I haven't seen anyone talk about this, (or when they do it's asking what it is with no clear answers) this CG has floated around for a long time so here's a somewhat detailed explanation. (If I miss anything let me know!)
The photo below is a CG of Chihiro insisting that he "didn't do it" (likely referring to being suspected as a blackened/killer)
it's spread around the internet a lot but its early sources are likely from promo while Danganronpa was still in early development.
(article was originally in Japanese) as you can see all the content in this article is from the very first version of Danganronpa (after distrust but before the Danganronpa we know now)
These next photos are from the distrust slide shows, and just like the article, it mentions suspecting friends.
I believe he's saying something like "ah, its not me! It, its ___!" In the distrust version (as it appears the text is slightly different) But honestly I'm not sure, it's hard to translate when it's so blurry.
(Also a more clear picture of the design they used on the below on the right)
I was curious if this was a scrapped storyline (like Chiaki being Chihiro's sister in early DR2 development) but after some research, it turned out it both were made before either game had a set storyline and were only made/meant to be proposals.

I found the beta designs of the TWST characters, and love love love!
I've been doodling the Housewardens so much today, but it's almost all just their betas. But man, beta design Riddle and beta design Idia just are so fun to draw right now!
