about Yelena and her struggles with her mental health- her search for a solution to her depression and grief and trauma. So instead of getting over the differences of her teammates, it’s about wanting them around- learning to find the good and accept the bad. To prop one another up and find connection.
There’s also something distinctly un-masculine about Thunderbolts. I say un-masculine because it’s just not Joss Whedon’s Avengers. It’s not gendered in that way. It’s not about how sexy Black widow is when she kills a man, or the dick measuring contest between Steve and Tony- their dysfunctions and savior complexes.
The avengers are built on sacrifice- how much are you willing to sacrifice to keep humanity safe? The thunderbolts are once again built on that connection but they’re also built on their guilt and desire to be better people, not only for their loved ones but for themselves.
They also defer to Yelena. John does the “I’m the most experienced guy of course I’m the leader” bit and then almost immediately defers to Yelena later in that sequence even if he’s reluctant at first. The plan only works if you wait for me. You can see later in that scene when Bob is shot, John waits for Yelena’s call on whether to leave or do something about Bob in that moment. There are obviously times where they don’t defer to her, this is a group of people still getting to know and trust one another. They work together instead of despite each other.
They come to see her as someone to follow because they see her empathy, her ability to wait and watch and assess, and also her insane plans! Like calls to like but they see a team leader in her without her vying for it.
Idk I just love this movie. I have low hopes marvel will be able to strike lightning twice but I really hope they can. I’ve missed it.
WE ARE AT IT AGAIN YEHHAWWW
