Hi. I am the proud mother of my beautiful daughter, grace helbet. At two weeks old, my daughter was diagnosed with sickle cell , my daughter almost died due to complications from this disease. She suffered ALOT, but the worst were the THREE strokes to the brain. She had to learn how to do everything over again and of course this required me being off of work. Because of the strokes she now has to have chronic transfusions. I was a teacher with BENEFITS to where if she was sick I could still get paid because I was on salary and had FML. But because she is disabled, the government said I made too much money and that if she was cut off her disability check she would lose her insurance. I wasnโt concerned about the money because I am able to work. But I am not able to pay for her medical expenses out of pocket and I was forced to resign so that my child could get the care she needed. My job had Blue Cross Blue Shield which would have been $200 to add her and it only allowed three hospital visits per year and if you are familiar with sickle cell, they stay in and out of the hospital. So that wouldnโt work. I got evicted because I was unable to work . now over 6 months i don't have job . No groceries. Bills past due and broke has me so down. An assist of any kind is such a blessing. Iโm currently struggling with hospital bills and food. My second son, Yahya, was in his first year of kindergarten,and he would wake up early, happy to go to his friends and play.
Or do they now wake up to the sounds of planes and explosions and feel ashamed when they stand in line to get food or water? A terrible difference between our lives in the past and the present. A year between our stable life and the life of war, no education, no games, no life, no security, and no source of income. How long, world, where is humanity, where are the rights of my children? As today, when a medic who started his career in the ranks of the Hospitallers, 21-year-old Oleksandr Kucheriavenko, call sign "Kuzma", died while performing a mission.
Died saving others. According to the battalion's press service, Kucheryavenko had recently mobilized to the Defense Forces.
"A man with an incredibly keen sense of justice. A professional who has worked at all levels of pre-hospital care. An idealist who was always where he had to be. A hospitalist to whom more than one Ukrainian soldier owes his life. A man his mother and bride were proud of and loved. A comrade-in-arms whom we miss.
He lived, loved, and fought. He died saving the lives of others. We will never be able to comprehend this incredible loss for Ukraine, the Battalion, his fellow L20 crewmates, and family," - this is how Oleksandr's brothers and sisters-in-arms, who together evacuated wounded soldiers in 2023 and 2024 as part of the L20 Hospitaller crew, remember him. "Young, hot-tempered, he was one of those who found his calling early on. And he followed it to the end, despite fatigue, pain, and loss," emphasized Yana Zinkevych.
Oleksandr Kucheryavenko died on May 14, 2024, while providing aid to the wounded.

hi all, i'm sure those of you following have been seeing me make various posts about @muhshinmagala1tranz 's situation and how it changes as time passes. since the situation continues to evolve, i wanted to lay a baseline and just explain to the best of my ability the group's broader struggles. this post may be marked as mature, as the last big post was, so please help if you can by giving this a reblog before staff decides to destroy the traction this post may get.
i hope illustrating these issues will perhaps persuade those reading to give a reblog. before i go any further, i will link the gofundme and magala's site that my brother and i helped make:
so, as many of you may know, i have been talking with magala for several months now, and things have been terrible for her and her group. their larger group is much bigger, but she and her lgbt siblings make up about 34 people now. resources like food, water, mattresses, pads, soap, mosquito nets, and so on are tight, and jobs are hard to come by due to the violent descrimination they face in living their lives as transgender and gay people, because bigots won't hire them. magala once asked me if i believed that they deserved to exist, just because they're trans, after her friend had been visciously attacked and beaten nearly to death. it broke my heart. their ultimate goal is to move to a camp two countries away that has many more lgbt people and a much kinder and less violent climate, but they need money to do that, at least $2000, and that is money that could go to helping their camp members various ailments. it's especially difficult with how much they're struggling to meet their most basic of needs right now.
as of now, their group is comprised mainly of sick and injured people, many of whom need surgery or medical intervention and can't afford it. several of them are very ill with no discernable cause, and they can't get help because there is simply no money. many of them have chipped or broken teeth, or jaw injuries from being beaten, as assaults and beatings are extremely common. this is to say nothing of camp life, which sometimes includes raiders visiting and stealing what little they have, and abducting people. the other day magala showed me her own false teeth, which she had to get after she was beaten badly, and now her jaw is extremely painful to use and cracks when she opens her mouth. five members are HIV positive and NEED the medicine, but also food and water to take it with. a child of one of her camp members has cancer, and needs a $5000 surgery. for those watching my posts, magala's friend was just kicked out of a hospital after she was nearly beaten to death by a group of transphobic people, all because they couldn't meet the funds, and if i hadn't been here as her security net, she and her friend would have literally gone to jail. and her friend is STILL injured and STILL almost died, with no help. the police shaved off magala's beautiful hair as well. what i'm trying to say here is that if i and my friends were not here during that event, there would be no campaign because she would not be here to speak to us or fend for her group. please don't leave magala alone and relying on only one or two people, and her group relying on only her! this is what the LGBT community is FOR, supporting and helping one another and boosting the voices of those being run down.

magala risks a lot to try to get these photos to us so we can see what she's going through - some people attack her for daring to take photos of them or around them, or of her own situation, and in some places photos are entirely forbidden. she is begging people to just listen to her story -- if you want to verify it yourself, you can message her, right here on tumblr. she's a wonderfully kind woman, doing her best to lead her fellow lgbt siblings in am impossible climate of intolerance.

Emergency Commissions
One of my checks was a couple of days late last week, and the more lucrative of my 2 proper jobs has given me only one day of work this week (seems to be system issue?? I'm waiting for a reply from my higher up, there seems to be a queue of sorts) I have no idea when I'm going to get my check this week, either. Although it's supposed to come in on Tuesdays, I have heard from coworkers it is likely to be delayed again. On top of all of this, I have had wifi issues for a week, and I work from home.
I was already going to have to do some commissions to make rent this month before the reduced work hours and wifi issues. I have to pay rent on Saturday, and I do not get a grace period. I cannot emphasize how screwed me, and both of my disabled roommates are if my check doesn't come in on time, which is apparently not likely to happen.
I am setting this goal for $600 which is how much I am going to need for rent if my check does not go through in time. I will update this post accordingly, and turn off rbs if I get my check before rent is due, but tbh if i thought that was happening I wouldn't be making this post.

Oh dang, I haven't checked up on Tumblr in awhile so I've been making rounds trying to piece back together folks I haven't checked up again in awhile. Sorry for how long it's been since I've lasted popped up. I would've reblogged and boosted far sooner had I known.

Well for those who have been paying attention this won't come as a surprise, but my health has been quickly deteriorating since February
or to put it more blunty I've had the shits for over 2 months now and that has completely fucked my health
We're still trying to figure out what caused this, but there's been no new developments
So that has left me with two options:
I either continue to rely on my country's universe health care system and continue to wait months between tests, and continue to let my physical and mental health go to shit (haha) even longer
OR I talk to a private clinic about this and start paying to get this dealt with as quickly as possible
This donation goal is to help me do the latter, so my life can return to some sense of normality and so I don't need extra cushions to sit at the lunch table anymore

Local queer trans girl werewolf VTuber weirdo here letting your know that I am approaching nearly 12 Months of being unemployed.
Over the last 12 months I have:
Submitted 3,000+ applications/resumes.
Had 100+ interviews.
Got 1 job that I was constantly misgendered at, and upon informing HR, was then cyber-stalked by my bosses.
Got 1 freelance opportunity who, after two weeks, realized they had hired too many people and then let everyone go who was hired - me included.
Ran out of unemployment, drained my savings, maxed out my credit, and fully lost my insurance.
Unfortunately, even if I got a job RIGHT NOW, I would be unable to pay rent and bills for the foreseeable future.
I am constantly applying for jobs and trying to keep everything above water, but at this point I've become desperate for help.
