I must not mock Gen Alpha. Mocking Gen Alpha is the mind killer. Mocking Gen Alpha is the little-death that brings total generational solidarity obliteration. I will engage with Gen Alpha lovingly. I will permit them to be cringe. And when they grow up I will turn my eye to their accomplishments. Where mocking has gone there will be nothing. Only generational solidarity remains
Yeah, I like pie.
hey, remember that having low empathy doesn’t make you a bad or selfish person. it’s perfectly alright that your brain processes things differently.
also if you have heightened empathy, that’s also okay! you’re not over-sensitive, too emotional, or weak just cause you feel things different
there’s a lot of diversity in people and i think society really tends to dumb it down and assign people labels. and a lot of times that can be harmful and show no understanding of the nuances behind behavior. so if you’re struggling with this: i love you! you’re doing fine
y’all aren’t ready to hear about the marvel fanfic I’ve been “writing” in my little-ass windows screensaver of a brain for literally over half my life, and y’all never will

it shouldn’t be taboo to admit that there are disabled people who are more or less disabled than you.
i consider myself mid support needs. i am in pain every day of my life, all the time, and am significantly impaired by that. i can’t work full time. i require significant support to get through the day. i need my service dog to function properly. i can’t live alone, at least not right now. i can’t effectively mask my autism.
but i still have privilege over other disabled people. i can walk. i don’t have to worry about wheelchair accessibility when i travel. i have no visible deformities or intellectual disabilities. i am verbal.
some people are more disabled and others are less disabled. it’s okay. it doesn’t mean that you’re not valid or that you don’t deserve help. it just means you do not have the exact same needs as someone else.

Alphys: "S-Sans, Please! I-I'm *SURE* Undyne can- can do this! Just give her a chance! A-and if she...
Sans: "If she doesn't make it? I'll be ready for them when they carve their way to the judgment hall."
Sans: "I'm just doing my job, Alphys."
First time making a comic. How we feelin chat. Also my first time drawing Alphys(ever) and a non-humanized sans(in like. 2 or 3 years) so I'm very out of practice. Hopefully I'll keep up with this since I love possessiontale so so so much.

I’ve seen a lot of post lately about how Tim has no traumatic backstory to justify becoming Robin and I just have to say: THAT’S THE WHOLE POINT!!! Tim was very much created to be a self-insert for young boys reading comics in the 90s. He was meant to a vessel for the fantasy of “what if I was Batman’s partner?” He was meant to represent someone who saw a person in need and decided to help, simply because he felt like it was the right thing to do. He was meant to represent what an average person can do to make the world a better place. His story wasn’t never meant to be driven by trauma, he was never meant to be stuck in the past or bound by fate. Tim doesn’t need a tragic origin to explain why he became Robin; he can help simply because he wants to help.
when is comes to asexuality and aromanticism you have to be okay with contradiction. one ace person will say asexuality is about not experiencing attraction, another will say it’s about not caring to act on attraction, another will say it’s not experiencing arousal. one aromantic will consider themself queer, one won’t. two people with seemingly identical experiences will use two different labels. aro people will be in romantic relationships, ace people will have sex. you get it.
One thing White Collar gets absolutely right and very few other shows do, is that people React to guns.
The reaction varies, depending on their level of training/comfort with firearms, but there's no cool guy bravado* when someone pulls a gun, especially not from Neal. When he sees a gun he always always always reacts like things just got very serious, this is no longer fun and games.
And you know what? Yes please. It also ups the stakes for us when a character reacts to someone pulling a gun on them, and it's also highly realistic. I just really appreciate it that guns aren't a prop to signify "antagonist" but a weapon that should and does elicit fear.
* except for when Kate pulled a gun on Peter, and even then his reaction was warranted.
I'm don't know why people are so resistant to the idea of Bruce Wayne being a bad dad. Some people are not cut out to be parents and that doesn't mean they're terrible people, it just means they are not The Guy to be raising functional non-traumatized adults. Bruce Wayne is most definitely not that guy; no matter how nice he is to those kids he is raising them in a constant climate of war and brutality and they are being conditioned to think terror and trauma are acceptable things for kids to go through because he is too broken to see that they are not.
You can make him kind and compassionate and loving without rubbing away all his flaws. Bruce Wayne's failings are part of what makes him so relatable and endearing and scrubbing him clean of them takes away what makes him feel human.
