it's an old ( kinda ??? i drew it in july when i was in yerevan ) drawing buuut i remembered about it today hehe so. here's seb & omi & maro aka troublemakers as borzoi in scarves !!! this is an illustration for a lil fic that i wrote but it's in russian ... so just look at the drawing i guess .........
i want to talk about maro's friendship with sebastian and ominis . and a little about her relationships with my other hl character who was created by accident lmao
they became very close during seb's "adventures". i think seb liked that maro is very naive and always helping her friends bc she's very loyal. also sebastian reminded maro of her older brother masis because of freckles and dark hair. they have natural siblings dynamic with all this teasing and playful fights-duels. but still maro wouldn't hesitate to die for him. and she mean it truly.
ominis at first thinks that she's kinda stupid and too careless. it's getting worse because she's bad at english and it's hard for her to properly understand what ominis is so angry about and he thought she's just being petty and playing dumb. but then i think omi kinda became attached to her bc she tries so much to study and be a good friend and blablabla. with ominis her dynamic is more calm: maro just tries to keep him company and be less annoying. it's kinda like she behaves with her older sister zabel. but omi allows her to hug him for a long time and peck him on the cheeks.
so they all became friends but maro still spends a lot of time with girls: imelda, poppy and natty.
at the end of the year maro is broken mentally. all the deaths and grief that occurred is really driving her crazy. so she's starting to feel more comfortable around seb and omi than around girls who have different experience with this accursed 5th year. so at the end of the year she and the boys are best friends.
also. at 6th year maro is befriending my other oc valeri, who is 7th year ravenclaw. they knew each other before but never were close. then boom — they're on the same potions detention. they start to hang out and talk a lot and don't forget how tactile maro is. omi and seb are arguing and fighting a lot bc of unresolved tension lmao that's why maro feel more at ease with valeri. so valeri kinda got a crush at maro ... and it's a long story but they start to date and everything. but during this time maro understands that she's not capable of loving someone romantically. poor leri what can i say .....
so !! i've got a lot of thoughts about maro and her relationships with other characters but it's very hard for me to write about it like this for some reason especially in english ... but i think i'll post something about maro and valeri !!! i love them even though they're kinda tragic. if you got any questions you can ask it !!!!!!! I would love to answer it

i don't know why but i wanted to draw all of them. and idk why i chose this semi-realistic style ... i'm a menace to myself. anyway i like how each drawing looks, but together they looks So weird 😭😭😭 because the style of the drawings jumps back and forth ... and it annoys me a bit too much .........
i don't want to explain all of them rn, because it will be toooooo much text. maybe i'll make a post about it later.

so. i drew some maro's outfits from different times of her life.
and i commented on all the outfits 😭
5th year outfit is just uniform, but maro made some changes as you see. i think she really likes wearing skirts without all that shirts and pants under them ( there's at least two layers under outerwear in armenian taraz ). but she still likes wearing colorful socks ( gulpa ) and belt ( honjang ). also ! i didn't draw it here, but maro have a big collection of scarves and loves to wear them during cold weather.
the outfit of the summer after 6th year is taraz. i don't think i drew it right, but i tried at least lmao. i had a little trouble here, because maro is western armenian and she lived most of her life in there, but now she's in erivan, in eastern armenia. eastern taraz have a lot of differences from western. and i think maro were struggling with all that erivan fashion and rules of clothing. so she have some weird combination of western and eastern taraz. plus the fact that i only have a moderate understanding of the history of taraz ........ sadly. also her hair is growing longer !!
the last outfit is some mix of taraz and european clothes. she still likes wearing gulpa and honjang and now she wears an apron ( mezar ) for not only practical but also sentimental reasons hehe. mezar is a significant part of western taraz, but maro did not wear it in erivan because it wasn't that popular there. and she wears some cool european boots lmao. and she cut her hair short, because she no longer lives in armenia and could do it.
um. yeah i love her and that's why i wrote that much about her clothes 😭😭😭 again. if you read all of that. Thank you.
so. um. i wanted to post something about my mc. but i realized i need to Explain her a little. even if my english is wonky. even if no one besides me will like her. i'm willing to sacrifice my pride lmao ( pls don't beat the shit out of me because of misspelling or weird use of words or horrendous grammary. i'm silly your honor )

about blood status ! i believe she doesn't really know about all that stuff. in my head magic armenia is tied together with non-magic one, because there's no magic school and communities are small and local. wizards live like muggles, live side by side with them. therefore blood of her family is so mixed, that i can't even say is she half-blood or what.
and she doesn't know english very well. her handwriting is in block letters and it's stiff and sloppy. often when she's yapping about something she switches to her mother tongue without realizing it. and then she tries to translate her rant, but fails miserably lmao. that's why she asks her friends for help with textbooks in classes and why she hates potions ( she doesn't know all that terminology for ingredients )
during the first days at hogwarts she was a little shy, but quickly became friend with poppy and natty. then she beat the shit out of sebastian in the duel and felt Very confident because of everyone's vivid reaction, so she started to befriend every person in this school lol. she's very tactile and kinda touch-starved even though she always pissed her siblings off with the need to touch and hug and peck Everyone ( but they always let her do it )
also. she's aroace. she really loves her friends, but she do not understand ( and need ) romantic love and relationshisp. i mean, she doesn't really know she's aroace she live in 19 century lmao. but not once in her live she fell in love
she have 5 siblings: two oldest siblings zabel and levon, older siblings lilith and masis and smol sis asthik ( who's a menace to society. ) she loves them to death, but in the summer after 5th year there was a huge drama about levon and maro was Fighting for him with zabel ( who's a homophobic bitch, but i'm the one who made her like this so i'm not shitting her 😭 )
and they lived in constantinople, but when father died they moved to erivan, hometown of their mother. after this she have some kind of prophecies about something bad happening with their family and maro being their "savior". that's why maro ended up in hogwarts, like it's the only school except koldovstoretz that her mother know about. and there's some relatives in england, who left erivan when it became part of russian empire in 1829 ( i think ??? i'm not too familiar with dates, but i want this story to work ... )
also her patronus was the van cat ( or vana katu, it's a landrace of cats found around lake van ) like her father's. but she doesn't cast patronus often so she found out that her patronus has changed to the borzoi at 6th year. her neighbor from a wealthy family bred borzoi from russian empire and she fell in love with these dogs from the very first time she saw them. it's kind of a symbol of her homesickness and yearning for family, for her life in erivan.
so. um. if you read all that text above. thank you. i really want to be in fandom and to show my maro to everyone 🤲 i will post arts with her. i guess ........ and i really want to draw other people's characters !!! i just like the vibes in here lol

/sad sigh/ I decided not to participate in the #gauntingsalloween anymore. I can't handle it physically. I work a lot, and I don't have enough time for such intense drawing. From lack of sleep, my brain has already started to glitch, I think (I've never experienced this before, it was scary and disturbing), and it took me two days to more or less recover. It would have been great to do something like this, but I can't handle such events. Thanks to everyone for the support!

day 3 - vampire and day 12 - pumpkin. a bit late, but I had a lot of work. due to titanic fatigue, I had to abandon the version with dancing. however, maybe I will be able to finish drawing this version later. I'm terrible with color, yes, but I've decided to challenge it sometimes. and again fanart for my favorite ff. the link to it can be found in one of the posts below, I have already drawn for it. oh, here comes day eight - merfolk! as i promised, something special for this day.
this art is an illustration for a fanfic by @gian-blackbell on the same topic. now her fanfic can only be read in Russian, but later it will be released in English translation (both versions can be found on AO3).
this art is a big reference to the famous painting by Viktor Vasnetsov "Alyonushka" (the idea belongs to @gian-blackbell)

it was decided to make in this theme not a classic mermaid, but a mermaid from Slavic mythology. i adore Slavic mythology! drowned women become mermaids there. gloomy! but like a second life for the unfortunate.
i adore how unnatural the wreath of wildflowers looks in this autumn atmosphere. when everything withers and dies, the flowers (sebastian's feelings that he put into this wreath) are still alive. alive on the non-living body of his lover.
i feel very insecure with color. this work is a kind of step towards getting rid of the fear that makes me freeze at the color stage of drawing. i know that i'm not very good at it… but if i don't do anything, i won't learn anything, right?..

Hi! I combined the third day and the twelfth so that my work would correspond to my favorite Sebinis fanfic. So let's move on to the fourth day - death. There is no path darker than the path with closed eyes. (c) Flemeth, Dragon Age. This quote suits Sebastian perfectly. He craves power, and believes that he can find it in dark magic, naively believing that he can cope with this terrible, destructive knowledge. He thinks that he is smarter than others (we were all teenagers, sigh). And only when the most terrible of unforgivable curses flies from his lips, Sebastian's eyes open. Too bad it was death that helped him see the truth. I will probably skip the next few topics, because I do not really like them, but I can promise you something interesting for the day of "merfolk".>3
Day 2 of the challenge - werewolf. I had no ideas at all on how to play this theme in the Sebinis format, but I really love memes. Twilight is exactly what many associate with autumn. and Sebastian's cute werewolf hairstyle is a nod to 2010s furry culture. analogue of the Russian meme from twitter. i think i'm very funny! HAHA
Hi! (I'm so excited, omg!) First day of Gaunting Salloween! I don't know if I'll draw every day from the challenge, but I really want to participate. Doll. I really wanted to convey that Ominis is ready to give in to Sebastian in his plans. Voluntary acceptance of the Imperius - raised hands. Ominis gives in. He loves Sebastian, and this forces Gaunt to go for his friend. Ominis is a hostage of his feelings and affection for Sebastian. This controls him like a doll.
Anwell started playing Quidditch back in Koldovstvoretz. And although he had no ambitions to go into sports after school, his talent could not be ignored: he was an excellent flyer.
His excellent physical fitness is due not so much to exercise and activity, but to the fact that in Koldovstvoretz they fly not on brooms, but on trees (!), which requires much more energy expenditure.

When I'm sad, I draw my characters. Anwell is MC's brother. Before entering Hogwarts with his sister for the fifth year, Anwell studied at the Koldovstvoretz School of Witchcraft in the Russian Empire. This school is famous for its potion makers, who regularly participate in the world potion championship.
