Aphrodite isn't called Pandemos (of All People) so you can sit around and let the big names capitalise love and serve it only to those who can afford to pay past the persecution. Hermes isn't called Oeopolus (Shepherd) so you can sit around and let a bunch of power-hungry wolves lead a flock of influencable sheep. Apollo isn't called Paean (Healer) so you can sit around while wealthy corporations serve healthcare only to those who can afford not to die. Athena isn't called Ambulia (Counsellor) so you can sit around while the people are being fed propaganda against each other to divert them from the real enemy at the top. Dionysus isn't called Eleuthereus (the Liberator) so you can sit around while freedom is only granted to those whose skins have the acceptable colour while the others die in chains. Zeus isn't called Xenios (of the Foreigners) so you can sit around while the borders are closed to those who need it and only open to those who can give back the money.
I have found a writing that i truly think all hellenic polytheists should be required to read.
I was so moved that I had to write a thank you email immediately after I had processed everything.
These hardships of life were a gift, Lord Zeus is not a vengeful God who hates humanity (Though i’m sure those Zeus devotees out there already knew this)
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
If you want to read my takeaways please do read below the email I sent. This piece was truly inspiring and insightful.
This is the most in-your-face sign i have ever received in my time devoting myself to the Gods. I’ve gone to school here for two years, never have i seen any birds sit on that building (i’m a big bird watcher on campus), let alone like 30 giant vultures.
I see you Ares!! Our Gods are good :)
I know I don't talk much about my practice or worship much here as this blog is mostly just mental illness venting in a prettier format, but today I feel connected to my gods and that is a wonderful thing. To be able to hear the existentialism lectures in my philosophy class and know that I no longer can buy into such a way of thinking is lovely. I sit there like "this is interesting n all but my gods are here! I am not some abandoned spec of dust in this big universe!!"
So here is a digital thank you to my gods, for many things that I will never be able to adequately explain and express.
^^ i have a story for this funnily enough
so all my life i've told my parents that i'd never be a nurse cuz syringes and large amounts of blood loss in real time trigger me
now imagine their reaction when i ask for a caduceus necklace for christmas cause, hi Lord Hermes devotee here :3, i want it for worship purposes- hell it wasn't only them, it was my whole fuckin family (i live in a big family of nurses)
all of them almost in unison just go "are you going to be a nurse after all?"
KEEP IN MIND I ALSO ASKED FOR BOOKS ON GREEK MYTHOLOGY ALONGSIDE THE NECKLACE SO IDK HOW I COULD'VE MADE MY SEMI-CLOSETED HELPOL ASS ANY CLEARER
i obviously said no and they explained to me that it was a symbol of medicine and me being a pretty well versed in the mythos just got so damn confused and proceed to explain the confusion between asclepius's staff and hermes' caduceus to them :)
+ NYC has trash cans from the department of sanitation that have the caduceus on it and it gets to me a lot even though i use those trash cans as an indicator that Lord Hermes is with me (i sometimes feel like i hear his confusion whenever i pass by them)
+ the only medical center i know that uses asclepius' staff instead of the caduceus is an urgent care/hospice place that's in front of a highschool near my home
so ye i rage daily knowing that our government uses the wrong symbol for healthcare :,)
A little fun fact I love is that the reason why many hospitals and medical things have Hermes' staff thing on them, dispite him not being a medicines God, is simply because someone at some point mixed it up with the God of medicine (not Apollo) who's staff has only one snake and no ones fixed it for some reason.
HAPPY PRIDE FROM NATURE, WHATEVER DEITY(IES) YOU BELIEVE IN/PRAY TO/WHATEVER MAKES YOU HAPPY 😁😁😁😁
…. So I’m kinda really new to this whole Hellenistic polytheism thing in terms of actual worship. I know I can’t do much in terms of the traditional stuff because of where I live and my current situation, but for the last year when I’ve been sad over a breakup, I peeled a pomegranate with my bare hands.
Last time I did my little ritual, I talked to Persephone (idk if she heard me or not but it felt nice and a little less lonely) and told her that she made a lovely choice for fruit.
… that was a few months ago. I feel like she’s a pretty understanding person/goddess in knowing how much I can do right now, but I kinda feel a little bad that I haven’t done it since January (or so). I know it’s not pomegranate seeds, but I want to thank her for being patient with me (and also to like… not have a mental breakdown again).
I dunno what to do right now…
Any suggestions are welcome.
[...a son, of many shifts, blandly cunning, a robber, a cattle driver, a bringer of dreams, a watcher by night, a thief at the gates, one who was soon to show forth wonderful deeds among the deathless gods.]
Praise Lord Hermes by taking the time to write. In a journal, a blog, a notes app, anything. Just write.

I get to stay home today bc I'm sick!! The only bad thing is I LITERALLY HAVE MY MUSICAL TOMORROW. I can't be sick tomorrow aaahhhhhh- Well, time to pray to Apollo and ask for him to make me not be sick at least in time for musical!! (Even though I barely have anything to give him in return.)
aphrodite and the erotes are the biggest trans advocates you will ever meet
🌹— eros, god of love, shoots a golden arrow into the heart of others around you & their tongues will learn your name as it shifts, their hands will not let you go no matter how far you wander, they will look at you and you will be loved.
🔥 — himeros sees the shifting changes into who you know that you are & with a fiery kiss, you will be desired. you will be wanted. love ignites in the hearts & it burns & you will be loved.
🦋 — anteros sits beside you and cups your hand with theirs & whispers in your ear about how much you are loved by others. you cannot imagine the love inside the hearts of others. you are treasured. it goes forth from you & always, always it will return. you will be loved.
🌙 — hermaphroditus knew the only way to love fully was to love entirely & the body changed to meet their love. they invite you to drink of their pool & know that you are not alone, you’re more godlike than you know. you will be loved.
💋 — hedylogos knows every name that you’ve ever tried, every word you’ve used to describe yourself, every way that love can be said and he whispers it where you feel your weakest. he twists them around and puts roses into your hair and every word that has ever tried to hurt you falls apart. you will be loved.
🦢 — hymenaios sings of your love, holding his torch aloft to light your way. his voice blocks out the darkness and tells you to place one foot in front of the other & should you wish it, he will delight in your marriage — for he knows that you are worthy of love. you will be loved.
❤️🔥 — pothos sees the longing in your heart, the wishful ache to be loved and he wraps his wings around you and tells you of love. tells of how you will be known, how you will be desired, how you will be loved. and oh, you will be loved.
🐚 — and their beautiful mother, aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love who is adored by her children, looks at you and your transness and smiles. oh, she delights! for as eros shoots his arrow, she waits for you to see her. as anteros giggles, she is the smile in your cheeks. as hermaphroditus guides your hands to transformation, she cannot wait to meet you truly. as hedylogos wraps his tongue around barbed words, she fashions roses for you. as hymenaois sings, she dances and delights. as pothos speaks of your love & desire, she wraps her arms around you and holds you just the same. for she has a name, too, that describes her as him, a god of beauty and love. she, oh, this lovely goddess who holds the world enthralled with her beauty, she sees you and she knows you and oh, beloved, you are loved.

In misty meadows,
A shepherd walks,
Surrounded by sheep,
In despaired need,
Past mellow mountains,
And melancholic fields,
A newcomer joins,
Downy and grey,
In his arms,
A little lamb,
In his arms,
A lonely lamb,
In his arms,
A lovely lamb,
Much thanks to,
Merciful, patient pompaios.
he isnt the god of the sun, so dont worry abt it lol
this is my altar btw, sits between 2 book shelves
What do other worshippers of Apollo think/feel about having their altar somewhere that isn't in sunlight? It's probably not a big deal, but part of me feels a little bad and disappointed about it.
My current plans are on a shelf of a bookcase in my room, but it's kinda in a corner so it's always a little dark over there even if my light is on and the window is open with the sun shining through. There's not any other place with enough space for the things I'd like to have for an altar, and I just feel a little bad about the only spot I can put it being kinda dark and gloomy-feeling. Any suggestions, advice or input?
HELP THEM!!!
as a hellenic worshipper of apollo and a regressor this is so so so cute!!!
sleepy apollon kiddo
i think hypnos is one of the best gods for sleepy regressors, its always nice to be regresed ready for bed and just saying goodnight and falling asleep quickly sniffing the lavender by his altar, having the warm blanket embrace me while i have stuffies in my arms and drift to good dreams warm and safe <3
also i should add i will be starting to make DNI agere banners so if you have your gods/goddesses or patrons (no matter if ite hero worship or diety worship) i will make it for you ^^

This past Mother's Day has been another year of staring in the mirror wondering what could've been. It was heavy and unkind and exhausting. It was also the first Mother's Day of finally accepting and practicing my faith. I did a bit of research as we visited my mother-in-law and I snuggled the dog I came to call my sweet little girl. Not much came up in the line of searching for deities that could guide me through finally tackling years of repressed grief, but I found myself drawn time and time again to the thought of Hekate as I researched.
She is a deity I have been drawn to in the past. Her role of guidance of protection in The Rape of Persephone is something I always found comfort in. Magic is something I was pulled towards the first time I tried to come to terms with my faith in my teen years before unfortunately receding into myself again. Her reputation for taking in the strays is something I've resonated with growing up the black sheep of my family and my peers.
Now, perhaps a deity centered around motherhood would make more sense for most on this journey - and by all means, find who resonates and brings you comfort and progress. But, I find myself reflecting on my past with this long road and seeing all the bargains I tried to make, the promises to get myself right and be the best I can be. I see the way I take in those around me and care for them, protecting them the best I can and guiding them whenever possible. I find myself wiser and older for my experience despite my age. I find myself most at peace and able to explore my journey in the safety of night with the comfort of the moonlight.
Each person's journey with their faith is their own, and this is mine. I find comfort in my worship of Apollon, Persephone, and Hermes. I'm excited to work with Hekate through my journey, her torch keeping me warm and reminding me that I am not alone. The love of my deities fills me with love for myself and the patience to do this right and not rush my recovery.
Lord Apollo, god of medicine-
Please heal my tummy ache.
Dont get me wrong, I’m glad my advice filled posts are the ones that do the best, but I wish this community was more eager to share their love and experiences than to second guess themselves.
I wanna hear about what you did that made you smile today, or what new friend you made in the community. If you’re worrying over second guessing or not knowing, just breathe. I know this religion can seem daunting, but truly, it’s so full of love and I wish there was more sharing on that fact.
So feel free to share some fun things about your practice below!
Feedback on Xournal++: I love the customizable pages, the handwriting is super comfortable and the ability to save in pdf is super handy, the file is quite light too
i had some trouble setting up the plugins to make up the keybinds, and the pen display is a little buggy, but i think the final result is quite worth the tiny struggles.
This will be specially useful with to the image insert tool, i can import tarot card images for my studies, create hand drawn mood boards and import some little arts to decor each book!
I'll for sure have one file for my grimoire and one shadow book for devotion work, but there are infinite possibilities: dream journal, tarot notebook, recipes book, herb notes, spellcraft, and each can have their own covers!
If any Witch out there wants the plugins I'm using for xournal++ just DM me and I'll send your way, this tool has a lot of potential for people like us!
Posted in a community but wanted to ask my followers as well:
I feel like keeping a digital Grimoire would be easier for me than a traditional, physical one (which i own, but i rarely feel the desire/patience/comfort to write on it)
My computer is my safe nobody else has access to, plus i own a display tablet that makes it easy to handwrite, so would anyone out there have journal app recommendations?
What I'm looking for is a Windows app, stylus compatible, that has handwriting/doodling features and AI free if possible!
Atm I'm testing xournal++ but i find the user experience a little bad (a shame, bc it checks all my boxes above in terms of journalling)
If you have an app/know of something interesting please comment or reblog, I'd love to know!
May the Gods bless you day/night! ✨
Recently i came across a beautiful game that had me questioning a few things. When learning tarot i always stuck heavily with books' and instructions' help, a considerable amount instead of pure intuition (but of course there were some, or else it wouldn't be tarot). Other than that, i also kept constantly in mind that tarot was purely therapeutical and guidance rather than fortune telling, as many wiser Witches taught me.
This game however, showed me a completely different vision on how to read the cards, with very simple yet effective spreads and much more confident interpretations. I also have strong reasons to believe this is Hekate's idea.
TL;DR: I wanna try fortune telling instead of therapeutic tarot
Edit: i figure out some of my doubts and uncertainties, see reblogs!
Confidence, i think it's the keyword. When i started this blog, even if i wanted to stick with the guidance tips tarot i was taught, many people came to me asking things about their future and not much insights about themselves, and that made me so nervous because, obviously, i didn't want to make a wild, ambicious prediction and it be wrong, to disappoint the requester, nor did i want to bring the bad news. So to avoid it, i was the first one to bland it out and make it not a big deal. The grain of salt.
It is wise from a point of view, one's future is theirs to make their own, but constantly telling myself "I can't go too far" might have limited my own intuition power.
Of course a game is but a game, it is scripted and has the limitless of fiction, however i do firmly believe there are talented, gifted people out there that can predict the future through divination magic with precision unmatched (oh, the stories i heard), but it's something wlse entirely, much harder to believe i could be one of those.
Even if i am unfortunately not very constant with my tarot craft, because it doesn't pay my bills and all that, i do feel a strong connection with my decks and the things i learn through the little sessions and readings every now and then, therefore trying out a new thing could be doable
When im not in tune during a session, my cards kinda "refuse to work" until we fix the vibes, the question, etc, and when everything is aligned it flows with incredible accuracy and meaning. I never "predicted the future" per see, however many, dare i say most, of my readings sooner than later came to be true, the ones i had been close to watch it unroll, so it might be possible to channel that energy into something similar, bolder.
The more i think about it, the stronger is my feeling to dive into this possibility, because i know if that's something my decks are not okay with, they will give me the proper queues, leaving my on read, so back to insightful readings it is.
Just like i do with my hair, a little bit of experimentation will not hurt anybody
My idea is to go deeply into bold fortune telling, let my intuition go wild, align it with my current knowledge (and future, because that's never too much) and allow myself some creativity freedom, read the cards with my third eye and present the consultant with very different outcomes one might never have considered an option.
About Hekate's insight, this month i admit to have failed my duties more than other months, it got me a little sad, because it's partly due to work and rest routine that I'm terrible at organizing. But during one of my hunting sessions for games to relax, I came to find that game by paths i usually don't trail (navigation wise) and played the demo that instantly made me purchase the whole thing.
I have reasons to believe Hekate lead me to it, silently with a few odd clicks, just the way She initially lead me to tarot years back, with a simple instagram ad (an opportunity to take the first step, after many days of me pondering about it). The game, The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood, has a beautifully written script, nice game mechanics, pretty art and designs and wild interpretations of Witchcraft, a great piece of fictional entertainment watered with valuable pieces of basic information Witches should know about.
This totally wakened my senses, as i said, sadly not constant with tarot, i felt intrigued with the mechanics and possibilies, and after lots of research on the matter, my conclusion is yes, fortune telling could be possible for me, if im brave enough the flourish it.
Like the game protagonist, I'm a bit scared of what may come out of this, seen like i had a very turbulent past that made me insanely afraid of what the future holds (cough cough ptsd cough subject for another day), this can be a healthy way of helping deal with it.
I shall make a briefer post later, but my idea is to reopen tarot requests, making it explicit that this is a beta testing fortune telling kind of deal.
Although i feel strongly Hekate is the one once again showing me the way, i feel like gathering some additional sources to aid this possible journey, and read more into Apollo's devotes and their experience with clairvoyance is on my list, maybe i might be blessed with His dodgeball gift of prophecy red ball in the face, so if any of Apollo's fortune tellers, messengers or followers have any tips regarding prophetic matters I'd love to hear about it!
Hopefully I'll be back soon with news, thank you so much if you read until here, have a blessed week ✨
Does anyone else’s deities get really aggressive with ya when you are sick and not resting when you should be?
It’s like guys I know but most meds don’t work for me and I can’t sit down for more than 5 minutes without having to always be constantly doing something..
