(also as a note this early on Anthea, the Lamb, just assumes the twins are biologically Narinder's kits. The twins aren't actually blood related to him, but the lamb just took one look that first meeting after execution and assumed 'Yeah those two are his' and went with it. Honestly, in TMP I think both Bones and Spock were cultivating some kind of "oh I'm sexy and I don't even care" air as they rejoined the ship, except Spock had days' worth of warning for a makeover and Bones was literally forcibly beamed off the disco floor with no notice
