late night au cause im re-reading darkness of dragons

Vulture is a very cool villain I wish we could have seen more of him. Truly he is a villain I feel even with his short screen time was perfectly shown to be absolutely terrifying and ruthless. Which then also made me think about how cool it would be if he was like an outlaw/ cowboy villain.

As well as if he was more bird/ vulture like.

while I didnt doodle it I imagine him to be a bit more wyvern like. Gives him swifter and more agile movements in the skys. An absolute terror in flight. Then with his crew they are a travelling merchant's worst nightmare

Qibli in this cowboy au would be more of an actual cowboy. Trading his past to help out thorn with actual cattle for the scorpion den. So think of those western movies where theres always the good cowboy and the evil cowboy. Pretty much qibli vs vulture.

Overall this way made late at night and i havent thought too terribly far into it 💀 but who doesnt enjoy a good western every now and then

My newest man Boris.

This is boris. Boris is a big boy with a big personality. Boris likes to frolic in the snow and fight bears. Hes a party animal and has the loudest laugh at any gathering. He has been denoted in royal guard 3 times and hes signing up for a 4th.

Tho boris has been demoted 3 times he was almost fired the 3rd time. He was supposed to be at his post but wasnt. But due to his desertion he managed to catch a seawing spy trying to crush the eggs in the royal hatchery.

He saved the future heirs and was spared his job.

A very old and frail woman now. Shes lost her sight and is losing her memory as well. She used to be a very muscular icewing even part of the royal advisory. Now she is small and weak. Nobel loves her children a lot and would do anything for him even in her old frail state. Nobel wants to hear from her son Chrsyo and daughter in law floe more as she remembers the wedding. Nobel often mixes up boris with Polar. Boris is close with his mother but at the same time feels so far away.

Polar was an ok dad but his world mattered a lot more to him. Polar was part of the royal guard and is what got Boris into it as well. Polar loved Nobel but wasnt quite fond of his kids. He only found pride in boris given boris' strength and spirit. He found Chryso to be cowardly and Polynya to be broken. He interacted with them but his favoritism was noticeable. He was constantly scolded by Nobel about this which strained the relationship. Polar died in battle. Boris was close to his father when growing up but it drifted away when he got older.

⋆Chryso (nicknamed Chrysophobia by his father)

Chyrso is a pudgy icewing who is fearful of a lot. He suffers from nightmares and terrors. He cant sleep at night and has large bags under his eyes. Chryso is married to a small hybrid named Floe, floe is a very loving gal who helps with his nightmares. He lives in the village of mammoth. Boris vists him often and they have a pretty close relationship

Polynya lost her front arms at birth so she uses her wings instead. She is very strong mentally and physically. She watches over their mother while Boris is away at work. Polynya is a excellent hunter in the air. She is often visited by her friends from school when she was a hatchling. they come bearing gifts. Polynya and boris have a strong relationship.

Floe is Chrysos wife and a talented weaver. Shes an excellent tapestry maker and is a perfectionist when it comes to materials. Floe is easy to talk to and is pretty humorous. Boris enjoys floes company

Tango

school work got me feeling a bit crappy so oc x canon 💕

Idk if i ever shared tango here but shes a mudwing journalist! Her scrolls are beloved in the mudwing villages. She met clay awhile after jade mountain academy was established. She went to get some info for a story and found that many of the other dragons were a bit too busy to answer her questions. Clay was the only one who would slow down enough to answer a few. A friendship blossomed soon after that and later a bit more

Tango enjoys when he visits as she knows itll be an excuse to soak in the mud to "ask him questions about his work" certainly not to take a nice float along the mud nap. When she has time she'll visit the academy occasionally speaking about scroll writing and reporting, if she can be convinced.

all the cat ones are requests and the two seawings are my ocs Doria and humphrey. Ngl this is my saddest couple. Like, all my other couples are kinda happy go lucky and will most likely have a happy ending.

Doria and Humphrey are lovers who arent ment to be at least in the society's eyes. The two live in fear of being found out. Doria wouldn't receive much but Humphrey would most likely be exiled which is pretty much a death sentence

They cant run away together itd be too dangerous and the two arent the best survivalists

There relationship is pretty much doomed

But they are grateful for the time they spend together

Didnt plan on finishing this girl tonight but I ended up doing it anyways.

This is Marceline Sagespirit. Shes an old fairy who lives in a poorer town. Shes an excellent herbologist and is a beloved figure for all magic using people. Marceline loves the moon and star gazing. you can usually find her outside late at night.

her picture is the only one in Zudrig's compass atm. This is also the only person Zudrig has broken his cheery character to protect from theives and other evil deities (Mainly due to how long they both have been around) in return Marceline has blessed Zudrig and his travels multiple times.
