A VĂĄrosmajori JĂ©zus szĂve plĂ©bĂĄniatemplom Ă©pĂŒletegyĂŒttese. A modern rĂ©szek tervezĆje ugyanĂșgy Ărkay AladĂĄr, csak a kettĆ között eltelt 10 Ă©v.Â
I couldn't restrain myself of drawing the whole Church complex of VĂĄrosmajor, Budapest. Both the old and the modern part were designed by the same architect, AladĂĄr Ărkay, but with 10 years difference.
A VĂĄrosmajori RĂ©gi Templom, amit Ărkay AladĂĄr tervei alapjĂĄn Ă©pĂtettek 1923-ban.Â
This is the old church in VĂĄrosmajor, Budapest. It was built by one of my favourite architects, AladĂĄr Ărkay in 1923.
Coat of arms of Budapest.
I designed and drew a lot of backgrounds for OlivĂ©râs comic book in the past months, but this full page background, which includes four floors, is my favourite so far! The scene is the New York, an eclectic style coffee house in Budapest from the turn of the last century.
There is a Pharmacy museum called Arany Sas (The Golden Eagle) in the castle district of Budapest, what I visited last week. There is a fully furnished alchemist laboratory inside, what I liked a lot so I wanted to draw it. But then I tought it needs an alchemist first who practice alchemy there. He is Giovanni Rotunda Palatino the Italian alchemist, now a guest scientist in the court of the king of Hungary. Maybe he isnât the best, but he likes what he do.
IdĂ©n ĂŒnnepli 100. Ă©vfordulĂłjĂĄt a budapesti buszközlekedĂ©s, amirĆl a Magyar Posta bĂ©lyegkiadĂĄssal is megemlĂ©kezik. A buszok 1915 mĂĄrcius elsejĂ©tĆl negyedĂłrĂĄnkĂ©nt szĂĄllĂtottak utasokat az AndrĂĄssy Ășton. Mivel megĂĄllĂłk akkoriban mĂ©g nem voltak, a felszĂĄllĂĄshoz inteni kellett a sofĆrnek. A bĂ©lyegen az elsĆ kĂ©t forgalomba ĂĄllĂtott tĂpus lĂĄthatĂł. A baloldali egy benzinmotoros, ami a kistarcsai GĂ©p- Ă©s VasĂștfelszerelĂ©si Rt. ĂŒzemĂ©ben kĂ©szĂŒlt, a jobboldali pedig egy Austro-Daimler gyĂĄrtmĂĄnyĂș, villamos meghajtĂĄsĂș, emeletes busz. A bĂ©lyeg grafikai vĂĄzlatterve a Magyar Posta Zrt. pĂĄlyĂĄzatĂĄra kĂ©szĂŒlt. Megjegyzés: a posta kérésére nem szerepel a bélyegen a Magyarorszåg felirat és a Ft jelzés.
The bus service of Budapest celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, and the Hungarian Post commemorates the event with the issue of a single stamp. The first buses started on 1th March 1915, there werenât any bus stops, so people have to sign with hand to the driver wherever they wanted to get on or off. The stamp shows the first two types of buses that carried passengers in Budapest. The left vehicle was made by the GĂ©p Ă©s VasĂștfelszerelĂ©si Rt (Machine and Railway Equipment Ltd.) of Kistarcsa, equipped with a petrol engine, and the double decker was made by Austro-Daimler with an electric engine.
