Everything was all packed. It wasn't unusual for Ranma to go on a trip with his father to build up his strength, but this time Ranma wanted to go on his own. He needed to put all the pressure on himself and have no help at all. Ranma didn't think it be a big deal, he leaves all the time. He just left a note behind for his father to pass around. Simple.
