For my twenty-third Evangelion book review, here is Evangelion Racing RQ: Sentou to Nichijou (Evangelion Racing RQ: Combat and Everyday).  It contains photographs – mostly in full color – of the race queens from the official Evangelion Racing team of 2012.  This book is not available in English or French, but it’s all pictures except for the credits at the beginning and end of the book, so this isn’t much of an issue.  However, the book comes with a DVD that is in Japanese.  More on that later.

The photographer is a woman named Maki Taguchi, and the five models are Noa Mizutani (Rei), Yuuna Chiba (Asuka), Mana Takatsuka (Mari), Haruna Noro (Shinji), and Hana Uneme (Kaworu).  The Shinji and Kaworu models’ outfits have shorts instead of miniskirts, but they still rock those high heels, as Kaworu demonstrates with Asuka here:
