Tired of the infantalization of the Hobbits. They can be full grown men and people will be like "aw look at my baby".
It's lowkey frustrating.
If you genuinely think that Frodo could have rode the eagles to Mordor, I think that you didn't interact with the work enough (and you're probably annoying tbh). I know it's kind of an exhausted question/joke in the fandom, but it's so demeaning to everything that LotR is.
The eagles aren't a taxi service.
They would have 1000% been seen by Sauron or his spies and been shot down.
The hobbits were the best choice, because of their stealth. They're small and difficult to spot.
It would have just made for a bad story. The whole point is that the fellowship--and specifically Frodo--didn't HAVE TO suffer, but they did anyway.

I’m challenging myself by reading through The Hobbit again and illustrate it in my style as I go along. I fully expect it to take a long time, but I’ll keep posting my progress on here. I’ll be using the movies as reference for some things but I also want to draw it how I see it. So consider this part 1 of… who knows how many. Thank you so much for any and all support!

Felt cute might fall back into my geek era, and might reread every dune book and every LOTR book. If my blog turns into a wave of random sci-fi and fantasy obsession, don't mind me, this is my most primal era. Some people kill, I get mysterious and obsessive and base my personality on having actually read good books and not coho.

The more I think about it the more convinced I become that I am in fact a hobbit and if I'm not one already I will make it my life's mission to become one. Those people have the best lives. They live in their beautiful land in their cute cosy houses and eat seven meals a day and party all the time and have cute curly hair and don't have to wear shoe. I need it.
