We’ve made camp for the evening along the cliffside. Taash is keeping first watch; they are still a little too antsy after the Antaam we ran into this morning. We defeated them handily, of course, but I think any sighting of them is worrying with all the unknowns circling about that ‘dragon king’ nonsense.
Rivain is…Not as bad as I originally thought.While I am not a fan of the sand, I am becoming rather fond of the sound of the ocean. I love Minrathous, wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world, but I do forget how beautiful the surrounding lands can be. Do you suppose you’d ever want to vacation here? After all this is over? Or anywhere really; as long as I can be at your side.
How fares the Lighthouse? Emmrich wondered earlier today if Fred has been helpful; I know he must have been so anxious about leaving him behind, though we both know he’s in good hands.
I suppose I should rest before it’s time for my watch, but it’s hard to fall asleep without you nearby. I miss the scratch of your quill late into the night, the rustle of your notes. And I’ve never seen the strange, constant ‘sunlight’ look better on anyone than it does you. As beautiful it is here, it’s not nearly as lovely as you.
I am entrusting this to a wisp Emmrich has raised for me, so there’s a chance this gets taken to wherever their stash of hidden things is, though knowing you, you’ve long cracked that case in our absence.
