Knockout: [explaining in detail what he knew and saw of the Cybertron War]
Fio: sooo... basically ended up in a universal and almost endless war over a divorce that ended on bad terms?
Knockout: what do you mean?!
Fio: two guys; too good friends to be a normal friendship, one of whom accidentally got what the other wanted and in revenge started a war that wasn't about winning but about destroying him... but without killing him because otherwise he would lose his objective...
Knockout: HOLY PRIMUS ON THE GROUND! WE'RE TRAPPED IN A UNIVERSAL DIVORCE!!! *frustration of realization*
Fio: *Pat Pat*
KO and Fio end up sharing the same brain cells on several occasions, especially in moments where anger would otherwise dominate them (the most reasonable example being when an illegal drag racer tries to flirt with Fio and call Knockout's alternate form an outdated piece of junk; and they both agree that either they beat him or they drive him off a cliff; either way is a win-win).
One of the biggest problems on their journey, despite starting in Jasper, Nevada, to Holloway City in Oregon (theoretically quite close), is that MECH cuts off their path and often lengthens their escape routes; other times, Knockout realizes that there are still Autobots on Earth and deviates to lose their trail and unconsciously N' sometimes, Knockout ends up returning on their tracks.
For some reason, when Fio needs to buy something, Knockout gives her an exaggerated amount of money (obtained legally/illegally through racing and accumulated through racing)
He complains about the bad movie the other chose at a drive-in movie theater, but still pays attention to him.
Fio is a die-hard musical lover and would drive Knockout crazy more than once because of the songs; being a method to annoy him into doing what she wanted (the only musical he liked was "Heathers" and just because he likes the movie more).
Knockout returns the "favor" by threatening her with spoilers for horror movies that she never finished because she falls asleep halfway through (he tried this with his torture tools, but Fio wasn't fazed in the slightest, so he quickly dismissed the idea).
Fio once tried energon, causing KO to panic; and she only responded, "It tastes like a sprite!" minutes before she was poisoned by it
The first time Fio saw KO's holo-form, she told him straight to his face that the look was so ordinary and bland that it overshadowed the effort he'd put into in his alternate mode and his finish... and they lost a day of travel just to "design" a holographic appearance worthy of his chassis (and neither of them regrets it).
In moments of weakness, Knockout prevents Fio from leaving his interior until she's in a position to speak; for her part, Fio immediately notices when KO isn't well and asks him about various topics until she finds the one that's bothering him.
What horrifies Fio the most are the moments when she needs a check-up (thanks to the fact that she suffers from various phantom pains) and accidentally activates some strange quality of her "prosthetics" while KO is playing along as if nothing had happened (among them extendable arms, an energy cannon, the wheels on her legs, a deployable hammer, etc.)
The thing that surprised Fio the most about KO wasn't that he was a doctor, an evil doctor, or even a former war criminal… what surprised her the most was that he was married.
KO tries to contextualize Fio about many things about Cybertron, the Bots, the Cons or the Cybertronians in general… but Fio only understands them by comparing the situations with things from her world or situations she has seen in movies.
Unconsciously, Fio compares KO to a cat for better or worse.
Here we have Fio's design before and during the events of "Comfy Fugitives."

Fiorella was what you might consider a typical teenager of the 2010s, a social butterfly with a strong character who wouldn't let anyone trample on her or others around her, and who would get her way if she wanted. Being part of her school's theater club and running a small business for her classmates on the weekends in case these needed to be arranged for events($50 a session and $80 if she didn't like you).
Her most notable thing was that she was the only daughter of Colonel Rinaldo Ricci, but she herself didn't know which unit she belonged to.They had a very good relationship; Rinaldo wasn't the most attentive or present father, but he always made it known that he was there for his daughter and encouraged her tastes. Part of her creativity and customization of her clothes was due to the fact that her father didn't have much knowledge or time to learn much about feminine things and gave her permission to use his old clothes to modify them as she wished. He also gave her things like chains and belts; even if they weren't very pretty, Fio made sure that they would somehow work with her outfit.
The last thing we heard about Fio before she disappeared at the hands of MECH was that she was on the phone with one of her friends about going to see a movie after 5 p.m.
She is probably autistic.
She's Italian-American, but she's not exactly good at speaking it, although she does have a good listening and writing comprehension.
Fio was 17 at the time of her kidnapping.
She once responded to a girl who was bullying one of her friends by throwing a chair at her, and when they tried to reprimand her, she provided evidence of the bullying and the teachers' ineptitude demanding either a sanction for others or, in case of expulsion, making that information public (since then, no one has messed with her)
Her parents are divorced due to her mother's infidelity. It was such a catastrophic divorce, and her mother was so willful that Fio would rather die than see her again.
She learned to sew by spending time with her nonna.
She taught herself about makeup and fashion, as well as that not everything looks good on everyone and that "beauty" is adaptable, and that many struggle to maintain it.
She has some knowledge of cars thanks to her father, and Rinaldo had a collection of miniature cars (his favorite was a red 1950s Cadillac with white rims).
Her favorite colors are green and pink.
She loves calzones with cheese.
She loves monster movies and musicals; she doesn't really like action movies (unless there's a handsome actor to make up for the experience).
She would have liked to have become a professional stylist.
Fio reacts to what happened to her in a very blurred way after an indeterminate amount of time; her arms and legs were amputated, and she was fitted with strange, heavy robot prosthetics, and who knows what other mutilations she suffered. The first time she can react on her own, she does the most obvious thing: escape. She's so desperate that she ignores her fear of encountering a giant robot alien and asks for its help to escape from MECH and return home in exchange for whatever it wants.
At the beginning of the trip, and now without so much adrenaline, she begins to suffer from severe phantom pains and episodes of post-traumatic stress disorder at various intervals. She's lucky that the robot who found her was a doctor and partially knew how to treat her.
During the trip, she ends up remembering or learning more about what happened to her as a prisoner of MECH, what kind of experiments they did on her... as part of the "Calypso project". A project that looked at how Cybertronian parts altered the human body and their compatibility, concluding that they slowed his aging to almost the same rate as a pure Cybertronian before making those modifications to Silas. And that what she thought was weeks was actually almost 20 years.
Something KO didn't allow to depress or sink her until he was sure where he could leave her. Something she had to accept as an option: when she arrived, she'd be alone, but she'd try to enjoy her time in KO's company; who also often had to become his anchor, preventing him from losing control, destroying himself, and bringing out what he was hiding.
KO discovered that she suffered a brief energy poisoning during the various experiments.
She doesn't know if she regrets losing her hands or her hair more (one because she truly loved being active, and the other out of morale).
She doesn't change her clothes until she realizes how bad she looks.
She sets the condition that KO not kill if possible (and when KO refuted, she used the argument "blood smells bad and would rust your finish").
She has trouble holding objects with her hands, to the point where eating is a problem.
When she regained some motor skills, she began writing down all the movies that caught her attention.
She realizes that even a human life enthusiast like KO doesn't have much of an understanding without seeming strange; so she always has to come up with a way out of trouble. and Fio jokingly mentioned that she should create a department for cybertronians to camouflage themselves without raising suspicions from the government.
The armor on her ears is the only one that's removable, but it's extremely uncomfortable to be without them.
The first time she was seen happy on the trip was when she found out Knockout was a medical aesthetician. She couldn't stop talking for hours about how even a robotic millennial species with weapons would be interested in appearance; she even asked him what his beauty standards were. Even asking how much they charge to fix their prostheses
This would be in meters the difference in size with Knockout in meters (I got KO's height according to the official character size of the series)
Well, one person voted to hear my vision of what Knockout would be like dealing with his own human teenager.
And out of respect for that vote, here it goes~
20 years after the events of TFP, Knockout fled from the Autobots and returns to Earth hoping to end his existence with a strange feeling of being fed up with everything... unfortunately his pre-mortem plans are interrupted by a human military chase towards a test subject; a teenager with mechanical parts who asks him for help escaping home. KO is initially uninterested in helping until he recognizes that those chasing him were MECH and decides to intervene in the name of sabotaging them for "boredom" (everything they did related to Breakdown and Silas). The teenager, Fio ; more horrified by humans than by him, makes a deal: she is the daughter of a military man who had been chasing MECH for a long time, so in exchange for taking her home he can get whatever he wants as long as he is within his rank. KO accepts the deal on the condition that if the girl is lying, he will eliminate her in the most horrible way he can think of, the girl, without nerves, accepts the condition.
A journey filled with fights, disputes, sarcasm, crises, and imperfections, but in a strange way; a bond of sincerity and friendship develops between the ex-Con' and the girl.
The former Decepticon doctor, despite betraying Starscream and being accepted by the Autobots, has proven more vulnerable than he expected, feeling it was so easy that he ended up overwhelmed and escaping to Earth at the first opportunity, hiding from them as much as possible; keeping his reasons for returning to Earth to himself. He's still a conceited and narcissistic jerk who, above all, hates scratches in his paint and will get angry and ready to pull out his buzzsaw. But in Fio's company, he begins to soften and become more sincere… trying to disguise it with sarcasm and arrogance; but at a point where the human knows when he's seriously bragging and when he's just doing it to protect himself.
Feeling he has nothing to lose and the reward Fio offered him, he agrees to take care of Fio until he can bring her home, thinking that "without a war, it's something Breakdown would definitely do."
Fiorella Ricci, or simply known as "Fio," was just an ordinary girl who had the misfortune of becoming MECH's biggest target when her father was a researcher and actively wanted to wipe out the group. She ended up being mutilated and having her body parts replaced with prosthetic prototypes made from fallen Cons and Bots. She has no clear sense of how much time she spent as a subject of experiments or even processed the pain of her Cybertronian parts… she doesn't care at all (or she tries to); she ended up so affected that her only thought is to stay away from anything related to MECH and just return home, regardless of the means or ally.
At first, she remains reserved with the bot, only giving vague clues about how to get to her city, but sooner or later she begins to have conversations, ramblings, and arguments with it to make the journey more pleasant.
