Lloyd: Remember! Curiosity killed the cat.
Kai: Yes, but you forget that satisfaction brought it back. So yes, Wyldfyre, go find out if that thing can catch fire!
Lloyd: You're a bad influence.
Kai: And you don't know your sayings.
Zane: What’s your favorite color?
Cole: Stop asking stupid questions. Ask me something logical and mature.
Zane: How many moles of sodium bicarbonate are needed to neutralize 0.8ml of sulfuric acid at STP?
Cole: Orange, my favorite color is orange.
Chase: *cooking*
Dashi: *kicks down door*
Dashi: *grabs knife from Chase’s hand*
Dashi: WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT DESTRUCTIVE BEHAVIOR?
Chase:
Chase: What.
Dojo: He’s trying to tell you he wants to cook.
Chase: If I accidentally sat on a voodoo doll of myself, would I be trapped forever in that position, doomed to starve to death?
Wuya: How am I supposed to know?
Dashi: You say, as if we don't use you as a source of knowledge of the occult.
Wuya: *sighs*
Wuya: You wouldn't be trapped.
Movie Nya: I'm going to fight the next person who insults Lloyd. Movie Lloyd: I hate myself. Movie Nya: Alright, square up.
No no no. Quickly, Perry or Candace, one of you do the Ryan pose! He was my favorite. Don't leave my boy out 😭
So excited tho. The nostalgia is real strong with this one
Killow: *sharpens knife* We've got ways of making people talk.
Killow: *cuts piece of cake*
Cole: ...Can I have some?
Killow: Cake is for talkers.
Lloyd: Kai just insisted Nya and I remember a code word in case we're ever confronted by his evil clone or a cyborg doppelganger and we're not sure which is the real him and which is the imposter.
Lloyd: Some families have a fire escape plan, but not us.
Nya, after hearing about Lloyd's duel with Zeatrix: What do you mean she sliced you?!
Lloyd: Like a birthday cake.
Nya: Don't try to sugarcoat this! I can't believe it! I leave for two days and this happens.
Lloyd: She said she was sorry.
Nya: I think I'm about to commit regicide.
Lloyd: That's what you said after Harumi betrayed us and tried to kill me. I had to look it up.
Nya: Well, this time I mean it!
I'm so tired of people implying Nya's character is dependent on Jay's, when literally every single Jay arc revolves around Nya. Like have we even watched the same show?
Jay's true potential? Being himself around Nya. Jay's fight with Cole? Only because Nya suddenly has a thing for Cole. Skybound? Do I even need to say it? Prime Empire? Losing Nya is what motivates him during the final level because Jay can apparently only shine on his own when all the other ninja are eliminated in some way and he's the last one standing. His whole personality in the movie is shy and awkward with a crush on Nya.
Meanwhile Nya built a name for herself as Samurai X when she was a young teen because she was tired of being overlooked and stuck in her brother's shadow. Her interest in Cole might have been a little forced, but at least it proves she's open to alternatives, Jay is not. Possession is Nya being a perfectionist and embracing her flaws and overcoming the fear of failure in order to unlock her true potential and become the Water Ninja. Skybound is Nya trying to find her place in the team and dealing with gross misogyny. Hands of Times is Nya passing down her samurai armor. In Hunted her mission is to protect Lloyd and keep their hope alive. Seabound is about Nya's mommy issues, going with the flow, accepting the ups and downs of life and the importance of self sacrifice. Jay is only one of the people she sacrifices herself for. Then that one floating lantern message from one of the citizens of Ninjago: I'm suRe JAy mISsEs yOU a loT. Yeah, right. Jay and only Jay. Because Nya is all about Jay in their heads just like some of the fans apparently. Movie Nya is a badass motorbiker who looks up to the Lady Iron Dragon and doesn't even acknowledge Jay.
Not to throw shade on any Jay fans, I just wanted to point out how Nya is normally the more independent of the two, has more character development and protagonist energy. I'm so tired of her character being reduced to being Jay's girlfriend, Kai's little sister or heck even Lloyd's older sister, and I'm one of the biggest dragon siblings fan there is. Nya deserves better, so much better than this.
Okay, big MLP nerd here, to everyone saying 28 Pranks Later was disproportionate and how their prank traumatized Rainbow Dash, her first prank literally sent Fluttershy into hyperventilation.
And sayings they should have sat her down and have a meaningful conversation, like that's not the first thing they did after the opening credits.
Dash's "harmless" pranks involved intoxicating an old man, breaking a guy's tooth with a brick and potentially killing Big Mac.
And while I admit this one made me laugh, it's still property damage and definitely no way treating your future wife.
While I'm aware not every episode was perfect or every problem had the best solution they could have thought of, there's almost always a process. They usually analyse the situation, then try a bunch of crazy ideas to rule out the bad ones, retrace their steps and if the solution wasn't there all along they come up with a new plan which can be a combination of some of the old ideas or something entirely unexpected.
And while I like RD, sometimes she does actually need to be taught the hard way. She wouldn't listen to reason and people were starting to get hurt. Plus, they sort of had to earn her respect with their prank in order to get her to stop. That's just how Rainbow Dash is. A smaller prank probably wouldn't have gotten her attention and she would have only felt more challenged. They had to best her at her own game.
You might not agree with me, but from what I've seen, and I've been here for a long time, there's usually a logic in MLP.
is it just me or did this happen a lot
