If there was a second crossover between strange new worlds and lower decks I hope it would be the crew of the Enterprise ending up on the Cerritos but not ending up in the lower decks till halfway through the episode and until then they only interact with the bridge crew and miss the ensings by like a slim margin.
Favorite Captain?
Captain Christopher Pike 100%
Cowboy-ify one/some characters!!
the one on the top left was my first attempt lol so ignore that, but yeah, Pike's already a horse guy so cowboy-ifying him seemed like the logical choice🫡
Well well well, if that isn’t two people who each know a different version of Kirk from separate timelines finally looking at the Kirk who actually belongs into their own timeline
And if that isn’t the guy who has impacted both of them already before ever having met them
(btw I am aware that these aren’t the scenes where they each meet their timeline’s Kirk for the first time, but I really liked how you could see the three of them in one scene here)
some Star Trek doodles I did during a family reunion yesterday🫡 Here's a very rough sketch of the Enterprise too lol:
Captain Pike:
when hamsters are born they see a silver thread that connects them to their gruesome and peculiar death and they follow it like soldiers marching to war.
I'm going to get some push back on this, but this episode was very blah. Nobody had any chance to shine, and it felt very rushed. I also thought this was an Ortegas centered episode. She was barely in it, only towards the end. Also, I wish they would stop bringing Batel into episodes, I don't know if it's the writing or the actress, but this character gets on my last nerve when she is on screen. She's so boring and adds nothing. The overall message was ok, but I am not too happy with this one.
Neera is the baddest, the best part of this whole episode. I am so happy everyone came together to defend Una. Pike is a G for going to Illyria, and its inhospitable atmosphere, to help her :D I also love how this episode shows that laws NEED to change to accommodate the time and situations. Something that happened 200 years ago cannot have such a chokehold on our views in the present. UNA WHY WOULD YOU TURN YOURSELF IN, I mean I get it, BUT DAMN!
