It might be March, but better late than never!

While I posted more fic in 2024 (see my 2024 year in fic) than I ever have before, I also read an absolute shitload. Below the cut are some of my favourites that were published in 2024, arranged by word count.

As always, there is an absolute wealth of talent in this fandom and the amount of goodness we have here never ceases to amaze me. The fics below all really did it for me in a number of different ways. Though my opinion is subjective, I will happily vouch for all of them. Happy reading! 📚

In his defence, Harry's perfectly tailored blue robes, mixed signals, and French accent do not help.

Ooh, now this is a good question! I *know* I’ve read some, but I can’t think of them off the top of my head (unless @burberrycanary’s A Man Takes His Sadness Down to the River (The Consolation of Philosophy) series has that plot point? I’m not sure)

So… I got a notification from the State Department at like 8 PM Pacific that my passport was approved, and I was quietly thankful and stunned bc my legal gender in Oregon is listed as X, or undeclared, and that's what's on my passport. I'm pretty sure someone(s) worked late to get the X passports done today.

I was already really grateful to whoever in the Seattle Passport Office worked late to get these things processed on the last Friday before That Man gets back into office... and then I got a notification that my passport shipped at fucking midnight Pacific and whoever got that shit out the door so it couldn't be picked up on Monday and like, denied and shredded?

They're my fucking hero.

Its about ghosts and the ocean and (at least the metaphorical ??) string of fate. Gosh I love it so much and drowning is kinda my thing but usually the other way round.

Still trying stuff out with digital painting but it's getting there. (Also I feel like this composition has been done to death (ha!) but it was fun to do!)
