Then last night I realized that since Jim is the Trollhunter, he wields daylight; Claire uses shadow magic, utilizing the darkness around her (as seen in the finale of Wizards).
They are light and dark-- quite literally on opposing sides, but yet they love each other. 🧍♀️
Just a reminder to my fellow Jews that Hashem loves you :)

Happy pride month to the tiny cowboy and tiny Trojan man from Night at the Museum
So many people were like "Moppet Douxie was dumb" no he wasn't! The way he acted stems from having no self-esteem. He has been judged, belitled all his life! He was never praised, his ideas were deemed terrible, his musical talent wasn't noticed! Whenever he tried practicing the lute, he was immediately shut down by Merlin. He was shy, nervous, nobody ever told him to believe in himself! That's why his magic was so chaotic because magic is emotion and he was feeling insecure! The charming Douxie we all know and love, the one who's confident and isn't afraid to speak his mind, yeah that happened after Merlins sleep. Only after Merlin was in the tomb he had to make his own choices, defend himself, was able to make new experiences, which let him to become more comfortable with himself.
you don’t have to cancel everyone the second they misstep or do something dumb but you also DON’T have to defend everything that your fave does. you can say “hey this particular thing sucked” without getting into this all-or-nothing mentality. you are not an extension of the things you like. you can think freely and criticize the things (and people) that you like, and a criticism of something you like is not something that you should take personally or feel the need to correct/defend.
white people go like “is anyone going to redesign this nonhuman evil character as a poc?” and not wait for an answer
a friendly reminder that microaggressions against asians can also look like this:
pretending to gag at asian food
pretending to be weirded out by asian customs and cultures
excusing cultural appropriation (often through ignoring the stories of asians who have been mocked for wearing their ethnic dress while praising a white person for doing so)
not trying to learn how to pronounce an asian person's ethnic name correctly, or asking, "can i call you by something else?"
adopting an asian name for the ~aesthetic~
using the words "oriental" and "exotic" to describe asian people, particular asian women
ignoring the experiences and stories of south, southeast, and central asians
making sweeping assumptions about asian countries (including their political, historical and cultural landscape)
treating the entire asian community as a monolith and ignoring the fact that the experiences of asian nationals are remarkably different from the asian diaspora/migrant community
co-opting asian aesthetics into creative media without acknowledging their history
It's kind of a weird feeling to witness your childhood small town grow bigger and more commercial. Like I remember a lot of spots being fields with cows and horses, but now they're replaced by neighborhoods, Super Krogers, and endless views of concrete.
Of course stuff like this is inevitable, but it sorta hurts to see it become another place in the U.S. that are identical to eachother.
It's funny that the most homey parts of my town are the ones with gas stations with tin walls, low-roofted small wooden houses, and square concrete buildings with some sort of decorative painting on the outside. Even the large plots of land that have heavily spaced fast food restaurants and a colorless landfill right across the street of them are somewhat comforting.
Anyways this is just me venting a bit, so enjoy the rest of your day/evening 💃🕺💃🕺
Okay so I usually try to block all of the Kr*xie shippers I can find when I first make an account public, right? But then I see one and they're obviously like-- twelve or something and then they follow me; welp mission failed because now I don't wanna seem mean to a little kid that doesn't know better and just block them like hshshshsbggshs
And then I try to see if someone's old Kr*xie posts are just old news to them and that they changed their minds, OR they still do but just don't post about them LIKE I DONT KNOWW
I don't know how to explain it, but I think Toby, Krel, Darci, and Mary as a collective group would be unstoppable
Moved blogs, but you won't know where until you find it yourself 🙂↕️
