There’s this book I read in elementary school and it was a middle school grade level book I believe. Anyway, it’s about an older sister and her younger brother going to visit? live? with their family member/uncle and I believe it has Egyptian mythology type themes in it, it definitely has ancient Egyptian mentions in it. Fun fact, this is how I know that Cleopatra wasn’t the only woman pharaoh because it mentions Hatshepsut in it and little 7 year old me got obsessed.
One scene I remember pretty vividly is one where they are on the train in the beginning and the little boy is rambling on but his older sister is lost in thought, which is okay since she has mastered the art of knowing when to nod and say “uh-huh,” “oh that’s not good,” “that sounds fun,” and so forth.

What if, when everything is less fresh, a statue is built at the academy. The statue is of two young men, both facing slightly different directions, but with their heads turned to look up and forward, onto the future. One of the men looks forward in unconcealed hope, hope for the future and what is to come. The other is more revered, but the hunger for knowing the unknown is said to be more intense than the other’s.
Despite everything that had happened, the academy argued that these were the finest students that they ever had the pleasure of teaching. They were both undeniably the Men of Progress, looking to help build a better life, despite what it turned into, in the end. Because in all worlds and all realities, only they could build something up and destroy it together.

Headcanons I Thought Of Instead Of Doing Homework
I’m convinced that Odysseus (Epic version, though OG version would probably have the same results) would adore Percy if they ever were to meet. It would take a minute (since Percy’s dad screwed Ody over) but Odysseus would be like: “I love this sassy child.” and he would like Annabeth even MORE because smarts.
Penelope would bake them cookies or something because if Odysseus is immortal (or something) of course his wifey is immortal too
