“You really should’ve,” Livvy said, almost ignoring the little kiss on their cheek (though they were never good at that – it didn’t take a genius to see little dipples forming on Livvy’s cheeks). “Have you at least seen Hush? Or even Us? Do you even watch any horror?”

“Of course I’ve seen Us! I’m not that deprived of modern cinema. You underestimate me, hon.” She turned and draped her legs - and although she was only five-foot-four, her legs were disproportionately long compared to her torso - over Livvy’s thighs. Their relationship was more intimacy by way of fiery kisses and desperate grasps rather than deep conversations and affection, but Laurel disregarded that aspect. “Does Halloweentown count as horror? If so, I’d survive that one. Other situations, you’d have to be by my side.”

“What, so you can have me all scared and cuddled up with you?” Livvy asked, letting out a high-pitched, bubbly giggle. “No way. If we’re doing a scary movie, we have to unpack all of it. I still want to unpack The VVitch. It totally freaks me out, but it’s SO good!”

LJ rolled her eyes at Livvy’s statement before playfully pushing their shoulder. “If I wanted you all cuddled up with me I could find other and more effective ways of convincing.” She leaned over and pressed a soft and supple kiss to their cheek. “I should have known asking this question would have came with consequences. Don’t hate me, but I haven’t seen The VVitch.”
