Adding on to this, getting exercise shouldn’t be something associated foremost with weight loss at all. Being active is important for everyone, regardless of weight or body shape or anything like that. I’ve got hypertension, and one of the ways I stay safe and not have my body freak out on me is by getting some exercise (although I should probably be doing it more often) Sometimes it’s just taking 5 or 10 minute walk if that’s all my schedule can manage, but it’s enough to keep things regulated.
Working out isn’t just for the sake of being strong or looking fit, and the bottom line for any kind of workout should be to be healthy and happy. And to reiterate from potato-cat, “healthy” is not one size fits all.
Me: Exercise does not cause weight loss. This is a fact that has been demonstrated so robustly in research that even doctors, who hate and fear evidence, are grudgingly starting to admit this.
Someone reading that post: Cool, but have you considered that exercise leads to weight loss?
