Many people don’t know this, but the archive is actually open to all type of fanworks, fanfic is just the predominant one because they don’t host images directly within the servers, which means you need to use an external image host - since my friend had the same problem I am now doing a ✨public service announcement✨ here’s a tutorial for anyone wondering how to upload art on ao3! 🫡

The first thing you want to do is find an image host website! This is the one I always use, but it is in French, so if you prefer, you can probably find some in English by searching up "free image hosting"

The images you sent there are only visible if you have the exact link, so no worries about random people seeing it! For anyone who doesn’t want to bother finding a different website, here’s how to use the one I linked: you’ll want to click on the "Parcourir" button, and then select the picture of your choice, when that’s done, you can click on the big "valider" button! Once your image is hosted, they’ll offer you different version of the link, you want to grab the one in the second row, which will be your direct image link.

Next, in ao3, you want to paste this template,

add the link to it, and normally your art should be good to go!! (Note: DONT remove the quotation marks!)
