Excuses (lies) Billy Batson could use to explain why he’s a kid.
He just takes the form of a child like Klarion the Witch Boy
It’s his power save mode
He was born with the knowledge of the gods and has the mind of an adult
He uses the form because people are more likely to talk to a homeless little orphan kid rather than a 7ft Demi-god superhero.
His body just ages more slowly than his mind.
He was made of magic not very long ago so his non-magic form is how old he’d be if he was normal.
He died at this age and his magic makes him look how old he should be.
He just looks that way

Freddy and Eugene seem like the type of kids to swear as much as possible if given the excuse
Also most of my info about the other kids (Darla, Eugene, Pedro) is coming from the movies and fics, so don’t take it to heart if it’s inaccurate.
Counter take: Mary’s deadname is Billy and Billy’s deadname is Mary.
Like they both didn’t remember each other’s real name cause they used nicknames.
So the other’s real name always floated around in their head but they didn’t remember where they heard it. So they went “fuck it” and renamed themselves that.

Just learned that there is a Captain Marvel fan club community (I didn’t even know tumblr had something like that) and I’m freaking out
I need more fics where the JL witness Captain Marvel (Shazam) get angry for the first time.
Like that dude would be absolutely terrifying.
Imagine, JL are on the regular mission and suddenly it’s revealed that the villain has two kids tied up and gagged as hostages (Freddy and Mary)
And the JL don’t even get to react before lightning starts to crackle off of the Captain and his eyes are practically glowing. And this dude just starts absolutely TEARING through every defence almost as fast as the flash and with more strength than superman. And if it weren’t for his morals you know he’d kill the villain on the spot just for laying a finger on his family.
So JL are just standing still in shock as Captain Marvel’s rage turns off immediately as soon as he’s with those random kids, bonus points if he’s on the verge of tears of relief that they are okay.

I haven’t actually got any released fics yet, so don’t expect any of these to come out for a long time (except the whumptover ones, but I dunno if I’ll have those done in time anyway.)
I don’t really know anyone who hasn’t already done this game, but if you haven’t done this yet and want to try or maybe you want to do it again;

Thinking of if Captain Marvel (Shazam) turned (sorta) evil and how that would happen.
I can’t actually see him going full evil cause Billy to me is a little ball of sunshine. But in the end he is a child therefore is more vulnerable than any of the adults.
So I can see revenge driving him to kill a villain, not inherently turning him evil, but definitely against his morals.
What if somebody kills someone close to him? What if he is forced to finally see the evil side of the world that even the adults can’t always handle? If he were to have a villain arc it wouldn’t be black and white. He’d be driven to do things by corruption and the idea that he was protecting someone else.
Billy is good, but in the end he is also a vulnerable child who has been given a great power that shows him the hidden evils of a world that has already done him so wrong. He doesn’t have the judgement of an adult as Billy, maybe he might as Captain Marvel with the wisdom of Solomon, but he’s also Billy half of the time.
Idk my brain is just making me sad thinking of a world where Billy was given to much power for his mental health to handle and then someone close to him was killed, nudging him off the edge into a pit of grief and revenge.
I see a lot of fandom media of Super boy(konner) being “adopted” by Captain Marvel/Shazam (Billy Batson) or just them being friends
but I can’t seem to find any canon interactions between them so I’m wondering where fandom have gotten this relationship from?
I’m cursed with this thing where I can’t get into a media without knowing the ins and outs of it >:(
