Hey! This may be weird but I wanted to ask a personal question but I saw you around the ABA tag and wanted to ask about your experience. If this is too personal or Much to answer publicly don’t feel any pressure to answer, my dms are open, or answering this privately is more than enough. Im ND with an undiagnosed learning disability and have suspected for a long time i’m autistic. Last summer I started working as an RBT in small small town midwest america. Last night I wanted to look up more online resources on reddit and was surprised by the amount of hate and loathing I saw about ABA. I’m not here to discredit those experiences that being said it was very surprising since as a queer ND i have never experienced a more accepting and genuinely caring community around me then when I started working with my coworkers. I didn’t think a space like this could exist in my town. As well as the information I was fed during training that many others have papers that contradict.

I’ve seen a lot of claims from peoples personal experiences, and I think ABA has changed a lot in the last few decades. and it is highly dependent on the center and technicians/BCBA’s you get. But because of what I’ve seen from the autistic community online I want to see a wide variety of experiences. Especially as this is an ethical dilemma I take very seriously. Would you be willing to detail what your personal experience with ABA Therapy was?

If you need specific questions prompting or an idea of what I am searching for; how old were you when you started? What did you work on? what was your experience with your technicians? Did you meet others who were in ABA and what was that like if so? Were there things that harmed you? What were the things you feel like helped you? Do you feel manipulated in any way from your experience?

Thank you for taking the time to read this whether or not you respond, I have never been ride or die for this field as a job sinceit can be taxing to work with younger children as my current position does. and that has always made me wary of keeping my job; that being said recently I have been considering working with a focus on older autistic kids as I feel like I could really connect and make a good difference in their lives as someone who can at least partially relate. That being said if there is a different or better job to do that through i’d rather start researching now rather than later and would like to improve my current work as much as I can before/if I decide to jump boat without it threatening my future.

I think I was about 2 and a half when I started. I don't remember a lot from my ABA therapy because I was very little back then. I don't know if I got trauma or not,but I turned out ok in the end! I have bad short term memory so writing stuff down and using a timer helps me remember some stuff. Also yes do more research about ABA and stuff if you want to get a job in this department.

Unpopular opinion time, but I really don't think Jenova possessed Sephiroth during the Nebilhelm Incident.

I like to think that it's him choosing to do the things that he's doing. Since in the OG, his will was confirmed to be stronger than Jenova's. Yes, he was vulnerable and his cells might have drawn him towards her. Yes, he might have gotten traumatizing visions, but all that and more made him realize that his entire life was a lie and how Shinra was manipulating him.

He choose to embrace the darkness, because to him that's the only way he could escape from his fate.

I still think that in Rebirth, Sephiroth chooses to be the bad guy.

Like Sephiroth is FED UP with Shinra and their shit. He is tired of being their tool. Finding out he was made up of Jenova's cells and created to be a perfect monster was the nail in the coffin for him.

That new Sephiroth and Cloud scene in the recent trailer has shipper me going absolutely bananas

They fucking KNOW. Okay? They KNOW.

And they are doubling down on it. It's great.

FF7 Rebirth state of play highlights according to me

-BLACK MATERIA MENTION!? NOT THIS SHIT AGAIN

-SEPHIROTH HUGGING CLOUD AND whispering in his ear??? Sefikura won today folks!

-ZACK AND AERITH!? CISSNEI AS WELL!?

-The mention of "endless dream" has me both excited and scared. I think it's two timelines rather than the whole "it's just a dream" troupe

-Cloud and Sephiroth clashing at the Forgotten Capital!? Makes me wonder more about Aerith and her fate!

-Gameplay looks dope af

Sonic being shocked by the existence of a robot sonic in Prime doesn't make any sense because Prime takes place after the advance games, and the advance games take place a long time after Sonic CD where Metal made his first appearance.

-So that means Metal Sonic exists, YET AT THE SAME TIME SONIC IS SHOCKED BY THE EXISTENCE OF A ALTERNATIVE ROBOT VERSION OF HIM LIKE HE NEVER SAW ONE BEFORE, WHICH MEANS THAT METAL DOESN'T EXIST.

-BUT HE CLEARLY DOES EXIST BECAUSE PRIME TAKES PLACE AFTER SONIC CD AND THE ADVANCE GAMES, WHICH MEANS THAT METAL SONIC IS IN SOME KIND OF QUANTUM SUPERPOSITION OF EXSITING AND NOT EXSITING

Apparently, according to Ian Flynn and the higher-ups, Sonic Prime takes place after the old advance games in canon, WHICH DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE BY THE WAY.

-Orbot and Cubot didn't exist during that time frame yet in Sonic Prime they are there for some reason

- The master emerald isn't even referenced once

-Sonic isn't even aware that there's a fucking robot copy of him because he clearly was shocked by the existence of a alternative robot Sonic in one episode. Like huh?????? Bitch you have a whole ass metallic doppelganger out for your blood yet your shocked by existence of a robot version of you????

Unless Metal Sonic got thanos snapped out of existence, there's no way that Sonic didn't know that there's a robot version of him when Prime takes place a long time after Sonic CD and the advance games

Thanks higher ups at SEGA, this is why Sonic Prime should have stayed separate from canon because look at all the inconsistencies!

I'm choosing to believe that Sonic Prime takes place in a separate universe away from the main canon of the games, cause I literally cannot deal with the these things.

2024 is already great

I JUST SAW THAT NEW REBIRTH TRAILER AND IM GOING INSANE OVER IT!

Here are my highlights!

-Cloud looks so cool!

-Aerith. Just Aerith

-Marline saying, "If Aerith wakes up, then that big scary man is going to kill her" is getting my brain cooking. I think that this line means that Marline is aware of what's going to happen to Aerith or that it means something regarding the alternative timeline Zack is in rather than the classic "it's just a dream" troupe

-THAT ONE SHOT OF SEPHIROTH

-Cloud talking about loosing his mind and Tifa comforting him, saying it's her turn to save him. Just two best friends looking out for each other

-That one shot of Aerith praying with the Whispers in the background and the black feathers falling. DONT DO THIS TO ME SQUARE ENIX-

-The new theme song is so good!

-the many crumbs sprinkled in the trailer for shippers to go wild over

-Like we see some OG moments, but at the same time, SOMETHING DIFFRENT IS HAPPENING HERE PLOT WISE, which means that WE THEORISTS WON! LET'S GOOOOOOO

My spoiler free review of the FNAF Movie

I saw it yesterday and it was really GOOD. Here are a couple of highlights of my movie experience

-It's accurate to the lore with slight changes

-I absolutely loved the characters!

-The Jim Henson company did such a spectacular job with the animatronics that I was unnerved by them in a couple of scenes

-Most of the people in my theater being Gen Z and huge fans of FNAF

-Me saying "WAS THAT THE BITE OF 87!?" during one scene and a couple of people laughing at my response

-Me and my freind laughing our butts off at some of the scenes

-Near the end is where things get really chaotic and suspenseful

I only have a couple of criticisms, so it's a 7/10 for me. Other than that, it was really GOOD. Perfect for any FNAF Fan!

Not only is today my first Tumblr anniversary, but I'm also at that specific age where I can legally drink and gamble!

I FINALLY GOT FF7 REMAKE. TIME TO PLAY IT.

I just saw the FF7 Rebirth demo with Cloud and Sephiroth fighting together, and I cannot believe that the entire sequence is actually real. LIKE WE HAD CLOUD STRAIGHT UP PINING OVER SEPHIROTH.

I have to say that the whole entire flashback with Cloud and Sephiroth fighting was the most queerest thing I've ever seen.

We all know that Cloud has part of Zacks' memories and that it was actually Zack fighting with Sephiroth, but I can easily say that Zack DID NOT look at Sephiroth like that from what I've seen in the games.

Cloud is modifying his false memories to cater to him cause Cloud idolized Sephiroth, and Zack didn't.

Cloud self inserting himself in Zack's place due to his false persona makes sense cause who wouldn't want Sephiroth to look at you like that

the entire false flashback scene is just Cloud's self insert fanfiction.

Highlights from the new FF7 Rebirth trailer that I liked

-Cloud and the gang exploring

-Rufus acting like a Soviet dictator

-Tifa, Aerith, and Yuffie being besties on the golden saucer (also Andrea cameo)

-VINCENT VALENTINE

-Cloud wearing different outfits

-Sephiroth. Just Sephiroth

-Zack being alive in an alternative timeline, while our party is in the main timeline (I WAS RIGHT THERE ARE TWO TIMELINES)

-Sephiroth knowing more shit than before

-"Its upon us, the reunion, when worlds merge. I'm waiting Cloud" SEPHIROTH TRYING TO MERGE THE TWO TIMELINES TOGETHER!?

Before Sephiroth joined Smash, I like to think that in the days leading up to him joining, Cloud keeps on having visions of him and seeing feathers everywhere. He doesn't know if he's hallucinating or if Sephiroth is actually astral projecting himself. Some of the smashers obviously noticed Cloud acting strange and thinking he has some kind of presence

The most damning evidence was when some monsters attacked the mansion, and some of the fighters were affected with miasma, all except for Cloud who was near the source of it yet didn't get infected by it. Peach concluded that it was some kind of guardian angel, much to Cloud's dismay

Peach:I think that someone is watching over you, Cloud, like your own personal guardian angel!

Cloud:*rolling his eyes* Yeah, right, you know I don't believe in that kind of stuff

Peach:I know that, but you've been acting odd like another presence is nearby! That's the only explanation!

Cloud:Yeah, well, I don't think "angel" is the best word to describe it

Days later, Sephiroth joins Smash Bros, and Peach has that look on her face like, "I knew it!"

I recently noticed that Sephiroth's personality in the OG is extremely self-centered and that Aerith says that Sephiroth only cares about the planet and himself during her monolog in Chapter 18 of the Remake.

Sephiroth's goal in the OG FF7 was to absorb all the lifestream in order to become a god. He sees himself on a higher level than the rest of humanity. So the dude has a bit of a god complex.

I've also noticed that Sephiroth is technically like a reverse version of Jesus, and this only fuels his god complex even more. Many of Sephiroth's story beats mirror that of Jesus and his supposed miracles as told in the Bible.

Not to mention that in Advent Children,Sephiroth coming back for a second time mirrors that of the second coming of christ.

Jesus sacrificed his life so that all of humanity gets to go to heaven

Sephiroth sacrifices all of humanity so that he can ascend to heaven.

Religious parallels aside, I think it's pretty interesting that Sephiroth acts as some twisted kind of savior in the FF7 universe. But there's one question that's been lingering on my mind that I hope Rebirth can answer. Like how Jesus sacrificed his life, how would Sephiroth sacrifice his

But I can't stop thinking about the line "Unfortunately, the cards didn't tell her about Metal Sonic... or did they?!"

Her tarot cards are what led her to believe that Sonic was her soulmate and the person she was destined to meet.

IS THIS LINE IMPLYING THAT SHE READ HER FORTUNE WRONG AND THAT IT WAS ACTUALLY TALKING ABOUT METAL!?

I just got up to the news that Charles Martnet, the voice of Mario, is retiring. I never expected it to happen so soon, but I knew he would retire at some point.

Headcanons regarding Bowser's wife, AKA Bowser Jr's mother.

I like to think that Bowser's wife was a kind and beautiful woman who Bowser instantly fell in love with.

They got married and had Wendy first, yet they were thinking about having other kids as well

Unfortunately, she also had a fatal disease and never told Bowser about it because she wanted to live out the rest of her days in happiness.

After giving birth to Jr. A couple of days later, she sadly passes away. Bowser becomes utterly heartbroken and vows to never love another again.

Bowser doesn't tell Jr. the truth about his real mom cause he doesn't want to think that her death was his fault because when she was pregnant with him, that weakened her immune system

Maybe Bowser can someday find love again, and if it isn't with Peach, then maybe it's with a certain green plumber

FF7R Mini Theory: Hollow and the Sefirot

So I've been noticing something regarding Hollow and the Kabbalah (it's way too complicated to explain here, but it's basically just Jewish mystism). Anyways, in the Kabbalah, there are these divine attributes called the sefirot from which God would reveal himself. It's also very important because this is where Sephiroth got his name from.

There's also the polar opposite of the sefirot, the qliphoth. The qlipoth that protects the sefirot much like how a peel protects a fruit. The qlipoth are also known to be called "empty shells/husks"

It's like there... hollow inside. Just like Cloud Strife himself

So without these sefirot (divine attributes) that manifest in the physical and spiritual realms, the universe will basically descend into chaos, which is the last thing we want. Cloud and Sephiroth during the edge of creation scene represent the universes of creation (Cloud) and death (Sephiroth), yin and yang,

The Qliphoth and the holy Sefirot

Well...without the sefirot, what will the qlipoth's purpose be? They are now empty, hollow shells, kinda like how Cloud's mind is shattered and how he wants to be whole again, yet he needs to regain his true self in order to do so. The sefirot makes the qlipoth complete, just like how Cloud becomes complete with Sephiroth.

I like to think that during the time when Sonic hit puberty, he became a lot more confident with himself, and besides, he has his friends to support him all the way though it.

Metal Sonic is also going through puberty, but for robots. Eggman is absolutely terrified because he's afraid it's going to be another Sonic Heroes type situation. (cough cough Neo Metal)

Metal is 10 times more solitary and dangerous than before. His voice suffers from many glitchy voice cracks, and his hormonal instincts consume him like a runaway freight train. He can and will stab people, yet his hard drive runs on the equivalent of Windows XP, and he doesn't know how to emotion.

So I just found out that the IDW Sonic Comics are officially canon in Sonic's universe (in the games basically).

I personally don't like the fact that the IDW comics are canon. Don't get me wrong, I like the comics they're great, and the artists and writers do a great job of making them, but I have my reasons why I'm against this as a fan.

It's just that I honestly prefer the IDW Sonic Comics and the Sonic Games to stay separate. Now I'm fine with dragging some characters and plot lines from the comics into the games via cameos,lore drops, or plot lines. But the entire series??? To me, this will just make the lore and timeline even more confusing.

I personally think that Sonic IDW and the Sonic Games should have stayed in their own separate universes, with some canon things from the comics getting into the games. But this is just my personal opinion.

I don't necessarily talk about politics a ton, but after hearing about what the Supreme Court did about student loans and businesses refusing service to LBGTQ+ people, I can't help but ask the question, why the hell is my country suddenly developing backwards????? What happened to the America I grew up in????? Where everyone was free to express themselves regardless of gender and sexual orientation??? Where shootings didn't take place almost everyday? Where I was free to express myself without being criticized?

Bowuigi prompt feat Luigi and Roy bonding experience™️

Two months after he's been kidnapped and held hostage in a strange world and had his life changed forever, Luigi is facing a kind of internal crisis. He's trying to find romance

The problem is his brain keeps on focusing on a certain koopa king, and he can not figure out why.

He thinks he's under some kind of hypnosis at first, making him think of these things, but unfortunately, for Luigi, he finds himself under a different kind of spell. Not only is Bowser hot, but he's also realizing why he never wanted to get a girlfriend.

Luigi suddenly realizes he's bisexual and PANICS cause he's afraid that nobody would accept him for who he is.

Fortunately, Roy Koopa hears his troubles and comes to the rescue and reveals to Luigi that he, too, is bisexual.

Also, they bond over acting feminine and crossdressing

As the two grow closer, Luigi talks more about his insecurities, while Roy finally has the courage to reveal to Luigi about his not so great childhood and running away from an abusive household.

Roy, with the help of Wendy, wants to set Luigi up with Bowser on a date, but problem is they're afraid the other koopalings might ruin it so they keep it secret.

As you can tell, hilarious shenanigans ensue, and the date is surprisingly a success. Luigi, thanks Roy for all the crap he's done. Roy thinks the two of them should hang out more often, and Luigi agrees

I hate how some FF7 fans who want the Rebirth story to stay the same as the OG are ruining theorists' fun. The trailer just came out, and we still don't know a ton about the game, yet some people instantly came to the conclusion that it's the OG based on what was shown in the trailer.

The developers are probably going to reveal more about the new mysteries in later trailers, yet some people are saying it's the OG all over again. Meanwhile I'm having a blast theorizing about big bad Jenova and time traveler Sephiroth,and many people are analyzing the trailer and making theories out of it that sound 100% better than the plot of the original FF7 (in my personal opinion).

I think that Rebirth is a completely new thing with the same plot points, character arcs, and story themes, but it's different from the original game. And I will die on this ship until it sinks. To all the FF7 theorists, have fun theorizing!
