fellas...its been a bit (art dump)

yeah so like life hasnt been kind at all but you know i gotta keep chugging along.

most of this art features my own characters. the only pieces that are commission work are the mushroom forest one and the gal sleeping on the log surrounded by flowers^^

my currently favorite ocs are Dexter and Elanor (robot boy in red and gal in yellow)

so like elanor and exter are childhood friends from earth but after an alien run in that was like "yo elanor you're actually an insanely tall fire dog come with us" she and dexter go to a planet called olvora. elanor is having to learn all the battle moves of the sun dogs to protect the universe but is really struggling as most of these ladies (and nb friends) have been training since birth.

dexter is very supportive and tries to help in anyway he can.

long explanation short these are my two ocs Vega and Owlbert Owlington Ugla (long name I know lol) and they -might- be in love.

My world/ lore building ramble starts here:

SO Vega works with Taurus (A star pelted blue bull) and they take on jobs across the universe to make money. Vega took an offer on a planet full of people who take on bird like attributes (Like shapes, colors, and mannerisms) Vega had to find the employer at a big ballroom on this bird like planet that was hosting a party that Vega was unaware of its importance. Long story short it went bad and vega had to scoot out of there but they bumped into Owlbert and was nervously asked to dance. Vega accepted seeing as it would help them get away from their persuers. One thing Vega majorly mistook was this dance was this planets courting ritual. Vega ran out of the ballroom and was chased by a very confused Owlbert. Vega pulled up owlbert onto taurus and rode off having to explain the long and complicated story of what they gotta do now.

During their long ass journey Vega softens up to Owlbert. Hope you liked this little comic <3

The new seawing in the reef

Sunhunter waited silently in the sand. She hated being so… out in the open. Especially now. She jumped hearing a dragon rise from the water.

"Relax. Just me." Snapping turtle shook off a stray piece of seaweed. His spots gave a faint yellow flash in the moonlight. "If your here just to tell me that I'm in danger I know…" sunhunter frowned at the familiar look the seawing held.

"I'm here to offer you a way out actually." He trudged through the sand as it began to clump on his wet talons. He shook the sand off and opened his talon. Within it was an earring, a shiny pearl carved in the shape of a star. "Oh its beautiful… but how is jewelry supposed to help me?" Sunhunter took it into her talon to further examine.

"Argile made it so he could come with me into the deep palace. He doesn't really come into the ocean these days." He glanced toward the deep blue "it's enchanted. It'll turn you into a seawing as long as you wear it."

Sunhunter felt her scales shiver "Snapping turtle… I can't… all my visions... they come in water I don't want to imagine how awful it would be in the water…" she shook her head. "How do you know? You've never been in the ocean." He leaned forward "Sunhunter you don't really have a lot of options here. The skywings are after you… they can't go into the ocean."

Snapping turtle was right. The mercenaries and assassin's were getting more crafty. Even those against the skywings would give longing glances at her. No doubt gaging whether or not the bounty was worth it. "I..I dont know how to be a seawing.." she frowned "I don't know aquatic or how to swim or or-" "I'll teach you." Snapping turtle flashed a rare smile. "What about the talons? I still want to help the peace effort…" she looked at the earring. "Oh for moons sake forget the talons! This is your life in danger!" He exasperated "Sunhunter… please… I dont want to see you become some trophy for the skywings.." His eyes were weirdly desperate.

Sunhunter sighed and slipped the earring on. A deeply cold chill ran through her scales. She shut her eyes tightly as the world spun, she stumbled forward and met Snapping turtles chest. Past the pounding in her head she could hear him "Its alright… Argile struggled a bit as well…"

Her scales stopped tingling and the pounding headache faded. She felt snapping turtles wing on her back, brushing softly. She also felt her new gills, webbed toes, and flashy spots. She opened her eyes to find her new night vision. Also finding herself needing to look up toward snapping turtle "Oh making me shorter than you is unfair." Snapping turtle snorted "Welcome to being the short and stocky tribe."

Sunhunter stumbled steadying herself. She used to be shoulder heavy but now her weight was all over. She felt stronger despite being shorter. Snapping turtle stared and sunhunter rolled her eyes "I know I look stupid don't I.." "No.. I think you look good as a seawing. I like that the earring chose a mix of more saturated green-ish blue scales. Unique in pattern but not out of place for a seawing." He smirked "but I do miss your original look."

Sunhunters face scales felt faintly like her sandwing warm ones but it went away quickly. She smiled "I have a great hunger for fish now." "Beats those awful roasted tarantulas you used to eat." He stuck his tongue out. "You never tried them so don't start." Sunhunter raised her head, her shiny sea ready scales catching the moonlight. Watching the moons for a moment she turned back to snapping turtle "Well what should my new name be? Sunhunter isn't... seawing... like."

He glanced away "hm.. clam?" "Clam?" Sunhunter retracted "Are you saying I have a big mouth?" She glared. "No! I just- ugh ill get something else…" He rubbed his chin "I'm not good at names…"

Sunhunter sighed before flopping into the sand. A faint dizzy feeling hitting her like a wave "So when does the dizzness stop?"

Snapping turtled perked up as she curled into a C "Cove! Your new name should be cove." He smiled as sunhunter titled her head "Hm... I do like it... but it doesnt mean something dumb does it?"

"No no... A cove is just a small bay often secluded. The waters often have a greenish blue look." He nudged her with a wing "I can show you."

"Ok... but dont let me drown..." She steadied herself and headed toward the water

Snapping turtle chuckled "Of course."

Dragon of the week

heyo been a bit lol, been up to a lot recently but one thing i wanted to share is my covers for a dragon of the week thing over on the wof amino

I tried putting them in order from newest to oldest. My personal favorite is still battlewinner cause I loved drawing the lava. Least favorite is probably kinkajou as I dont feel I did her justice, dont hate it but I would go back and make it more vibrant if i could. Id also like to give dusky a new piece as that one is much older than the rest

also rough to know I broke the streak of "DOTW" being on the left 💀 lmao

so i drew some radioactive alien cyborg wolves on my wall and was like, why not make them into ocs? So i did except one cause I was sick of coloring lol

i decided ill stick them with a future mad scientist oc.

shading wise im not thrilled for it but lighting i live for. and the acid I was plesantly surprised at how it came out

Wyn's counseling pt1

After some issues effecting her work Wyn has been ordered to have a few sessions with Dr Laura. This is in an effort to help the changlings adjustment from wild nature of trading ships to a much more orderly station job.

some sketchy comics into Wyn's backstory cause ive been thinking about her. Overall girl is conflicted and feels stuck. I apologize if my writing is typo filled and hard to read. I had work so my brain is mushy💀

Got the Stanley parable tonight too so more yellow (from what I've seen at least. Fan art, out of context clips, and the sale have finally pushed me to get the game.)

mom said it was my turn with the Carnelian lives au

I know everyone and their mother makes these but honestly Carnelian and umber should have had 10x more screentime (biased lmao)

Anyway in my au Carnelian does die but skywing gods deem her worthy of rebirth due to her fighting spirit. She has served the skywing tribe all her life and doesnt deserve to have it end via failed assasination attempt

After being left in the mourning cave she awakens with odd new features including feathered ears and golden scales. every wound from the dragoncactus is now covered in a golden shell. Scars remain to remind her of her strength and the gold is representative of fire. Her wing webbing having been burned is now also glittering gold, some refer to it as looking like golden silk tightly weaved together. The feathered ears are more of mystery but does spark many religious theories (I really just wanted to give her an owl like head 💀)

Of course her return startles many and causes rise of more animus speculation but Queen Ruby is happy to have her back. I believe Carnelian would remain a the academy for a few years but only to cram in all her classes then return to the skywing kindom. She wouldnt really stick around to make friends but she wouldnt look down on her winglet and would act a bit friendlier towards them.

In the future she becomes a general, though with the lack of war she found herself participating in more community activities and service. This helps her become a highly reguarded general, loved by many. She'll never settle down and have dragonets but the community will reguard her as a motherly figure. Old and wise she becomes.

overall this au is, again, giving a character I like a break lmao. but this also experiments with the kinda "god" like figures and beliefs briefly mentioned in the books (even tho skywings are kinda more reincarnation baised) idk any way is interesting to me

The world will tremble

"I'm ontop of the world!"

Vesuvius screamed from the top of the peak.

"Haha of course but we should go back down."

Her pursuer, a man with ruby scales whose heart was tied to Vesuvius's beauty, shouted as he nervously made his way up.

"The moons alight my crown and the stars sparkle with their whispers of admiration."

Vesuvius purred in delight as she watched the moon with greedy eyes.

"I shall make the world tremble in excitement as my talons return to the dirt."

"Your starting to spook me Vesuvius."

The male chuckled nervously; Vesuvius looked back venom lacing her gaze as she sneered

"And your starting to bore me."

Vesuvius returned to the ground alone.
