Can we ever be brave enough to risk it in case of Love?
..
A friend that anyone could have.
A friend Pi never thought would show him what it means to truly care for someone. And tell him that it's okay to make mistakes, most of them can be fixed. That kindness could lead to things that aren't horrible.
It was nice talking to someone about his day, text them at wee hours and not expect it to be ignored. Have just as much to text back. Who listens.
Having a friend was a nice feeling.
He, for the first time, trusted himself at his most vulnerable moment, which is conpletly hammered with intoxication and prone to do embarrassing things, to someone.
What more could he want?
That's what he though.
Until get let his intrusive thoughts win. Not like he was in any state to decide for himself.
It helps that there hasn’t been any awkwardness between the two of them.
Nothing was mentioned.
Mork haven’t brought up that night since, which Pi is glad for; he’d much rather settle into the easy rhythm of their friendship, carefully leaving certain things unsaid, than risk speaking up and tripping them into awkwardness.
But he can't breathe easier after confirming his suspicions. Doesn't make much of a difference now that he knows he has feelings for the senior.
Neither can he stop himself from being stiff and panicked when they get too close. It used to bother him, but now he shamefully craves for it. And hates it too.
Everything with Mork could go back to normal if only his heart stops skipping beats when they touched, heat rising up his neck feelings warm all over through the fabric.
If Mork noticed, he dodged it with silly excuses of summer heat and hpw he had something to do before scurrying away. He can't explain why his voice suddenly sounded so strangles.
By the time a few weeks have passed, Pi can almost pretend nothing happened at all.
Almost.
It’s just.
Sometimes, he can’t help the looks. Mostly at those lips.
He’ll be in the library, or at Mork's to crash on his couch for movie night, and every now and then Pi's eyes will catch on his face concentrating on the plot—and before he knows it, he’s staring.
Avidly.
Mork is always so close somehow even if here is a respectful distance and Pi sees his hands and arms and chest and remembers, remembers the way he was held.
The sturdy and first chest pressed against his back when he tripped, strong arms that dragged him when they pretended to skate on the marble floor.
Then it would land on those dreadful lips. And he could feel the drop of of sweat tickling at the back of his neck, rapid fastening of his breathing. The way his eyes felt like closing, and leaning in much closer, maybe climb on to his lap-
Okay.
Maybe he is a little hung up on it.
Mork seems like he forgot about it too. Or maybe he remember but doesn't want to emberass Pi by bringing it up. Make fun of his sloppy, non-existant kissing skills. Be disgusted.
But then what could he say when he was hiding cowardly under the pretence of forgetting in his drunk haze. He wasn't the confrontational kind of guy. It was pretty freaking obvious.
But that’s fine, because usually he blinks it away, and then a moment later he’s back to laughing at Mork's pick up lines or catching back into the movie; whatever else they happen to be doing at the time.
He was not treated differently like he expected the moment he remembered the night's event. Which conflicts if Pi should mention it or not. Will it make any difference. He hopes not if he decided to.
He’s used to boxing up his sudden attraction to Mork. That is nothing new, repressing his true feelings.
But he isn't that afraid, it's surprising. He isn't panicked by the reality of it, rather confronting it with Mork.
Or, well. It would all be fine—if it weren’t for the times he catches Mork looking back.
It drives him positively insane every time Mork stares back when he thinks Pi dose'nt notice. Pi wouldn't have been if only he wasn't hyper-aware of Mork's every move. Those lip bites almost feels intentional. As if he was deep in thoughts and his eyes seems to coincidentally fixated on Pi.
Sometimes Mork would meets his gaze when he catches him, refuses to look away for a charged moment even if they’re both doing something, his eyes dark and intense—
It’s the kind of look that makes him want to scream and run away. He barely holds back a gasp. It makes his inside twist in a not-so-bad way.
It’s the kind of look that makes him want to cross a lone friends shouldn't. Aren't they already lingering around the edges
He dose'nt understand if its better or worse. .
There’s no intent to either of their gazes, he’s pretty sure. They’re really just looking—it’s not like they’d do anything about it. But it’s enough to stir up the memories in his mind, to make him yearn for that phantom kiss, to make him dream of doing it again. Sober.
He wants to pull his hair out
It’s enough to make him insane.
But he’s handling it. Really. The looks, the lust, the longing—it’s all under control.
Until it isn’t.
Tiny snippets of what to expect.

Maybe try reading it?
Hey guys. I know, it’s been a fresh minute since I’ve used this blog, well besides for looking at posts without doing some of my own. Trust, I plan to fix that starting today. Don’t expect super frequent posts as I am still in school (cries in final exams) but I do want to be more active here, especially regarding some works I have cooking that I want to share as well as shows I want to rant about. Which brings us to today’s icebreaker, the recent Heart Killers BL series.
And my thoughts so far? I honestly am in love with this series. Might be one of my favorite off all time so far, and that’s saying something coming from a Kinnporsche glazer, rightfully so that series is also incredible. So I’m going to rant about the episodes so far and some other topics I’ve seen floating around the show. So strap in cause I got quite a few things to saw if you’re interested.
EP. 1 - Great start to the series in my opinion. I loved the character intros and all of them are perfect to showing the audience that these are not good people. Extremely morally grey and paints the way to great character development. Makes them more realistic, as people in real life are often morally grey as well, dirty and complex, just like these characters. Brings an element of realism to an otherwise campy and sometimes goofy show about assassins and deceit. Also yes, have to talk about the KantBison scene. Now, I havent watched too much of their work, only pieces from their shows, but from I could see they had great chemistry and it’s on full display here. Their scene was passionate, raw. Another praise to give to the show is how openly sexual it is and I love it. Also loved the dynamics they’ve at that point, Bison being the dreamer, Fadel the reluctant, older brother who does what he thinks is best, Style an annoying but lovable diva, and Kant, a liar who’s doing it for the greater good of his brother. The tension as well between Fadel and Style, chef’s kiss. Can’t wait to see one of them break. Overall, had a great time with the first episode.
EP. 2 - Have to say, the most campy episode so far. But I’m not complaining, Style of course being the reason for this. I got to say, usually I hate characters like this, the overly annoying ones to smother and don’t respect boundaries, so I’m shocked to find that Style is still as lovable to me as ever. I think it’s because of the added subtext that at first, he’s only really doing this for his best friend and his car. So he’s doing it with the benefit of the reward after. It’s messed up and keeps up with the theme of toxicity in this show. And it’s also hilarious to see Fadel have the patience of a saint and put up with his shenanigans. Hell, even giving him money for his products he ‘dumped.’ The tension between the two is great and got even better during the sauna scene. So many thoughts for that, super hot. It showed Fadel being the most giving to Style since they first met, makes sense since that only happens when the two are alone. He leans into his touch almost, closes his eyes and just lets himself feel Style’s hand on him. At least, till Uncle comes in and ruins it. Style basically being the ‘Ricky, when I catch you Ricky’ to him was hilarious. Till we go to the unconsensual kiss. Now, again, makes sense character wise since Style has been described as shameless in his attempts to pursue someone but I like how the show portrays it as something thats still not right. I love that the show isn’t afraid to delve into heavy subjects like this and still manage to portray them in a bad light without romanticizing them like other BL shows. It fits the tone of the series perfectly and I love it. Especially when we got to the end of the episode of Fadel’s fun time to himself. Hot as well, shame we lost a soldier so early. The post nut clarity hitting him hard afterward also made me chuckle out loud. It’s ok, we’ve all have our rough days. The Kant and Bison stuff was also very sweet, Kant paying off his friend to flirt with Bison to make it more convincing to him is a level of dedication I can’t even hate on. Proud of my toxic boy. Love how they’re still learning to trust each other, more Bison to Kant really, showing that he’s not as naive as some might think. Again, had fun with this episode as well as can’t wait for the next.
EP. 3 - Wow, def need to touch some grass after this episode. Here I thought nothing would top the Fadel fun time scene last episode but here we are. Now, there is a lot to say about this episode as got a good amount of info this time. We got introduced to ‘Mother’ who is actually worse than I expected her to be. It’s clear that she doesn’t give a damn about these boys (at least so far), merely using their ‘love’ as a means of manipulation to have the boys blindly follow her orders and take our her enemies. Reminds me of Tony from Pitbabe just gender bent. Showing the outsider brother, sorry I forgot his name at the moment, clearly being set up as a foil for the assassin brothers and I’m interested to see where they take him. Also, lore drop on Fadel? So boy wasn’t just rightfully paranoid, he lost an ex bf in this line of work and poor boy doesn’t want the same happening for his brother. Makes sense since at the beginning of the episode, he covered for Bison and lied about him seeing someone. Another cute brotherly moment besides from the one later one where he tells Bison he’ll help him get out of this so he can have a normal life. I swear, I love these two so much. And of course, more Style annoying Fadel, my favorite pastime. Jk but Fadel being used to it at this point is hilarious. Also loved how Style went to help Fadel and then proceeding to make the boy nervous when he changed into the uniform in the kitchen. Like Style, if only you knew the true effect you had over this boy. Fadel was practically drooling at the mouth looking away from him to stop getting horny. More cute scenes between Kant and Bison but unfortunate when Kant had to report back to Captain who suggests getting into their home instead. Mission failed successfully? (Iykyk). The club scene with Fadel was amazing, Style is right when he says that he’s handsome to be making like that on the side. But when he started imagining he was in fron of Fadel instead of the woman? They’re literally soulmates your honor, two minds think alike. Interesting though that after Fadel saved him from those three after the club, he’s switches on wanting to sleep with him to actually wanting to know more about him. His suspicions opposite to Kant’s, who wants to date Bison for the reason of staying out jail, to Style, who actually wants to know more about Fadel, what makes him tick and to let his walls down. So makes sense when they finally have sex, he’s not enjoying as much as he would’ve before he changed his goal about him. The whole sex scene actually, while still good, feels underwhelming for those two and it should be. Fadel’s doing it because he claims it’ll get Style off him, which lets be fr, he’s dying for that cookie since that last episode, so he feels this is mandatory and not into it as much as he would be if he actually vulnerable with Style. To which Style picks up on. He looks attentive, not as in the moment as one think he would be because he knows Fadel isn’t doing this because he really likes Style but because he feels like he has to. It’s more interesting than it is erotic and I love how the direction for that scene was. And the punch to Style after? Much deserved cause I did not like that whole grief club scene. Maybe to was to further hit home that Style isn’t a good person or maybe this foreshadowing for something, idk. I’m not a fan and it seems I’m not the only one. However, I can’t say the same for the ending of the show. The BDSM scene. Now the show is filled with triggers, stated that very early on, as early as the trailers so this didn’t surprise me too much. The roofing however, was interesting but makes sense since Kant needs to get more evidence at their house. But when the tables flipped, it catches him off guard. Him clearly hesitant and somewhat scared at first but not saying anything cause he’s far in to give up now. But to him starting to melt into and possibly feeling good was another level of spice I welcomed. I have so much more to say but maybe I’ll save that for after the series is over for a full analysis.
Overall, the series is so much fun and entertaining, the level of tension, incoming angst and storytelling is all wonderfully done and it leads me to being excited for the next coming week and how they’re going to redeem this band of morally grey men. That’s what character development is for. If they started out as goody two shoes then the show would be boring. The element of realism in the toxicity and deceit all these characters have is honestly what’s setting up for some amazing drama to come and it boggles my mind that some people are using that reason to drop the show. The show was very clear that it would go into some heavy subject matter and people hating the show on that are the reason we can’t have nice things. I understand not wanting to watch the show due to some of its triggers but calling the show ‘bad’ because of these reasons is absolutely ridiculous. There are other shows who try to go into this subject matter but don’t have the good writing Heart Killers have to pull it off. Sorry for the rant but had to get it off my chest.
All in all, watch the series if you can handle the heavy subject material as it’s definitely worth the watch. And don’t if you don’t! We all have our preferences but don’t hate something when it isn’t finished yet please. Let’s spread love, not hate. But I think I’ve all I wanted to say. Can’t wait till next week cause the show is getting good.
See you all in the next post, my marvels. Bye!
Yes it did receive appreciation for being a trendsetter of university setting in BLs but the criticisms on lack of intimacy is getting on my nerves.
First of all, the main focus seems to be on the senior-junior struggle with hazing and the characters' internal struggles. THE AIM WAS NOT FANSERVICE AT ALL.
With that being said, it is completely normal for them to NOT be all over each other on screen even in season 2. Portraying emotional intimacy is harder than physical & it's done beautifully. They are two boys trying to graduate and do well in their jobs, it's absurd for them to come home and be all energetic in bed.
The relationship is actually balanced in its own way. Arthit gets a lot of hate for not communicating enough. When it actually does not seem like the case. Because in s2 he tells Kong "We can normally talk about anything, right?" That actually shows they are close enough to have tough conversations without jeopardising their relationship. Arthit knows since s1 that Kong is a rich kid, only he never know who exactly his father was.
Moreover Arthit's introversion & mysteriousness is what seems to draw Kong to him. We see how possessive Kong is - he cannot stand anyone else knowing little details such as pink milk & Aioon. I bet he'd not like him if Arthit was an easily likeable popular extrovert. The fact that Arthit is visibly shy is enough for Kong. And the fact that Arthit does not say "I love you" or "You are my world" regularly is what makes his words more valuable. Because Kong knows that it means beyond the surface in a situation when he says it.
It's good that Arthit continues to be shy & silent even in s2. Because that shatters the most common misconception that people change. He himself says that he loves Kong regardless, and saying it everyday would only reduce its importance. (Also, he's shy & that's how he is. Kongpob can accept it so it's all good innit?) Despite taking a long time to deal with his inner struggles he always comes back. He doesn't go around announcing about his relationship, but he does not keep it a secret forever either.
And the fear of society is actually well portrayed. University & workplace is different. Your sexual orientation doesn't reflect on your academic reports, but it CAN reflect as workplace discrimination. We also see that Arthit slowly realises that nobody is gossiping like he imagined. That's how he learns how pointless his worries were.
There are other shattered stereotypes. Such as the owner's nephew being a hard worker unlike the general nepotism character. And Earth just taking her time to warm up instead of turning out to be the female villian.
With all this being said, the show has a balance of silly entertainment & realistic ish character growth, idk it's a hill I'm willing to die on kbye.
as a shy introvert who not only joined but also worked hard to excel in public speaking events so that my crush notices (we didn't end up dating but whatever lol), just going to say that watching Tinn going out of his way for Gun hits different.
The unhygienic trinity 🤣
The fact that Puen still goes by "Tun" with Talay despite spending months together hints a bit of self disgust.
It's like Puen is jealous of his own success. Initially he must have been genuinely concerned about privacy. From literally the second day it's evident that Talay does not know much about films or actors. He couldn't guess his name. Even a casual fan would have guessed with those hints.
Celebrity disease is unlikely considering Puen's personality in the real world. However, Puen's actions can still be justified saying he doesn't want to be idolised.
Since the series hasn't ended, it's worth speculating if he has a suspicion if who Talay is. Here's a theory.
Think about it. He met Talay, love at first sight, not once but twice, by fate. Puen could've obtained Talay's contact from a crew member. On reaching out, he must have met Tess in Talay's body who might not have responded well. There's a chance it made him sad enough to get drunk & the next thing, he's met with an accident. But now. Now he meets Talay in the alternate world. Some dots vaguely start connecting. Now he needs to ensure his fame doesn't get in the way. He wants to see the real Talay.
Even this intention can't be justified as of ep6 considering how much they have endured together. They know each other's likes, dislikes, about Puen being done with his fame, about Talay's dreams & fears.
Puen is just fucking scared of rejection at this point & nothing else. It's been so long, revealing himself now would shake things up no matter what. So he hides behind excuses such as scriptwriting to justify his flirting. Sometimes he doesn't even give a decent answer.
It really makes me wonder if he's even interested to go back to his real life at this point. Maybe he likes to be Pakorn with loving parents & friends like Up, Aou & Talay as Tess who he can hit on without worrying about others. He now has a community of people who travelled universes. No one puts him on a pedestal.
He's terrified of his own fame. Worried that it will create distance. That Talay will stop looking at him as an equal.
He must have encountered a lot of people trying to take advantage of his status. He's probably unsure if he's indeed loveable as the whole person he truly is. He could also be afraid his celebrity status will just hurt the ones he loves if both return to the real world.
He needs to have faith in Talay's capability to love him, to accept him as a playful clingy boy who's also a public figure.
He's hidden himself for so long, grown to love Talay so much with time.... that now if Talay can't accept him as a whole.... He'll be heartbroken much more than before. And worse, Talay will be too.
Gifs from @namchyoon & @petevegas post
I can't help but wonder if these similarities were intentional.
Let's look at the couples. Both are facing a shared problem. Pat Pran are sick of their controlling parents. Puen Talay are trying to cope with the untimely demise of Joob.
Pran & Talay have a fear of patterns. Pran is afraid of his mother forcefully transferring him again. His high school heartbreak is unhealed. He's afraid that every time he gets close to Pat, fate will split them apart.
Talay has a fear of abandonment. Just a week ago Up & Aou went their separate ways. Puen disappeared entirely. Top it all Fuse & Kita graduated before him. Hardly had Friend Credits re-united when Joob passed away. His fear of abandonment resurfaced.
Pat & Puen themselves didn't have it better. Pat had gotten scolded by his father for prioritising the play over rugby. He also had to cope with his father's betrayal which caused him & Parn to be star crossed lovers.
Puen too was mourning the loss of Joob. The one in whom he saw a maternal figure. Even his own fears were likely to be triggered watching Dol regret holding back from confessing until it was too late.
Puen & Pat exhibited immense strength by not only standing tall, but also by holding their partners from collapsing.
Pat could have simply asked for a break or ended it altogether. Because from the looks of it, they both were financially dependent on their families. Instead of being practical or reckless, Pat asked Pran to run away with him until they could come up with a solution. A solution that would let them continue holding each other's hand.
Puen too, could have done anything. Confessed impulsively, cried or remained silent. He himself was shook & unsure of his fate. Moreover watching Dol regret must have added to his own insecurities. But he mustered up his last ounce of courage & confidence to reassure Talay.
"Can I hug you to sleep all night?" In this case was not "I'm in love with you" or "I will protect you" but rather a reassurance that "I'll still be holding you after you sleep & wake up. I will never disappear on you ever again. I won't abandon you."
"when death// takes my hand// i will hold you with the other// and promise to find you// in every lifetime ~ commitment, rupi kaur, The Sun and Her Flowers”
PS it's funny is that Talay technically looks like Pat & Puen like Pran in this alternate universe given the casting....like you know what I'm saying right 😂😂

Soulmates. Better half. Portkeys. The love of your life. CMBYN & Vice Versa's plot at their core are essentially these aforementioned concepts.
Call me by your name is inspired from Plato's Symposium. In Greek mythology, humans were originally four-limbed, two-faced creatures; split apart by Zeus and condemned to spend their lives looking for their other half.
According to Symposium, one's quest for a female or male half depends on the nature of their original being. The relationship between the halves is subjective, but is ultimately companionship.
However, when one meets their other half, be it a lover of youth or a lover of another sort, the pair are lost in an amazement of love and friendship and intimacy, and would not be out of the other’s sight, as I may say, even for a moment.” This is the highest form of love — “the people who pass their whole lives together; yet they could not explain what they desire of one another.”
"Call me by your name and I will call you by mine" implies that "you and I" are one being that was separated. Now Talay & Puen share parallels to Oliver & Elio.
Puen and Talay are going through something similar (as of ep 6) The duo find themselves naturally drawn to each other, but they do know what they desire from each other. They briefly even feign ignorance.
As for the concept of portkeys, it once again refers to the idea of 2 people who are destined for each other. Like a match made in heaven.
Puen is carefree like Oliver. It is very evident from his confidence when he says things like "I kissed you because I wanted to" or "I should simply marry my colorist then"
For a non believer of love, Talay treats love sacredly. He's quick to draw boundaries & teach Puen that love cannot & should not be faked. He's cautious, sensitive to language & doesn't take things for granted, just like Elio. Puen revealed himself to Pang in the first meeting but not to Talay who was practically joined to him by the hip on most days. Talay tries to hide his envy by telling Puen to get close to Pang by calling her his prospective portkey. This is parallel to Elio's jealousy over Chiara. And his attempt to objectify her to strike up a conversation with Oliver.
Although most Call Me By Your Name ends with Elio getting a little more cynical, here's to manifesting that Vice Versa will end with Puen feeling a lot less lonely & Talay losing his cynicism about love.
PS Call Me By Your Name is set in a town by the coast & a lot of scenes are on the beach. Talay happened to drown while playing at the beach. Not to forget his name itself means "Sea" (And the actor's nickname IRL is Sea lmao 😂)
(Some of the above information was sourced from Vox)
All this cuteness & STILL it's the J Dent toothpaste product placement that got me lmao🤣🤣🤣
rewatching the vice versa episode and still trying to cope with the fact that puen really imagined a whole ass scenario where talay moved in with him.. like he really said 'if we lived together we'd be watching movies and i'd make popped rice for you. then i'd use your hand to feed myself, and you'd use my hand to feed yourself, and i'd suggest we ate something else, and you'd say we should get ready for bed. then we'd brush our teeth together, and you'd put toothpaste on my toothbrush, and i'd basically call you my boyfriend, and i'd very much want to kiss you'
and talay was basically like 'cool story, bro, but that sounds like we would fuck at the end'
MEANWHILE IM JUST SITTING HERE YELLING AT MY SCREEN LIKE PUEN WANTS TO MARRY YOU TALAY WHAT'S NOT CLICKING
Is Fuse actually pretty or is it just me? 🥺
Cuties and their drunk confessions 🥹
Vice Versa The series could have easily gone wrong with the cliché character tropes. Puen being the rich, famous, handsome, go-getter bad boy & Talay being a struggling professional, socially awkward, ball of sunshine who fixes the bad boy.
While the characters easily fit into the tropes, it's the little details that make them more realistic & non-stereotypical.
Puen is everything like the bad boy, except he isn't. He is polite, likeable, hard-working & overall a sweet guy. He should have slipped into a negative spiral after losing his fame overnight & turning into a struggling scriptwriter.
Ironically, it's not the success that gets to his head but the absence of it. He was probably overworked & lonely in real life. He must have had a misconception that life without fame was going to be easy. He goes haywire when he turns into Pakorn, an average boy with no eyes on him. However, he receives Talay's criticism well. He owns up to his wrongdoings & tries to fix them. He learns that this life is his chance to have all the friendships & love he yearned for, so he must handle it with care.
Talay is struggling with job interviews & awkward around new people. But he is not lonely, he has a fairly active social life. He is passionate & workaholic. He doesn't seem like a pessimist, but he doesn't seem like the eternal optimist who believes in fairytale endings either.
Talay is KNOWS the right time to have fun. Instead of living a rich spoilt brat life like Tess, he chooses to be responsible & fix the body owner's life.
He is helpful, responsible & sensitive towards others feelings. At the same time he is not the kind who will shy away from tough conversations. So even if Puen melts from seeing Talay being all goofy & child like, Talay is anything but unicorns & rainbows. Both the leads come with their own sets of strengths & weaknesses.
What is interesting about their romance is that both of them claim to have never dated. And it's surprising that Puen is the one who believes in love despite being in a position where he must have encountered people after his wealth, fame & looks. Meanwhile Talay is the cynical one.
Puen courageously opens his heart. Despite being the go-getter who flirts aggressively, he is extremely gentle. He is trying to understand Talay & help him tear down his walls instead of intruding.
On the other hand Talay is also learning that love does not feel demanding to the one who is experiencing it. He is gradually making space for Puen in his life, developing feelings & attachment while struggling to accept it.
Instead of healing each other, the two are embarking on a journey of understanding each other, following their hearts and coping with their own emotional baggage to prevent their insecurities hurting the other person. (Lol at least I hope so considering the progress until Ep 3 🥲🥲🥲🥲) Because we saw Talay making Puen realise that he can't escape hardwork in any life & Puen trying to make Talay come to a conclusion that love is not supposed to hurt or distract you.
Edit : guess who got clowned from ep4 🤡
We know Pakorn was had a crush on Tess who seemed to be oblivious about it,
what if Puen after switching bodies with him is naturally attracted to even before knowing it's Talay in Tess body because Tun's heart in his body already yearns for Tess.
And we know Tess is oblivious so Talay doesn't really feel anything in first glance until they get to know each other.
So basically Puen is double whipped. Towards Tess that Pakorn's heart wants but Tess is now actually Talay, his real world crush. 🙃
The first time was in the real world.
The second time was Pakorn's heart confusing him on seeing Tess.
The third time is when he learns Tess is actually Talay, who is a very caring ball of sunshine.
