"You've changed." The hero said, carefully. It had been years since they last saw the villain. They had disappeared after their last fight without a trace. The hero, despite themself, had tried to track them down, find out about their whereabouts. But, in the end, they had come up with nothing. It was like the villain never existed.
The villain chuckled. "Yes, I have better ways to annoy you now." The hero's brows knitted together.
"You're no longer causing trouble." The hero continues, ignoring the villain's comment.
The villain glanced away, their expression turning serious.
"Why?" The hero asks, taking a tentative step forward.
"I got bored. Besides, it's not fun anymore. We fight, one of us wins, we fight again. The whole routine." They gesture in the air dismissively.
The hero didn't quite believe them. "You got bored of fighting?" They asked, a little in disbelief. The villain loved to fight, they loved the thrill. Both of them did. So, it didn't make sense when they said it wasn't fun anymore.
"Yes, hero." The villain responded, staring into their eyes.
"I don't believe you."
"It's the truth."
"Then look me in the eyes when you say it."
The villain clenched their jaw, tensing up. The hero knew them so well. But they couldn't just tell them that it was because of the hero, that the hero had somewhere along the way convinced the villain that there was more to life than fighting and empty battles. That they could let go of the hatred and not resist life anymore.
The hero took a step closer, filling the gap between them. "Villain." They whispered.
The villain gulped, their eyes flickering with uncertainty. "What?"
"You can say it." The hero coaxed, their voice quiet, expression gentle.
The villain didn't want to. They wanted to resist, hold on to the last bit of what they were before the hero entered their life. However, it was all in vain. "Fine. It's because of you."
The hero smiled faintly, their fingers intertwining with the villain's. "I'm glad you're back."

spideytorch childhood friends au where the storms lived next door to the parkers growing up and then moved away when johnny was 13
Years later, spider-man breaks into the baxter building and while everyone else is trying to squash him, johnny takes one look at him and pulls up short
"Pete??" He asks.
Peter startles and very convincingly says, "what? I don't know what you're talking about."
Everyone else is frozen now, and sue is looking back and forth between the two of them. "Johnny," she says. "What makes you think-"
"I've known him since we were in diapers!" Johnny says. "You think i wouldn't recognize his annoying ass blindfolded and in my sleep?"
"It's been 4 years!" Peter says indignantly. "There's no way you should've been able to clock me that quickly! What the fuck, johnny?"
Instead of replying, johnny just laughs and moves forward to pull peter's mask off and says, "lemme see that face, parker. i know what your parents looked like - if you didn't grow up hot, i'm asking for a refund."
After that, the two of them are once again inseparable, just like when they were younger. It takes peter a lot of convincing to get sue not to tell may about his extra curricular activities, and in return he has to promise to come to her if he ever finds himself in over his head with one of his villains.
when peter and johnny start dating a couple of months later, no one is shocked.

I've been thinking about what times could be interesting to explore with the dynamics of this OT3, falling into one or another cliche.
The periods that interested me the most are:
Ancient Egypt (it is more interesting than ancient Greece)
Middle Ages (why not?)
Renaissance (A Peter living with Da Vinci, that's all I can say)
Time of the Inquisition/burning of the witches (I'm a bitch who loves to read pain/comfort)
Industrial revolution
World War II (Put them fighting against each other for more pain
