So uhm,,, some time ago @daneelsolivaw (go follow!!!) made a post saying that "Joyride" was a Magnifico Song and while listening to It I got inspired and drew a very concerned Han Pritcher reacting to the First Citizen Shenanigans
It's the First time I try to do any kind of animation, so it's not very much but very heartfelt

Found them, the "Second Foundation" quotes from where it derives that the Mule is 27 in "Foundation and Empire".
I knew he was around that age, but needed proof.
The second quote is so sad though. It makes it obvious that the Mule is no longer Magnifico.
It also struck me that some of the most talented musicians died at 27... like Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix and Amy Winehouse. And in a sense, Magnifico also died.
If people were relatively well under his reign, why is he called a tyrant? Just because he disrupted the plan of a long dead guy (albeit a genius)?
I think Raych Seldon should have a cat and they should commit mischief together at Space halloween time

Thanks for this reblog, glad you liked the expression! Also, your Take me on Bayta's name wants to make me share mine! I personally think Bayta name May be a Reference to "Beta", the second greek letter in the alphabet, that in various things can be used also to name stars in a constellations. Like if you search any constellations You'll find the Stars named as "Constellations name declined in latin + Greek letter in the alphabet". Also there are the Beta radiation in physic!
But this Is Just my take on It, I think yours Is really interesting as well and I'm glad you left It under my art!

I drew this to celebrate 200 followers and 1 year since I got super invested in Asimov's books!! I love the turns that the plot of Second Foundation takes, and it has some of my favourite scenes in basically all of literature. I hope I managed to capture some of that energy here-

“Asimov's male protagonists are very tall" factoid is actually just a statistical error. The average Asimov male protagonist is of average height. Golan Trevize, who's 1.85 m tall and wears heels, is an outlier and should not have been counted

I've been working on an Han Pritcher redesign and the group came up with this concept.
Concept that Pritcher and Channis wake up extremely early to get ready for the day and then put on each other make up, Magnifico walks in and goes "Damn Pritcher you were supposed to fight him, not making him look pretty" and Proceeds to joins them and puts on his clown make up.

Just finished Foundation by Isaac Asimov. You know how I mentioned in a previous post how he has just some of the weirdest names and it makes it hard to take certain characters seriously despite what they do in the text? Well, I present to you the spectrum of how Hober Mallow is seen based on his name, his ego, his public persona and how he acts around his friend.
Featuring some of my funky little doodles of the trader mayor of Anacreon.

It's been a while since I finished drawing something, I think it was April the last time? Things have been going meh but hey! At least now it's pride month! Your local creature wishes you all a nice time celebrating pride and remember to celebrate who you are the rest of the year as well, alright?
About the illustration itself, sometimes I kinda feel like my artstyle makes everything look like a cartoon

never getting over Dors casually dropping the most precise description of foundation era Daneel: “The trouble with him is he’s so used to knowing, he sometimes forgets that others occasionally don’t know”
The ladies love him for his inferiority complex, megalomania and intensely psychopathic paranoia 💜
So, do you remember that art poll, a couple months ago, where you asked to see a Greek pottery-style Dors?
Well, here she finally is!

Well, after almost ten hours of work... here it is! My aim was to only use black and red/ocre-ish color used in Ancient Greek pottery, which turned out for what is basically a second attempt! In terms of drawing style though, I steered towards another direction and, for the pose and clothes, I drew inspiration from a 1797 painting of Clio, the Muse of History. This reference just seemed fair to me: after all, Dors being a historian is one of her most prominent character traits, and a lovely one at that. The Muse's traditional attributes of tablet and stylus, pictured in the reference portrait, fit her character so I decided to keep them. The laurel crown was also referenced from the painting and, although it's not traditional, I kept it mostly because I associate Dors with leaf and/or flower patterns. After all, she's the Gift of Spring! I also decided to give one of her drapes a striped pattern, to recall her nickname, "The Tiger Woman". Last but not least, I decided to play around with shadows a bit, mostly on the draperies. Certainly not something you can find on pottery, but nevertheless a nice touch.
