Wow! I Read The Demo And The Writing Is Soo Good!! And This Is Still The Prologue! I Wish You Goodluck

those of you who have followed me for a while may have noticed that i took quite an extended absence from tumblr and i've been a bit cagey about why that is. i have been trying to be more thoughtful about the parts of myself i share with strangers on the internet, mostly as a way to guard against people who aren't very nice.

all of that being said, i've just finished my entry for the neo-twiny jam and i think the reason will be pretty obvious for everyone who plays it: i had a baby! (congratulations to me etc etc).

coming in at 494 words, this project has been a really cathartic opportunity to reflect concisely on one of the best and hardest things i've ever done.

I'm sorry for the lack of updates for a week. I've been fully immersed in writing and taking breaks as needed, but my sole focus has been on writing. I hope it all pays off in the end!

What are the ROs love languages?

Aurelian:

1- Gifts: whether you're romancing Aurelian or just having a platonic relationship with him, he will gift you lots of presents that MC loves. For instance, if they were in the market and MC showed interest in something, the next day it might be outside your door. ;)

2- Words of affirmation: this boy will compliment MC every time they are alone, "Did I ever tell you that I love your eyes?" And then sneakily proceed to kiss MC's eyes. (sneaky snake)

3- Physical touch: the thing he loves most receiving from MC is hugs. It may sound simple, but in reality, it has a big impact on him for reasons that will be revealed in the next chapters. ;)

Elara:

1- Quality time: Elara loves and treasures every single moment she spends with MC, whether they are having a quick conversation or taking a walk together. She appreciates it when MC comes to her while she's studying something new that interests her, and MC just sits somewhere close, picking up a book or just relaxing.

2- Words of affirmation: this is sweet Elara we are talking about; she absolutely loves to give MC encouragement if they feel down or actively listen to them. (😩)

Kazuo:

1- Act of service: he is ferociously loyal and always tries to help MC in any way he can. He always looks out for MC when they go hunting or finishing a task. If MC was injured in a hunt, Kazuo would go out of his way to help them and stay beside them until they get better.

2- Quality time: Kazuo appreciates any moment with MC, especially when they're training together. He loves seeing MC in their fighting mood.

3- Physical touch: Kazuo won't be too pushy or clingy with his touch. He will just hold MC if they get stuck or injured. When he is in his lycan form, he loves to gently rub his cheek against MC's cheek when MC pats him behind his ears.

Aiden/Ava:

1- Physical touch: they absolutely adore any touch from MC, whether it's holding hands while walking or snuggling with MC. They will do anything for more kisses and cuddles from MC. (Their life motto is: kisses and cuddles any free time)

2- Words of affirmation: they will make you go crazy with how much they compliment and praise you for any simple thing you do. If someone accidentally bumps into MC and they help them up, A will praise MC until they die from embarrassment.

3- Gifts: when A comes back from a job they had (stealing, lol), you bet they will always come back with something extra just for MC. "A…where did you get that from?" You looked at them suspiciously.

"…" A averted their eyes from you, looking at the floor, the wall, the ceiling—anything but you. (🥺)

SC:

1- Physical touch: they will always, I mean always, find a way to tease and seduce you in any manner they can think of. Their brain is just full of two things (MC, bed). MC might need to scold them. 😔

2- Act of service: they always find a way to help MC, but is it for their satisfaction or something else? 👀

I'm so tired. I've been coding and writing for the past 9 hours, only stopping to drink or stretch. But it was worth it. I'm so happy with what I've accomplished today. 😌

Sigh...I simply can't wait for more!! I know it's not much, but just that first little bit has me intrigued. I want to know who this enigmatic figure is that has set us free and given MC the chance to enact ( or is it exact? hm idk lol) the revenge he's been plotting all these years.

I haven't slept since yesterday, and now when I want to go to sleep, my brain is saying no, and to top it off, my cat got the zoomies...

Do the RO's have preferred pet names? I bet SC has an abundance of them, my MC would probably use petnames for them as well since "Soul Collector" is more of a title than a name.

In all honesty, it would warm the hearts of all the ROs to be called any affectionate names by MC. 💗

Speaking of names, here are some interesting facts about SC name and how names hold significance in the story:

You were correct in mentioning that SC is more of a title given by those who knew them, as it has been a long time since anyone truly knew their real name or is alive to share it. There's a rumor that hearing their actual name would cause eardrums to burst, leading to fatal bleeding. Others claim that even reading their name aloud would result in choking on one's own blood.

In this world, demons (or creatures, humans, etc.) have status levels based on their energy, abilities, or powers. A being with a lower level cannot utter the true name of someone with a higher level than them. This ability to say names becomes a clear indicator of one's status level.

It's important to note that human energy varies, and their names can be spoken by anyone. For example, Aurelian has angelic blood in him, so he can't be considered purely human. However, being a half-blood, he has the ability to lower his energy level, allowing others to safely address him. But if he desired, he could exert dominance over others through his energy.
