Hey, I’m here with another opportunity that the Cobra Kai writers missed entirely. TWO, actually.

Numero Uno: Having Robby have some repressed envy towards Eli in Season 4. I mean, Robby hurts one person, makes one huge mistake, and his entire life goes down the drain. But Hawk becomes an absolute monster, hurting everybody and committing multiple crimes over the course of several months, but after a simple sowwy, he gets off without barely a slap on the wrist. Then, have Kreese notice this envy and use it to push Robby towards the decision of defeathering Hawk.

Numéro Deux: Having Kenny have a bit of animosity and distrust towards Kenny in Season 6, without Demetri having to influence that. Kenny’s story is super similar to Hawk’s, which I once thought should be reason to have them have a sort of mentor-mentee relationship, but I think this is more interesting. Because of the similarities, some of the guilt and self-loathing Hawk felt towards himself for his own actions kind of bubbles up and directs itself towards Kenny for a few weeks.

Am I saying I’m a better writer than the people who wrote Cobra Kai? No. Am I saying that if I did write the show this would be in it? Hell yes.

thinking about the scene where robby steals the laptop and one of his friends tells him to have each buyer send him half the money and then give it to whoever shows up first, and robby goes “but what about the other one 🥺” baby do you even know what business you’re in

Oh, hell yeah. As much as I love Robby, that was fucked.

I feel like if they actually had time to explore character dynamics, maybe 26 episodes a season instead of a measly 10, there would’ve been episodes in Season 5 revolving Robby atoning for his sins and healing his bonds with certain people, and he’d have NO idea how to handle Eli. Basically what I’m saying is, this should’ve taken at least an entire episode to resolve.

eli should've been allowed to be mad at robby about the shaving thing for longer than five minutes, in this essay i will-

I actually have a hypothetical dynamic for them😭

It’d be funny if they’re dynamic completely contrasts Sam and Robby’s post-breakup dynamic. Sam and Robby are pretty close and supportive to each other after their breakup so Tory and Miguel should be absolute bitter exes.

Barely concealed, mutual animosity.

It’s not like, intense, it’s more random petty potshots. Like Piccolo and Vegeta’s dynamic in DBZA.

It’s not like they don’t have reasons to not like each other, Miguel totally cheated on Tory in the Season 2 penultimate episode after a month or two of leading her on.

And Tory, well, she’s at least 50% responsible Miguel’s paralyzation😭.

That’s just how I’d do it, though, the canon dynamic of them just being unfathomably awkward now is hilarious.

Cobra Konundrums Episode Idea #2

Takes place in Season 2.

Demetri is feeling lonely because he and Eli were supposed to be participating in the local Guitar Hero tourney today, but because of Hawk’s heel turn, that’s not exactly possible…UNTIL Robby reveals that he’s pretty damn good at playing the guitar, authentic or digital.

So Demetri convinces Robby to enter the tourney with him, but as it turns out, the security guard recognizes Robby from one of his old scams so they have to sneak Robby in.

I actually have a full-fledged episode idea in mind, this is just half of it lol

Just thought about this again, it’s giving:

Tory: Did you know you talk in your sleep? Tell me, though, who’s this ex you speak?

Miguel: Her name’s Sam.

Tory:….anyways, I’ve got all you could want here, all you could need here, just you and me, my dear, my love for life-

Miguel: My girlfriend broke up with me because I accidentally hit her while I was drunk, and I’m trying everything to get back with her, and I absolutely am still in love with her, and 100% not over her at all.

Tory: I want that one.

Samtory. The ship I accidentally converted myself to.

At first I thought it was just gay for the sake of gay, which, I had no problem with but personally it wasn’t for me.

And then I started thinking about it as a joke, cooking up several comedic situations that revolved around Sam being obsessed with Tory and that obsessing kind of turning into lust.

And then I realized that’s just canon lmao

Jokes aside, it’s genuinely a great ship, boosted by the fact that since they’re no longer trying to kill each other, I actually know what their platonic dynamic is like.

This ship shares a lot of similarities dynamic-wise with Narusasu. Rivals so deep into the rivalry that they start making out.

Anyways, yeah, my thoughts on this ship are super unorganized but here they are. 10/10 ship

Ah, Robmetri. My two favorite male characters dating each other. It’s a pretty alright ship, especially when you realize how snarky both of them can be. Well, Demetri’s more bitchy than snarky but still.

I think the most likely period for this to actually happen would be in Season 2, when they start training together and everything’s relatively lax. Robby comforts Dem over the heartbreak of Hawk’s turn, they develop a deeper friendship than in canon and that naturally evolves into a relationship, yada yada.

The FUNNIEST period for this to happen though is in Season 3, after Robby gets released instead of going straight to Cobra Kai he decides he needs somewhere else to stay, so he goes to Demetri because you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Demetri lets him crash and suddenly, he has an emo guard dog living in his house. Eventually it evolves into a relationship from there, etc etc.

If I were to write this ship into the show, it’d be a mix of both scenarios.

But forgetting the hypothetical execution for a moment, the ship itself is good. Their dynamic would be cute and I feel like they could have common ground over a lot of things. Like, I headcanon Robby as a horror fan so him and Demetri could bond over horror games and the scarier episodes of Doctor Who (like that one with the monsters that melt people into the walls and floor).

Overall, a solid 8/10 ship

So...Kiaz.

I don't really like Kiaz. Aside from the obvious reason (incest), they deadass have no reason to even consider each other in a romantic sense.

From Season 1 to Season 4, they thought of each other as 'the twink my dad replaced me with' and 'the asshole that kicked me off a railing', even in Season 5, they'd JUST made up, they weren't even close.

And it's not even the problem of their personalities, I think they're personalities are compatible, it's just...their situation.

And the fact that they're literally brothers. Yeah, Kiaz sucks imo (no offense to anyone who ships Kiaz).

I can’t even think of how it would start because they’re just so…ruthlessly incompatible.

Torymetri is such a funny ship to me because like…that relationship wouldn’t last more than a few days. This is a ‘one night stand’ ahh ship at best.

Tory is abrasive, no-nonsense, and has major anger issues.

Demetri is snarky, blunt, and an absolute pessimist.

It’d be a miracle if these two could co-exist alone in a room together pre-Season 6 for more than five minutes without Demetri crossing a line and Tory actually yeeting him out the window.

When Kenthony is brought up, a lot of people say that Anthony fell first and Kenny fell harder, but I think it's WAY funnier if Kenny falls first and Anthony falls harder.

Kenny just starts thinking about Anthony a little too much, realizing he feels pretty good when they're together and-

Then the realization hits him like a sniper round and he spends the next three days in the fetal position coping with the fact that he caught feelings for Anthony fucking Larusso.

He's not even surprised that he's queer, he's just mad that it was Lapusso that made him realize that.

And then with Anthony, he starts catching feelings one day when he notices Kenny acting a little bit flustered around him and he's kind of like, "Aww that's kind of cute" and then his entire world just fucking SHATTERS and he spends the next FIVE days in the fetal position coping with the fact that he caught feelings for Kenny goddamn Payne.
